I've watched it o... Lol. You can't put it better; simply awesome! I enjoyed every bit of it. Like you suspected earlier, it was streamlined along the actual historical happenings.

I like the fact that each major player gets as much as he/she deserves. The biggest struck was the Jeok Hak's family, her mama? Waoh, I can't have it better. Those people got a taste of being an helpless servants ke. Lol.. No pity for the mother, actually! And the King? His overwhelming defeat had overrun his sense of judgment. The toppling of his rule was seen coming. I see him as an architect of his misfortune. Too much misrule in his reign. Noksu? Lol... Poor Noksu.. I don't know why I feel the angst transferred on her by the people was largely unmerited. Ouch, she's a co-traveler of the King and of course, partner-in-crime. Finally, I'm happy for Hong Chum Dong, family and his comrades. Those guys are the best. And the biggest gainer in all of these is?? Yeah, Mori! He came to the party late, got repented and eventually become baptized. I'm happy for him. Lol..

The series is sure an interesting ride. I enjoyed my time..

I think I was much more happy with how Jeong Hak and his mother ended up than I was with the King and Noksoo. Cos while I kinda knew how the King and Noksoo will end up, I couldn't predict Jeong Hak and mummy Hak's ending.
It was pretty gratifying to see them end up as the servants they spent their entire lives hating, no other end could have been better.

I like how the bad guys King, Noksoo, scholar Song et al were unrepentant till the end. It would have been out of character if any of them had any sudden bout of repentance in the end.

And I'm happy none of the Hong brothers died in battle. I couldn't have asked for anything more, just keep the brothers safe. Thanks, writernim.

I kinda wish Gil Dong introduced his wife to his brother and sister specially, but anyhow, maybe the director of the drama was conserving screentime.

@bolded, I don't know why this made me laugh so much. Mori got a family and a sister! Yippeee!!!!! Even though the sister was pretty much wasted in the drama.

The thing is, the longer they stay away from movies/dramaland, the harder it is to return. Because nobody wants a flop comeback and if people that used to be interested in them have moved on, a flop is almost inevitable.

It's been 400years since Do Min Joon came to earth and since Oppa's movie has been announced.

The first trailer is out....finally! Whew!

And the movie itself is coming out in June.

I guess Oppa will be in the news a lot more from now on since he's gonna be promoting the movie...his last before military service.

Methinks you're still dreaming, because yes, she's a confirmed cast member of Falsify, but SBS is still looking for a female lead. The actress they offered the role has opted out, but they are still begging her to reconsider.



Except if SBS has moved on and bumped up Jeon Hye Bin to female lead, which is always a welcome idea.


She and Im Joo Eun are leading lady materials, I don't understand why they are perpetually stuck in second lead territory.

Ah no o. The drama left a very big WTF shaped hole in my heart and I'm still scarred by it. Nothing can ease that pain....except they star in another drama together and are the OTP there.

There are tons of other programs airing at the same time on other networks. Not everybody watches dramas, you know?

Among the big 3 dramas airing at that particular time, Ruler is the number one. You compare ratings for dramas with ratings for other competing dramas. Not drama ratings with like ratings for a variety show or a news/sports broadcast airing the same time with the drama. You get?


Just because a drama doesn't get number one or two spot overall doesn't mean it is not doing well.

It's hard seeing historical drama taking the first/second/third place in ratings. They usually ends up in 10th, 12th, 6th, 8th, 13th e.t.c positions.

You sure about that? What of the likes of Empress Ki, Six Flying dragons, the princess's man, sungkyunkwan scandal, Jumong, Jeong Do Jeon, moonlight drawn by clouds, Moon that embraces the sun (since it aired in 2012, no weekday drama has been able to beat its ratings. Over 40%) and the likes.

Even Rebel that is currently airing is second place in its timeslot. And Ruler is 1st.

because of kim so hyun, I gave "Who are you: School 2015" a try the day before yesterday and finished it yesterday. because of fans complaint about the ending, I refused to watch it 2 years ago. finally, I did at last.
I was heart-broken. Why Yi_an(Nam joo-hyuk)? Why not Tae-kwang(yook sung-jae) ?
I did research to be sure if I downloaded the wrong final episode, then I realized that the fans who were angered were right.
The second lead syndrome was too strong. There was bewilderment among TaeBi couple fans across the Internet.

Oboy, yesterday night, I entered YouTube, started searching for comfort related videos to repel the heart-break. I watched uncountable videos and read uncountable number of comments. Though, I finally came across the KBS 2015 best couple award and was relieved. first lead female and second lead male received the best couple award. Even though, they didn't end up together. I have never seen such in K drama entertainment award. Perhaps, Fans compelled them to do so.

Lol. As far as I can tell, except the historical is outright boring, goes haywire in the middle of the drama or laced with bad acting, historical dramas get around moderate to high ratings.

I dunno about L's character arch for now, except that he likes GE and he's noticing CP likes her too. Even though he's not as erratic as pyunsoohwe's marker granddaughter, he might still do something to come between them.

Fine, I agree it's almost impossible to insert PPL in sageuk, but why did they suddenly want to be airing commercials during episodes? They've been doing dramas all these years without it, so why now?

And sbs too, are they doing sageuk?


Cable networks do it, but they don't cut the EPs into two, they air the commercials right there during the drama. So when ifans are downloading, they just edit out the commercial parts and we get a complete episode.
Unlike what MBC and SBS are doing. Its annoying when they say they are airing two EPs per day and in reality it is just one EPs divided into two.

It was when she was going and she saw the mark on him in his Prince's robe that she realized the guy she pricked was indeed the cp.

When she now marked herself later that night.....that was the creepy part.

She was acting so creepy,marking him and calling him my crown prince like he belong to her when he doesn't even know she exist... To think that she doesn't wanna be a crown princess few days ago coz she thought he was a leper but stalking him like a creep after seeing his handsome face.

Plot twist. Chairman Kang in Whisper was so pissed off he couldn't be one of the lawyers in Taebek, so he had Chairman Choi kill him in order to become a District Attorney in Suspicious partner.

Her character undergoes a personality change along the line, so hoping her acting undergoes a change as well.
