The Google Pixel 6/6pro killed it, but definitely has its own flaws as well.

The new chip on pixel 6/6pro beats the Snapdragon 888, while the Bionic 15 on iPhone 13pro beats the Google Pixel chip and Snapdragon 888.

I will definitely wait for the next tensor chip of the Google Pixel device, because there will be more improvement in the next and I dont like the design of the Pixel 6/6pro.

The magic eraser or similar was already available on Samsung phones, that is not an innovation. What they did with HDR and computational photography though? That is game-changing. Those smart filters doesn't necessarily define innovation. I'm looking to see what they could do with mobile videos, any new smartphone can take a pretty good photo in the daytime. Night shots and videos are where hardware quality and software optimization kicks.

In this case Google doesn't actually lie. If you're a software person you would know Google is the leading company in AI and ML. They have the technical expertise, and the data very few companies in the world (if any, maybe Facebook comes close, or Apple if they start collecting user data) has access to. They're going to redefine what a smartphone is, you'll see.

Download Frijja (a computer software that download Samsung firmwares)

In Frija, type in your phone model number and CSC
you said your phone is model SM-N975U( which is definitely a Verizon or sprint, etc phone

type SM-N975U1 instead (so it will download a US unlocked firmware (U1). this is very important

in the CSC box type XAA

it will find the latest US unlocked firmware, download should be around 4GB. after download completes unzip the file


after that download Patched Odin(very important) https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/patched-odin-3-13-1.3762572/

Use the Patched Odin to load the files you just unzipped.
1. BL will have BL file name
2. AP will have AP in file name
3. CP will have CP in file name
4. CSC will have CSC, **will wipe data!**
1. If you don't want to wipe data, use HOME\_CSC file
5. Click options on left side, make sure re-partition is not clicked
7. Put Note in Download mode
1. Turn phone off
2. Hold Vol up + down and
3. Hold power
4. Enter Bootloader using volume key and power button to hit enter
8. Connect phone to computer and you should see it as a COM in the upper left box in Odin
9. Click Start
10. Phone Should be updated after it's all done

It's because google has the software capable of handling it efficiently. The software department is where Google trump other android phone manufacturers. Just for example, when google started with computational photography, it destroyed the competition. Now almost everybody is catching up. For Google to have done that using the same sensor from Pixel 2 to pixel 5, one should expect that the pixel 6 with new sensor should destroy the market when it comes to photography. But hell NO. It's still on par with its competitors (APPLE & SAMSUNG). That is why I'm not impressed with Google. They have a better hardware now and one should expect better result but it's like the hardware doesn't matter at all when it comes to Google software. Therefore, a high end Snapdragon chip will still perform the same AI and ML functions the tensor chip. I just see this Tensor chip as just another Kirin chip (which is a good chip though)

I have replied gchux1 on this issue. Google markets the tensor chip to be great on AI and ML. Please give one real life scenario where this has worked. It might work as Google as envisaged in the future but right now is not more than a gimmick just the same way they marketed the Soli Radar system on Pixel 4XL. I'm not hating on the he pixel 6 phones rather I'm just disappointed in it cos I had high expectations for it. Maybe the next generation of Tensor chip will win me over but definitely not this one. Still a pixel lover though

I for advise you not to do it yourself. Give it to someone to do it for you.

The process can be time consuming and frustrating.

You need to following.

Odin. (Latest version)
Samsung drivers
The firmware you want to install.

Find those three and use YouTube. You'll be able to do it by yourself.

By the way, firmware is a bit tricky to find. And it will take like 4GB of data to download. And you may have to do it multiple times till you find the correct one.

Check sammobile for firmwares. Ridiculously slow download speed unless you register with them.
