You are half-true(240 only qualifies you for ABU post-utme)...but admission mark is way beyond that depending on the performances from your state. you could get 320 and be deny admission if your state has mad gurus. And note ABU is the only university in Nigeria that has students from all 774 local governments in Nigeria and lecturers from all 36states. (I've witness this first-hand in my dept#pharmacy)

*(so there's a higher chance you will gain admission if you can beat people from ur state). Shalom

Hey bro. From what I can see you've learnt/learning html Css and JavaScript. But to get a job, I'm afraid you have to pick up a framework be it frontend or backend. There is serious scarcity of junior software developer roles so the few that emerge comes with a lot of requirements. So your current stack may not cut it.

I'm not actually looking for a job yet, won't be looking for one in the next 2 or 3 years.

So until I've gotten a better understanding of what web development is all about, I will keep on learning and asking for help from full-stack developers

But later i realised i cannot cope with coding at the same time medical laboratory practise. I had to leave coding. Op. You are obviously learning wrongly . I learnt alot from videos when I started off and this is how. First you need to know that crash courses are not good for beginners (opinion) secondly, you need to look for a youtuber that explain things in a way you understand, I will recommend (CODEVOLUTION AND CODEADDICT ) if you checkout this guys and liked any of their teaching pattern then go for their JS tutorial, most times they are series or 10hours video which might take you 20days to complete , you have to focus on understanding concepts rather than completing a tutorial in a set out time , the best way to learn with a video is to go through that video the first time without doing anything , let's say a ten hour video make out time to watch 30min of it without following along then watch it again the second time but this time in bits of 5min, after you watch the first 5min stop the video and try out what the teacher did without looking for any source, then spend time implementing that again in a different concept ( like change the primitive variable type (cast), use an object instead of an array, create a different function from the one the person created and so on ) this way the concept sticks and you can implement it anywhere . This might be a very slow approach but it works really well. I learnt through this pattern and anytime I speak with my colleagues they wonder how I get to understand this things so deeply.
Thirdly, Build small projects like the frequently ask question of Netflix , a simple login form and so on , and celebrate your small wins. in this field every little step matters, if I remember how I started I just smile and thank God for the journey thus far . Believe in yourself it is possible.

IN learning python, i started by learning how to build networking tools and that helped me in my field as a network engineer.

Youtube is the 2nd most visited website in the world(After google, it's parent company). It is also the 2nd most used search engine. There are billions of hours of content being uploaded every week. A lot of youtubers consider it a full time job

A lot of creators on youtube are desperate for success on the platform so much that they need to beat the youtube algorithm in order to achieve their aims and objectives. So how do they achieve this

1. Posting contents as much as possible
2. Clickbaity Title and Thumbnail(To increase CTR i.e click through rate)
3. Other useless things to increase their Audience retention rate(In blogging, we call this bounce rate)
4. E.t.c

Sometimes all these are done for their selfish interest rather than give value.

Another disadvantage of YOUTUBE learning is that their are too many resources. There is information overload and their is something called the paradox of choice. This states that the diversity of our choices cause us stress and, ultimately, a feeling of being trapped & unhappiness. Their recommendation algorithm is top notch. You will keep watching random non beneficial videos till you run out of data

Instead of youtube learning, try and enroll on Udemy or Lynda or Coursera(you get the point). Or try and buy paid courses of your favorite youtubers. You will get more value rather than watching RANDOM videos. Also paying for something will give you extra motivation

I learn on youtube all the time, but that is me. I know what i'm doing, i know how to sieve out irrelevant content from relevant ones.

All that being said, you might want to consider getting my I.T MEGA BUNDLE. No need of data sub, I will also and mentor you in case you are stuck.

You've said it all...cus the scenario u just narrated applies to me. I tend to watch too many videos on YouTube that I get overwhelmed with the different knowledge from the different tutor.
