Christianity EtcDon’t Learn The Hard Way by autoprof(op): 6:56pm On Dec 13, 2016
In the ministry where I am privileged to be the lead pastor, I have learnt many things and what I try to avoid is learning the hard way. This is because sometimes, people don’t live to tell the story.
A child of less than 5yrs grabbed his mum in an unusual manner as she was about to step out of the house and prayed out loud; “mummy, trailer will not jam you today IJN.” She stood for a while pondering on the Child's prayer. Though that was strange, she stubbornly left for the market. The mercy of God delivered her from being crushed by a truck. She was “ brushed” by a trailer but it was not fatal.
In life, there are people who don’t easily learn except “the hard way.” Most times, this is caused by certain factors; character impediments, spiritual forces or family DNA. Despite the fact that, redemption has empowered man with what it takes to effect change, many are still oppressed through these vices.

Prov 29:1…He, that is been often reproved and hardeneth his neck (mind), shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. KJV
Prov 29:1…If you get more stubborn every time you are corrected, one day you will be crushed and never recover.GNT

The strong phrase I like to emphasize is “SUDDEN DESTRUCTION.” Usually, when someone or certain persons are rebuked either by leadership, church, friends, parents or God (through their conscience), they become stubborn when things don’t go the way they want. What follows? Some rebels, disloyal persons or sycophants begin to call them sweet names and tell them things they like to hear…. stand your ground, you are an adult, follow your heart, let nobody push you around, you are not a new convert, stand for “human right/justice,” etc. Then, one day something strange happens; sudden destruction. Unfortunately, those who encourage disobedience/rebellion never get to share in such consequences.

Many yrs back, I joined a taxi once from Warri and while inside the cab which was almost ready to takeoff, I lost my peace and suddenly was becoming uncomfortable and afraid of something I could not explain. I struggled for a while but finally summoned the courage to join the next cab on the line and became the first passenger. It was not going to be easy but I followed my heart. Immediately I obeyed my heart, I felt like the refreshing of the morning dew. In summary, when we finally took off on the journey, not long we met the first cab; it had being involved in an accident. All passengers had being evacuated to the appropriate quarters.

Don’t learn the hard way as a business man, as a pastor or in marriage. I know two ladies who refused to receive biblical counsel as regards marriage. They made up their minds who to marry and no one was going to counsel them otherwise…. None of them lasted more than three months after the wedding.

1. If you fail to learn the right way, you will learn the hard way.
2. The price for the hard way is usually a multiple of the normal way; and it happens when it is least expected.
3. Never be too proud to make a u-turn when you confirm that you are in the wrong direction.
4. Size, height, status, anointing and popularity never give immunity to errors and mistakes. Refusing to learn is pride…. And pride must usher in destruction… It’s just a matter of time.
5. When you offend people, don’t on your own decide for everyone to forget the past and move on; apologize to those you offended. This is how quarrels and differences are resolved.
6. Sycophancy is not loyalty. Never take a risk on the vow of a sycophant. They are very good at abandoning people in times of great distress. Pls, don’t learn the hard way.
7. If God brings people into your life, don’t disconnect from them based on what they don’t have; they may have outstanding roles to play in your destiny…. Don’t learn the hard way.
8. When people see leaders doing the wrong things and remain silent, it does not mean they don’t have brains to think. Most times, it’s a demonstration and the application of what they have learnt the normal way…..just to avoid learning the hard way.

Christianity EtcMany People Don’t Remember Yesterday by autoprof(op): 4:25pm On Dec 03, 2016
Remembering yesterday can be positive or negative. However, when positive, it can become a fountain of life.
I sat at home one day and my son informed me that an uncle was knocking on the door. So, I asked, “do you know him?” He replied, “Daddy, I don’t know him.” “I have never seen him before.” At this point, I became a bit careful to view through the window properly before opening the door. To my surprise, I also could not figure out his face.
At the end, the man introduced himself and presented a gift and a bottle of wine….he had bn trying to trace my house for over 6mths. He just came to say, “thank you” because of an employment he got in a particular oil and gas coy. It was a stress on me to push his matter at that time, but he finally got the job.

Interestingly, you would wonder why I did not recognize him. The truth is that, I had never met him or spoken with him. The head of a unit in a coy where I was well respected asked me to provide smone’s CV to fill a particular job space…. It was a specialized job. I had to ask a church member whose family needed urgent help to provide a person; just my contribution/sacrifice to their progress.
Positive contributions to smone’s life may be by direct physical proximity, through another individual, an agent, media like books, CDs or other platforms. For example, the testimony of my life today as a Christian and as a pastor, a father, and a husband is a product of those who God has used from time to time to add positive values to my destiny. Beyond words, I must emphasize that, I remain grateful to these churches, authors, pastors and models who have shaped my life positively.

Many people never remember yesterday…. on the platform of today’s success, they easily forget history. Sometimes, I see people who I paid house rent for when they were struggling; they trying to use me to showcase their “bigmanity.” …. People I literally pushed to own a roof over their heads… some to marry and settle down… helped to relocate abroad… people who God used me to rescue their marriage… some in prayers & fasting we stood on the word together for breakthroughs and when it happened, I was no longer their mate.
Knowing that “the rich also cry,” can you imagine investing time to sending sms to some people in this category and they misinterpret it as working towards obtaining smthing? Have you ever sent long sms to encourage someone who is “successful” to just say some word of encouragement and they reply; kk/ijn/tks/ok/fine/sty/ok chap/busy? It’s even more interesting when they think that, they cannot condescend to picking your calls…. They are no longer at your level. Paradoxically, when challenges or spiritual battle arise, you become the closest person to keep calling.

The truth is that, as Christians, we continue to do what is right to the glory of God. If you follow the behavior of many ungreatful individuals who easily forget yesterday, you will do thing that can offend God.

1. If you look around you and find none of those who contributed to your success, you have an attitude…. You don’t remember yesterday.
2. Trying to reciprocate those who have played a major role in the foundation of your success from surplus finances is unfair…. It must be by sacrifice.
3. No matter how far you have succeeded, don’t forget yesterday; the relationship may be relevant to your children.
4. Never say you don’t want anyone to insult you bc of a CV or employment or contract you can push to help someone/family; for your sake Jesus became poor, and received humiliation so that you can succeed in life.
5. Some people don’t remember, respect or regard those who sacrificed positively to their present platform of success… they delete such persons, but pay whatever price to be identified with the rich/celebrities who may have contributed nothing substantial to their foundation… that is flesh.

Christianity EtcH-e-l-p by autoprof(op): 11:53am On Nov 19, 2016
HELP….HELP…..HELP.. Have you ever heard this word or used it?

Help is something that everybody wants to receive when the need arises. Yes, help in different forms…. financial, medical, vocational or marital. Sometimes, people take physical steps to meeting those they have concluded are in position to help them. Usually, such choices are based on some physical parameters or info. But the truth remains; “it is he who wears the shoe that knows where it hurts”…. Only God truly knows who can help. Some people don’t look like it but have what it takes to change your life, business or ministry.

HAVE YOU EVER RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM A CLOSE RELATIVE AND THE CONVERSATION IS A REQUEST FOR HELP AND YOU TRY TO EXPLAIN AT SUCH TIME THAT YOU NEED HELP YOURSELF, BUT THEY ARE NOT READY TO UNDERSTAND?

Most times, when someone does not look depressed or share his pains based on faith in God, he is perceived as having no challenges at all or as someone in financial surplus. Some friends, relatives and church folks need to understand that it’s easier to help when a good relationship exist than to depend on SOS calls. “Don’t always use people to meet your needs and dump them.” Some people never call to ask after your welfare except when there is something to ask for. Most times, they feel they must be helped; otherwise they malign those from whom they are expected help.

Help is encouraged all over the scriptures. Help is instructed by God but help must be done based on God’s wisdom. If not, the helper can become the victim. Some people never live to tell the sad story; just bc, they wanted to help someone. Have you not heard about good and kindhearted people who tried to give a ride to other people in the rain and they ended bn robbed? I heard of a family that welcomed someone they had known long ago into their house based on kindness and he later raped their daughter.

Hear my story. Many years ago, I observed that a young man would deliberately delay in church after every service so that everyone lives the church auditorium. Why was he doing that? He had no accommodation; nowhere to sleep and bc of shame, he played this “delay game” so that no one knew his plans… especially the ladies. After all the stories after church, he would quietly sleep on that very cold floor every night.

When I noticed this, from a good heart, I offered him my completed one bedroom apartment which was a part of my humble house under construction at that time. In addition, I bought him a sound system so that he could start listening to biblical principles and become transformed. For his feeding, I bought cooking utensils, gave him sm money and made further plans to buy him Hollow block making equipment so he could generate funds for himself.

In your wildest imagination, can you guess what latter transpired?

After some weeks, behind my back, he placed for sale on my house. The complete
story of the way God intervened in my favor is an epistle for another day. The summary is that, one of those who came to inspect the property was a friend of mine. All these transpired while I was away working in the oil field. The most shocking is that, when I asked him to vacate my house, with effrontery he responded he was going nowhere. IT TOOK GOD AND MILITARY ASSISTANCE TO EJECT HIM FROM MY HOUSE.

1. Help is instructed by God but must be done based on God’s wisdom.
2. It is futile helping he who is reaping the harvest of his evil and wickedness.
3. You cannot help he who sees you as his prey.
4. You can never satisfy an individual who sees you as his challenge in life.

5. Whoever is arrogant and full of pride does not need financial help as first line of intervention. If you don’t change the mind, you cannot change the life. Even God resist the proud….and pride must usher in destruction as her last package.
6. Those who only define help in terms of financial gifts will remain as parasites. They will not kill you but want you to keep living while they continue to suck you dry.
7. Those who don’t believe that the word of God is dependable for help will burn you out.

Business To BusinessUse portacabins for your project by autoprof(op):
Portacabins and container conversion; SITE ACCOMODATION SOLUTION.
Anywhere there is plan for devolopment, there will be relevant projects to translate such plans into infastructural or technological assets. We always say, “where there is no project there is no progress.”
The sequence of project execution is very important. Sometimes, it can determine the difference between success and failure, profit or loss, financial waste or prudence in a project.
A few years back, a project was executed somewhere in Nigeria and during the construction phase, a dump truck was assigned to move materials within the large warehouse structure. After the completion of the structure with all the columns and beams errected, the contractor forgot that the truck would have to come out. The doors and lintels had being cast to size and steel members attached. The building could not be broken. The doors could not be expanded because of the structural damage that could be made on all the sensitive joints. It became a big challenge. Finally, the truck was decoupled inside the new warehouse and moved out in smaller parts and then, reasembled outside. More time, more money and people were deployed undertake the task.
On the other hand, at the end, compromise was made to the quality and strenght of the truck because local technicians coupled the truck without using the neccessary equipment. These are the kinds of activity or mistake when projects are not properly planed. Sometimes, even after planing, some mordifications come up. Where provisions are not made to handle such, major difficulty could arise.
Let me shear another experience. A few years back, during the site entry into one of the OML projects, we were contracted to fabricate some portacabins and security structures for a new oil and gas company. After the installation of the portacabins, six months into the project it was discovered that the best position for manifold was the same location the cabins where placed. The saving grace was the fact that, the offices and accomodation were provided for by the use of movable portacabins. The units were simply safely lifted out of position with a crain and relocated to a better place withing the site.
Also, during the flooding in Bayesa and Rivers state, we saw the advantages of starting a project with portacabin accomodation. They were moved out when the flood threats began. In a particular location where the community became so hostile, the cabins were simply withdrawn overnight before the aggrived youths attacked the following morning. The company never returned back but relocated to a more peaceful environment with thesame portacabin accomodation. If the accomodation was solid block work and concrete, how possible could this have being?
For any project in the third world, for offices and workers accomodation, we always advice to start with portacabin offices and site accomodation cabins. At least, we advice this for the first two years. There after, based on security reports and cordiality with host community, parmanent structures can then be built. Some times, it may appear that portacabins are more demanding interms of cost, but in the overrall, it will become better and more economical.
In fact, you appreciate portacabins more when you find out that your total accomodation need is met in a matter of weeks; no LGA building approval, no touts asking for fencing permit, no development fee, no sanitation levy and no unneccessary stop of work and ceasure of shovels and wheelbarrows. These are the usual “whahalas” with block buildings.
A block building cannot be relocated or quickly dismantled but with portacabins, this is easy. Ofcourse, in the swamps and offshore, there are no alternatives, durable portacabins remain the solution.Come to think of it, how do you relocate a bulding standing on a place that is best for a manifold, a well head or access road? Its simply impossible. But with portacabins, this is very easy.In terms of security, the arrangments of portacabins can be mordified to measure up with security needs. Cabins can be arranged into many floors for space managment. They can be designed to have a single access control point. Project offices can be moved to other project sites with ease. In fact, if not need be, cabins can be sold to recover a good percentage of the original investment after a project construction period.
We are involved in taking project site entry challenges off the shoulders of investors to allow them concentrate on other improtant issues. We fabricate portacabins, perimenter fencing, tanks and do civil construction.

BusinessOML Projects In Nigeria by autoprof(op): 6:18pm On Oct 19, 2014
OML PROJECTS IN NIGERIA

OML may stand as the accronym for many slangs but in this subject, it is focused on the oil and gas industries in Nigeria. In this case, it means Oil Minning License which is given to those who want to invest in the oil sector and most porpularly, those buying the oil blocks.
OML projects in Nigeria are all over; especially in the Niger Delta and some offshore related locations. The initiative is highly welcome and expected to bring development and open up other aspects of the economy. If well managed, it should create more employment and improve the economy of the nation. Many multinations are involved in the buying while many Nigerians have come up strong in partnership to secure some viable fields for development.
The various stages and experience of some investors’ include:
1. Those searching for OML.
2. Those researching to avoid scam and fruad stars.
3. Those who have located what they want and sourcing for funds.
4. Some looking for partners and indegeonous company to partner with for local content.
5. Other in the process of buying.
6. Those maping out their entry and site preparations.
7. Buyers who are doing documentations, permits, stardard and compliance steps, etc
8. Some who have gone far; producing and facing the challenges of the teething stages of production.
9. Those who have fallen victims and are trying to survive the tragedy.
10. Few who have started well but are stuck in the middle etc.
11. Some who have bought, developed, are producing and expanding their investments.
Hydrocabon related businesses are not cheap and not simple. They involve alot of expertise, safety enforcements and prudence. OML projects are not to be done without experience. In fact, they require alot of patience and persistence.
Especially in the Niger Delta where uncountable incidences of killings, kidnaps, community violence and financial frauds have being reported, many investors have become very scared to step into this viable opportunity in Nigeria. The truth is that, any thing that has alot of profitting would definitly have alot of challenges and mountains to climb. However, no matter the challenges, for those who fight to the end, there is a gold mine to benefit from.
We have done alot of work for many investors and companies who have gotten involved in OML purchase and projects. Either directly or as part of the local content subcontractors. Some times, just as backups to finding facts, confirming documents, running errands for oversee investors, relating with community youths and chiefs towards peace and also, checking out the intergrity of some business men in the country. Based on experience, we believe we are in a position to advice on some aspects involving or relevant to intergrity, site preparation, logistics, security for visiting personels and fabrications that center on site entry.

Christianity EtcThe Power Of Relationship. by autoprof(op): 4:43pm On Oct 07, 2014
THE POWER OF RELATIONSHIP ... (by austin oarhe)
It is about a big British politician of the 18th century who embarked on a trip to give a talk in Scotland. On his way, his carriage got stuck in a thick mud and all attempts to pull it out proved abortive. In his frustration, a young peasant boy suddenly emerged to help him out. After so much input of effort, the young boy finally got the carriage out from the mud but not without soiling his cloths and injuring a few of his fingers.

To reciprocate this kind gesture, the great politician who was unknown to the young helper offered the boy some money, but he refused to accept a dime. ‘‘After all the effort and waste of your time, you refuse to accept some payment?” The Lad’s answer implied that it is good to help other people whenever they face difficult challenges. In amazement, the politician asked, ‘‘what do you want to be when you grow up?” The lad replied, “I like to become a medical doctor but I figure that this might never be possible”. The politician tried to find out why that desire should not be possible for such an intelligent and promising young man. So he asked, ‘‘why do you think it will not be possible?” The lad immediately replied, ‘‘sir my parents are poor and will not be able to afford the bills’’. The politician was moved with compassion and vowed to assist the young man to achieve his desire. From that day he got committed to the fulfillment of that dream.

Over half a century later, another great politician was at the point of death, plagued by pneumonia; but was delivered from that condition because of a new wonder drug, which had just being discovered. Alexander Fleming- the peasant boy whose dream was made possible by the kind politician many decades earlier discovered the wonder drug, penicillin. And, who was the great politician his discovery delivered from death’s door? It was Winston Churchill, son of the benevolent Sir Randolph Churchill, the same politician who had committed himself to helping the kind hearted lad (Alexander Fleming) achieve his dream.

Fleming’s value for relationship and his willingness to help others sacrificially connected him with a personality that changed his life forever. The relationship that was born from that experience bridged the gap between Fleming’s lack and his dream. Many years later, what Sir Randolph Churchill did as a sacrifice saved his son who would have died at the prime of his life.
God continues to bring people into our lives to deliver us from financial loss, challenges, fraud, wrong investments or to help us achieve destiny. God is deeply committed to getting humanity out of her predicament but man in his usual myopic view, despises relationship but preferring to spend hours inventing initiatives that would bring him breakthroughs instead of simply understanding and apply the principles of positive relationship.
The frustrations and oppressions individuals experience in their lives are as deep as the power of relationships involved. Every human being is a potential milloniar in whatever currency or environment they are. What brings the transition from poverty to wealth is more a function of the capacity and the number of the quality relationships between the millions and those aiming at it especially when they are already prepared for it.
Anywhere at least two people, two animals or organisms co-exist for living or for any particular purpose, a relationship is initiated. Some relationships are initiated for a reason, some for a season while others for destiny. Those for destiny are usually initiated by God and more often than not, we find ourselves in them before realizing how we got into them. They are not based on material things and when they start, they may not appear promising. But beyond selfishness, there always appear to be a binding force keep those involve together despite offenses and provocations.
Relationship may be for some mutual benefits or for some selfish interest. It may be permanent or temporal. However, to obtain the benefits of any relationship, there is a need to nurture and to sustain it from initial contact, through its stress and survival stages to its season of fruit bearing. If relationships must get to full productivity, there are principles that must be complied with otherwise, shipwreck is inevitable.
Most organisations across the world spend a fortune on ‘‘product packaging’’, advertisements and customer/consumer relations. Research reveals that what makes the difference between those who excel and those who don’t has everything to do with people skill; that is, how we establish, manage or motivate our relationships. It is also evident that success in life is about how we market ourselves; how we package ourselves for people to buy, and how we keep our contacts alive and active. If this is true, then success cannot be contemplated without emphasizing the power of inter-personal relationship.
If any salesman presents himself properly, a potential customer would welcome him first and then ask, ‘Who are you?’ ‘Where are you from?’ Or ‘What do you do?’ Before asking ‘What do you sell?’ This is what relationship does. It focuses on people before products. Where this is the approach, even when the product is gone, the friendship continues and such relationship lives to also introduce new customers to our products.
Let me back off a bit and ask you an interesting question.
How far away do you think that your President is from you?
I am sure by now you are already thinking in terms of some measurements on land, air or water. The answer is not in miles or kilometers but in the caliber and number of people you relate with between you and the president. You may not know how to meet the President of your country, the President of America or that chief executive who could give you a life-changing blessing. But, if you can connect with the people in relationship with these distinguished persons, you could meet them by special arrangements. You may not be able to meet God personally for what you want, but if you can connect with Jesus, you can get what you desire from God. This is what the power of relationship can do. The people you see far away that you would wish to meet someday are as close as the number of friends that exist between you and them. With the power of relationship at work, every end can be connected. Therefore, moving far in life is not dependent on distance but on relationship and God’s favor.
Your breakthrough and how fast it takes to close the gap between you, and your blessing is contained in your attitude and commitment to relationships today. You relationship with both God and man. Whatever your status, the principles of relationship are very relevant to the actualization of your legitimate visions and aspirations. Satan and his agents will strive to keep you away from benefits of relationship through distractions and prejudiced mindset. But stick with relationships; it will take you to your promised land.
Benefits of good and active relationships
1. Relationship improves love.
2. Relationship provokes quick intervention and conflicts resolution.
3. With good relationship, you are easily remembereds; recommended and favored.
4. Customers/clients are directed to you.
5. With good relationship, information and dependable counsel is easy to access.
6. Good relationship brings help; burdens are taken off your shoulders.
7. Your are corrected and saved from danger.
8. Relationship will cause you to enjoy waivers.

LiteratureSite Offices & Accommodation For New Projects In Niger Delta by autoprof(op): 3:42pm On Jun 21, 2013
Every project that has a management plan and serious minded engineers ought to start with some site offices. This is not about building ''Batchers'' with wood on one edge of project site. It only makes sense to plan a project to reduce challenges and uncertainties. First aid, safety, toolbox meeting venue, project conference room, muster points, access control board and security plane must be capture. For this reason, doing the first things first still remains the gate way to success in projects. When we place the cart before the horse, we are bound to have challenges.

Sometimes, investors do things without proper planning and later regret their approach. What sense does it make to enter into a new environment for a project construction and start leasing properties all over in the closest towns when such offices can easily be positioned at your contract site? This would give you many advantages such as proximity, visible supervision, cost reduction, prevention of unnecessary construction and allow you to understand and work with the host community better before investing in solid permanent buildings. If a community rejects a project, will the investors transfer solid block buildings?

I had the privilege of setting up site offices for a particular oil and gas company. As the contract progressed, it was discovered based on the quality of hydrocarbon gas in that location that the plant would of a necessity require a gas scrubber. Mean while, some selfish people who were interested in some selfish gains had advised that block building be erected instead of Portacabins and converted shipping containers. At the end, because of the use of Revlyte Portacabins, the units were simply relocated within the vast area of land owned by the oil company.

Just think about it; the digging of foundation, concrete work, block molding and erecting, roofing, ceiling, tiling, plastering, painting, electrical work, payment for labor force and after all these spending of money, the building needs to be destroyed because a new development came up during the project. That would be a colossal loss.

In projects, alterations and modifications are always common. Sometimes, the areas where offices and residential accommodation are located are later found to be inappropriate because some new discoveries had come up. Based on proximity, security, safety and processes, some offices or building may need to move. Some times, something we have not experienced before happens. For example, the Niger Delta flood. In such a case, at the middle of a project, what do you do?

If Portacabins and or converted shipping containers are used, this financial waste and loss of man hour is prevented. The units are simply lifted and relocated. When everything is completely done in terms of process requirements and good relationship with host communities established and proven, then it becomes wise for solid block offices to be built. Am tired of seeing buildings and staff accommodation abandoned at the middle of no where in the bushes. Sometimes, when you calculate, you just wonder what on earth made an investor to waste such millions in ignorance.

Do you have projects in Niger Delta or the Eastern Nigeria? Then buy Portacabins and or converted shipping containers from Revlyte limited to start your projects. Do not waste resources on elaborate buildings in an area that you have no total control over. Send your designs for fabrication to us. Ask us relevant questions. Lets do some investigation on your behalf and advice you appropriately.
Another advantage of using portacabin or container offices is that, when your project is completed, you can redeploy the units or sell them out rightly. Based on community challenges, political instability and necessity of modifications, use Revlyte Portacabins.
