The man that played a key role in bringing the government we are all enjoying today in Nigeria.

Are you being sarcastic or you are really enjoying the government of today?

My preferred candidate is Mr. Peter Obi.
He is my candidate because with him, I see hope.
His record as Anambra State Governor is that he finished up without owing anyone in the state salary, no owing of gratuity, no owning of contractors and then also leaving huge funds for the incoming governor to continue the good work with.
This is a very unlikely report for a Nigeria state governor of 8years and I believe that if he can do that for the state, he can as well extend that to the national level.
This is just my basic support reason as there are others but I will leave it at this for now.

The presidential election is fast approaching and the media platforms are not left out in the campaign process.
As exposed individuals, I want to make this post for we all to throw lights on the capability of our presidential candidates.
Do you know your candidate very well?
Do you know about his past success records?

Key Question: If Nigeria was to be your personal company and as CEO, you need to employ two people at the management position of your company, who would you give the job in the pairing of Ahmed Tinubu and Shettima, Peter Obi and Datti, Atiku Abubakar and Ekowa?

Over the past few weeks, there have been a wide range of accusation on the supporters of the fast moving presidential candidate of the Labor Party, Mr. Peter Obi popularly referred to as the 'obidients' regarding their inability to comfortably accommodate the supporters of other presidential candidates especially on social media platforms.
While I see no reason why no individual should be involved in making utterances that can be seen as a threat to the national unity of Nigeria, I wish to be elaborate in some of my findings regarding this online war between these supporters.
As a human, you really don't have to be thought about what is wrong or right before you will know the actual truth. This is because humanity is created in Gods own image and likeness and from onset, the consciousness of what is right and wrong is already inside you even before you are introduced into any religion or trained in any academic establishment. This explains why a baby would at some point, bite the mother nipple and stop to stare at the mother to see her reaction. Even as a baby, his consciousness is already able to identify the abnormal to some extent.
Same goes to the outside world. Irrespective of any tribe, religion or tradition that we are born into, and irrespective of the ideas that have been made to be part of us, there is still something in us that will always point out the thing that is right and wrong. Problem is that a lot have chosen to ignore this and just go ahead with what the general public would most accept.
What I define as a family is when everyone (or most people) within the group seek to work towards making the togetherness even a better one.
Once you can read this post, you are a well grown adult with a good sense of comprehension and discernment.
When people fight you for working towards your personal benefits, it's an understandable situation. But when you are willingly working towards the overall better existence of people you see as a family without consciously looking out for your personal gain and someone is trying to sabotage your effort, it would be one of the most annoying things to experience.
Let me tell you that if the APC party produced Yemi Osinbajo as her Presidential candidate, the battle between supporters in the coming election would have been the most civil that we all would have seen because it would be a battle of two promising leaders that the country needs and it wouldn't be a Muslim - Muslim ticket that would cause a questioning to whether the APC party members have a genuine tolerance for the Christian Religion individuals as one of the major religion stronghold of the country.
The foundational problem of the PDP is the fact that their candidate appointment procedure was dicy. How can you keep zoning to the North when the actual zoning was supposed to be to the sought? Does it mean that no other region in the federation is capable of effectively handling the affairs of the nation or are you just doing it because you stand a better chance of winning the election if you zone it to the north? It brings the question of whether the party just want to put a member of them to occupy the position of authority rather than doing what is right the way it should be.
I have not directly advocated for any candidate in this article and I think a proper look at the facts is very important before we make our decision.
We are all Nigerians and a very large number of us see the situation in the country. Anyone that we elect into the seat of our president would be there for 8years (most likely) and I am sure no one will like to live in regret for that long.
So, if Nigeria was to be your personal company and as CEO, you need to employ two people at the top management position of your company, who would you give the job in the pairing of Ahmed Tinubu and Shettima, Peter Obi and Datti, Atiku Abubakar and Ekowa?
Just allow your answer to this question to guide who gets your vote come election day.

1. He ran the most secured state in Nigeria during his tenure. Former IGP Abubarkar gave him 5 years accollades of the most secured state back to back for 5 years.

2. The minister of works then gave him the best accolade of a governor that built 800km of road network in 8years over 230 roads

3. Educationally , He met Anambra at 26th position in 2006 and left it at 1st by 2014 when he was leaving.

4. He was the only governor that met the millennium development goal in Nigeria in both education and health. In fact , Milinda and bill gate foundation gave him a personal gift of 1 million dollar for his achievement. Which he dropped in the state account rather than putting in his own private account.

5. He is the only former governor today that does not collect pension, gratuity, land gift and allowances since he left the govt in 2014.

6. When he became SEC chairman under President Jonathan, he told SEC to hold back all his allowance and entitlement as a Board chairman . He left without nothing. He said he does not need them.

7. When he was chairman of fidelity bank , he was entitled to two brand new cars annually. He told the board. I don't need them. Let me just come for meetings and go home.

Recently, I have, with kin interest, researched and meditated on your political path over the years. And I must say I am fairly intrigued with your political journey so far and the marks you have made in your sphere as a politician. It is however, against this backdrop I have taken the pain and time to write to you this nothing but a love letter; to extend my love and concern; devoid of any form of unhealthy sentiment.
Paying close attention to the political force in the air and the ultimate struggle for a seat I personally feel needs a messiah, not an ordinary man, I have come to notice a whole lot about politics, and many impunities I never thought existed or expect to exist. Looking at all the presidential candidates, I picked a genuine interest in you; not because you are my favourite, but because I feel more injustice have been done to you than any other in this race. Sadly, the conveyors of these injustice are just within your arms.
I have listened to dozens of interviews from quite a number of representatives from your campaign crew, and their illogical attempts to turn black to white; and I have come to the conclusion that your money is doing a lot of influencing and not your personality. The straw that broke the camel’s back is the recent I just listened to from four different representatives from your campaign crew; whose names I will not take the pain to mention. If you can remember, you had a campaign rally recently in M.K.O Abiola’s stadium in Abeokuta, Ogun state; where you rightly mentioned that some persons are trying to sabotage your victory with the new naira design and fuel scarcity. And just as rightly expected, your spokesmen have granted a number of interviews to defend and polish the statement to suit your political purpose.
The first I listened to, when asked about the statement you made, goes to say your statement only shows to Nigerians how democratic and tolerant your party is towards freedom of speech; and that you have the right to air your views as a Nigerian. That seems logical to the mind if you ask me. Then I listened to the second on the same subject. He vehemently and dramatically said you were not referring to the presidency or the CBN, that your statement was targeted at the PDP members who are still part of the public and private sectors, and are trying to sabotage your victory. At this point I felt not much harm has been made; so, I decided to listen to the third. Listening to the third speaker, I began to get clarity and to form my final submission. He said your statement was not targeted on the president, but at Godwin Emefiele, the CBN governor. He said the governor was your opponent in the primaries and does not want your victory in the forthcoming presidential election. Finally, the fourth was a woman. Innocently, she said people like to spread rumor. She goes further to say fuel scarcity is something that happens often in the country and cannot be targeted at your victory. She then concluded by saying that you never said any of those words; that people are just making them up on the social media. Now I am so confused. I really do not think these so-called representatives of yours are taking Nigerians for a fool like many would think, it is just clear that they do not care much about you, and to an extent, your victory, rather, the cash that keeps flowing from your cash-dispenser into their account; which is their primary interest. Worst case is that you will lose at the polls and they will defect to the ruling party.
Let me not bore you with my analysis of those interviews because I believe they are as clear as crystal. But in all these, I sympathize with you because I feel you do not deserve this caricature people are making out of you in the name of campaigning for you; judging by the remarkable mark you have made in politics. I honestly wish you still have the strength and sound health to manage Nigeria like you did when you governed Lagos state. But right now, you and I know that you need rest and the best old age experience you can get. Unfortunately, many of the people around you will not say this to you because they have a lot to gain from your campaign and leadership if you eventually win; not considering your wellbeing. At this point in your career, I feel you should be resting in your paradise and watch your political sons come to you for advice and counsel as the political father that you are. Thus, permit me to say you have made the biggest blunder in your political career by not letting your son, Yemi Osinbajo, to bear the flag of your party for this election; while you stand by his side to guide him to victory. That would have sealed and immortalize your name in the political history of this country.
However, I feel it is not to late to control the damage. Thus, my honest advice at this point sir, is that you consider all I have said and think it through if it is really necessary that you become the president of this country; considering your health and peace of mind. I know this last part of my advice will sound politically stupid and naive, but I still feel your best bet at this point is to step down and wheel your support to Peter obi. Sorry, that came out straight without any diplomacy, but that is just the best I can do to it. Sir, trust me when I say the world and Nigerians in particular will love and respect you for life if you can make this sacrifice for the good of the country. Peter Obi might not be able to bring Nigeria to a paradise during his tenure because Rome was not built in one day, but he has the prospect of setting Nigeria on the right path to paradise. Studying him, I have come to see that he does not have the conventional greedy political ideologies I see in most of our selfish politicians. He understands Nigerian’s problems, at least the basis, and has the experience, competence, character, and passion to set us on the right path to greatness. And this is what Nigeria is desperately in need of at the moment.
I have said a lot; I never intended this letter to be this long. Meanwhile, I earnestly hope this letter gets to you and you put into good consideration all I have said. But at the end, the choice is still yours to make. I humbly appreciate your time and attention, and do not take them for granted. God bless you sir, and God bless our beloved country, Nigeria.
