Madumere, the Prince that made HOPE UZODIMMA THE GOVERNOR, unfortunately, he did it in good fate to spite his then principal Rochas but ended up abandoned by HOPISM.

Many of us in South East will show lipservise to APC to share the money and vote our choice candidate

GBAM!!!!!

You have hit the nail on the head. Nigerians want to eat their cake and still have it. Nigerians give building and construction contracts to family and friends instead of qualified people and still expect those buildings to be of standard integrity.

I have bachelors and masters degrees in Engineering with COREN registration but people who didn't even study anything engineering will be getting building contracts. What I see in the construction industry is appalling

My sympathies to the affected families.
Very pathetic
They will tell they have built many buildings and they never collapsed as their own justification

How can a country grow in this type of trap

Paraman:
The process of Autonomy was not started under Buhari. The national assembly under Jonathan and Buhari also tried to grant finacial autonomy to the LGAs, but they failed woefully.

People like you are so irritating. You're the first clown I will see make this kind of irritating comment.

When Buhari paid LG money directly to LG accounts, the Governors dragged the FG to the supreme court and got a favourable judgement.

Right now, Tinubu has not only made sure LGAs get their funds directly, LG Chairmen can't be sack by Governors.

It's an insult for you to claim the person who made this possible do not deserve a praise.
Are you saying that Tinubu influenced the judgement?

If financial Autonomy of the local government in Nigeria has been existing in the Constitution of the land but neglected over the years but someone took step for it not to be neglected... So the person who finally took the step to make sure financial autonomy become possible for the LGAs do not deserve to be praise?
This process of Autonomy was started under his predecessor and I think the Judiciary that has the final say deserves the glory

Politics › LG Fiscal Autonomy........who Is To Take Accolades ? by Atuero(op): 5:34am On Jul 13, 2024
I am a little bit skeptical and confused as regards the way Tinubu supporters have been rejoicing over the supreme Court judgement on the financial Autonomy of the local government in Nigeria which has been existing in the Constitution of the land but neglected over the years.

The question that comes to my mind is since the Judiciary is an independent arm of Government, are they not the body to take the accolades for such courageous and historical judgement?........... those praising Tinubu on the judgement, doesn't it mean He interferes and influences the Judiciary?

I don't think this is part of the responsibility of the executive arm of Government who should be busy making policies and developing strategies that will make life easy for the citizens.

From his first speech at the swearing in ground, he has shown courage. Right there on the swearing in I, he abolished Fuel Subsidy and FOREX subsidy, two things that Abdulsalami Abubakar, Olusegun Obasanjo, Umar Yar'Adua, Goatluck Jonathan, anf Muhammadu Buhari could not do for over 30 years
That was a careless courage, are Nigerians not feeling the negative impact?
Is subsidy truly removed?

I hardly trust APC, during the time of primary elections, APC ward executives were taught how to twist the truth and that affected the thinking faculty of those who are not used to lieing

LG fiscal Autonomy

Politics › Re: Fact Check: Did Peter Obi Conduct Any LG Elections During His Tenure? by Atuero(m): 12:40pm On Jul 12, 2024
helinues:
Obidients should be ashamed.

Una overnight messiah only conducted LG election in his last year out of 8 years as a governor. The last year self was even by court orders if not Peter Obi wasn't interested in conducting any.

The question is, what happened to the money meant for Anambra state LG for that 7 years?
I don't envy your job because the KPis is terrible and unachievable, it is no longer that he never conducted election of LGA

You have shamelessly accepted that he did, your problem now is that he did at the near end of his tenure and was forced by court injunction to do so.

Summary
He conducted elections
He even obeys court injunction and order
He is a Democrat
He is even the first to conduct LG elections in Anambra state after 14yrs of return to Democracy
Where is the $10k Reno promised online? Has it been redeemed?

Tinubu conducted in 2004 when every other Governors apart from Anambra, that was like it was compulsory then and never repeated the second one when some of his mates conducted election in the year 2007, what a shame
Politics › Re: Supreme Court Judgement On LG Autonomy Takes Immediate Effect - AGF Fagbemi by Atuero(m): 12:21pm On Jul 12, 2024
Ok oooo

What happens if the Governor refuse to obey the court?

Only financial Autonomy is not enough for LG to be independent and thrive, give them both administrative and political Autonomy, let INEC conduct their elections and I tell you it is going to be very free and fair because of the limited area of coverage, the sharing formula has to be adjusted also to give more allocation to the state and low down that of the FG, that fairness

BERNIMOORE:
Fubara has deceived those urchins Jumping up on CTC appointment, One chance grin grin grin

implication now is that FG Now controls whoever is elected LG chairman, The FG will easily select and this Gives APC candidates more advantage, so we expect even fubara chosen ones I mean the few ones he can influence to Rebel against him.....and join with APC FG....of course the FG will dangle the carrot....VERY INTERESTING....when a child is tall like the father, he got no experience and tricks like the father..
Why singling out Fubara? Why no pretend? How can fg control election that will be controlled by the Governor?

APC damages brain thinking cells, so you have shown that APC has been manipulating Nigeria elections and determines who gets what?
