I have used my MTN line for 8years and I have never gotten anything from MTN Nigeria. Early in February 2010, I got a call from MTN saying I had won A Samsung F Series phone. They requested my full name, location, house address everything then told me they will reach me from their nearest Center.

By March, I had not heard from them so I went to the MTN Service Center in Asaba (the one nearest to me). The queue was daunting but after hours of patience I met a staff. She said she knew nothing about it.

In April, I came back again, I met a start who collected my phone number and all the necessary details. She said all the promo gifts where in Enugu and she will get back to me. I never heard from her.

A third visit yielded no result as well. In August I called 180 and they referred me to the nearest Service Center again.

October 13, I called 180 again at about 11pm. The lady said she was Elizabeth and said she was going to verify. I held on for 49minutes and 15 seconds till the line dropped. I called again at a few minutes to 1am. Sarah referred me to the nearest Service Center.

October 14, determined to get my Samsung phone, I was at the service center by 7:50am. I finally got audience at about 9am. After insisting that I was not leaving till I get my phone. The attendant Sylvester, started making calls inquiring. He called Mr. Okechukwu in Enugu, who said January was a long time ago and the will have to check his list. Apparently, Asaba Center did not have a list.

By 2pm, I returned to follow-up on Okechukwu and was told that my name was not on the list! the Supervisor suggested we go to Enugu or Lagos or book an appointment to see the manager. In all  I had been to that Center about 6 times just for my phone!
