do you know the maximum transaction one can do?

I don't think it is capped but it's safer to do less than 10BTC ($60,000) at a time so as to avoid issues with AML (anti-money laundering laws).

You can also consider CEX.io for buying the Bitcoin with FX cos Bitpesa and Bitx only deal in Naira/BTC and vice versa.

These rates are always changing though as Bitcoin prices are usually very volatile (though stable for some days now)

i usually use world remit but got an email that they have suspended service last week. i personally cannot send money to anyone i don't know or trust. i wish there is another alternative to western union they are just a rip off.

You should try asking the person to buy Bitcoin and send to you. You can sell them on Bitpesa and get your Naira in your bank account within minutes close to black market rates.

This has been the best alternative for me for months now. WU wont give you the FX anyways

Yes o today o. I shock and I dey monitor my account to be sure they are true to their words.

Stanbic put my money on hold and asked me to bring evidence that the transaction didnt go through so they can unfreeze my money. I change am for them and they have promised to refund in the next 24 hours.

Them want trouble and it seems na all of them dey do the nonsense now.
