URGENT VACANCIES

We are looking for suitable candidates to fill the vacancies below at our Lekki workshop.

Panel Beater

Requirements and skills
• Assessing the extent of damage to a vehicle and determining the best course of action for repair
• Restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition by removing dents, mending parts, removing rust and repairing scratches
• Straightening damaged panels or creating new ones
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to a high standard
• Proven experience as a Panel Beater
• Possess relevant certification(s)

Auto Electrician

Requirements and skills
• Diagnosing electrical issues and proposing a course of action
• Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems
• Ability to operate electrical diagnostic equipment
• Complex problem-solving skills
• Proven work experience as an auto electrician
• Possess relevant certification(s)

Auto Mechanic

Requirements and skills
• Repairing or replacing worn or damaged parts to support vehicle operation
• Conducting oil, filter and fluid changes and other routine maintenance
• Performing inspections of vehicles to diagnose engine, drivetrain or other issues
• Advising service advisors about additional repair needs or concerns
• Documenting work performed and parts used to support invoicing processes
• Possess relevant certification(s)

Arc Welder

Requirements and skills
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Ability to use arc welding equipment safely
• Ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Knowledge of arc welding techniques
• Possess relevant certification(s)

My point here is simple... Where the government says "Controlled Movement" and "Enforcement" what do they really have in mind? This is not a very smart move. Did the judgement of the Appeal Court in November 2016 expire? Or was there another judgment from a higher court setting aside the judgment of the Appeal Court? If the answers are "No", then another illegality is about to be forced down the throat of Lagos residents. This is not to say I am against having a clean environment, what I am against is the waste of productive hours in the name of keeping a city clean in an economy people are barely trying to get by. I'm sure the custodians of citizens rights will not allow it go unchallenged so let us wait for what comes after!

The caption is actually misleading, from the date on the top right of the CCTV screen, this incident was recorded on the 22nd of May 2025 and not on New year day . . .Hope the security agencies were able to round them up.

A similar scenario played out early Wednesday morning (Sept. 24), I had just dropped off my guest who was to catch the early morning flight to Enugu at MM1 Lagos and was headed back home at about 5:30am, saw this uniformed soldier flagging me down along the lonely and dark Airport road as at 5:30am, I accelerated pass the scene make we no do good come see bad! undecided
