Tanasiri did well in her role, I have to give her that. Do you remember when the other consorts caught a rabbit during the hunt and went to submit it? Dokman used one kine eye to look at them, 'their Ladyships, one little bunny.'



Who else felt like the new empress was more evil and sly than Tanasiri.

Golta was such a good funny PA not sure what they call their personal eunuchs.. But he was funny always moaning Pae-Haaa

His betrayal was a freaking mighty twist I never expected..

Lwkmd. Those personal eunuchs are down right hilarious ( just like in Moon Embracing the Sun). My mum and I were still joking this evening about that Pae-Haaa stuff. She was like 'pear ko, mango ni' lol.

Remember the costumes they wore during the royal hunt. With the beautiful fur lining? I loved how Nyang and emperor looked in those scenes. Especially when he pinned her on her back in his tent... ::Blush:::

Lmao so many memorable scenes for me, can't name them all here. Sometimes I re-watch the very first time they met, and the whole journey of how they became close at first (being his bodyguard, teaching how to use the baby arrow, helping him escape back home, getting him into that smelly salted coffin.. The way he depended solely on her was so so sweet. Lmao there I go again...

Nyang's costume was lovely, as for Tanasiri, she looked like mother christmas.
JCW is really sweet when it comes to romance, just like in Healer. Such a puppy!

Healer is interesting once you come to terms with the fact that you're going to be seeing JCW for 20 episodes. If you can't stand it, imagine Yoo Seung Ho as the male lead, and you're good to go. Though, JCW is part of what made Healer to be Healer.

Funny enough for once I was happy with the ending though it went that way. Just because they handled it so well. Forget Empress Ki ooo I can never say anything bad about that drama

I love Empress Ki to pieces that I renamed it 51 episodes of awesome! I put like 100% emotions in it while watching, cried at the end, and took a brief break from dramas when I was through with it. But still 3 of my saddest
scenes in a Kdrama came from it.

1) When Tal Tal killed his uncle - I was teary eyed.
2) When Emperor confronted his mother and Kolta towards the end before personally killing the bas.ard - I shed a few tears
3) At the end when like @hilda90 said, Nyang finally told the Emperor those three words he'd been dying to hear while cradling his head on her laps... And he eventually died when he heard. - I cried ehn.
In Emperor's voice, no drama has ever moved me the way E. Ki did.

yep,I know but according to I read on empress ki thread soompi, that wasn't what they planned. yes ha ji won would still be empress but joo jin no will still be in d background. if u notice, after nyang went to d palace,koryo king's scene took a backseat. All the fights were just meh.

I expected that to happen right from the beginning. Nyang chose her destiny with the emperor in ep 4 when she agreed to ride the horse with him instead of with the King.

Wow wow wow can't imagine how Jang Geun Suk Mr Pretty Man would have handled Emperor's role.. He would have remained Second lead. Just like @ellab pointed out, Ji Chang Wook unexpectedly stole the spotlight and ended up turning into the male lead. What would have ended as a tragedy became the perfect ending ie we were overjoyed when the so called "second choice" love or second_lead_syndrome ended up with the girl for once...

Still ended up as a tragedy though. No happily ever after.

omo,i heard ji chang wook's role was given to jang geun suk but he rejected it and chose that crappy pretty man( bel ami) it seems that he didnt want to lose that asian prince nickname he gave himself by acting as a second lead,too bad the drama he chose fell flat on the ground.

Thank goodness he turned down the offer, 'cos I can't see any other actor for that role.
Jang Geun Suk looks too pretty to play emperor.

I've re-watched Empress ki many times mainly where JCW appears... He really killed that role.

Then he did it again. Healer.

I guess he needs just a good script and he's good to go.

JCW is cute, and I have a thing for cute guys crying. It makes me want to enter the drama and hug him after giving him a tissue.
But seriously, the other actor did shine in his own way. I like when the 2nd lead stand their ground in a drama, just like Yoo Ji Tae - Kim Munho- in Healer, he wasn't really overshadowed by Wookie.

have u read about the casting of empress ki? wookie wasn't for the role,he was the last resort.
Now empress ki has a lot,I mean a lot of veteran actors and actresses But JCW overshadowed them.Not cuz d director made it so(nope,d directors didn't. joo jin mo was d 1st lead)but his acting was so steller that d directors had to change d storyline in favour of him(that wasn't d plan from d beginning). ppl became more drawn to empress ki Cuz of baby emperor not koryo king and its Cuz of that k-netz nicknamed him puppy.
I can go on and on and u ll get tired of me but his good acting has given him so much hype that I don't blame u for thinking hes overrated all .

Do you really think so? The title clearly states 'Empress' Ki. An empress is the wife of an emperor, so Koryo king or not, she'll still have chosen puppy, and viewers won't have it any other way otherwise, they'll break their TV sets and kill the PDs after that lol. Besides, the drama was based on the real Empress Ki who married the emperor.

I love the way he portrays his roles. he has the abilities to move people.heart. he dosen.t fake tears he acts with emotion and yet people rank actors that are not as as good as he is and handsome as he is over him lolz well he.s also known as little so Ji sub because of their resemblance.. even park shin hye want to have a drama with him in the future..

Yoo Seung Ho has all the time in the world to shine. He's younger than all those other actors, and done with his military service which is an advantage to him. Whatever he does next after Joseon Magician, I'll be supporting him.
