Hi First step is to calculate ur score via the crs tool. Use this link: https://ircc.canada.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp Second step is to take the IELTS Exam and make sure u get a minimum of Listening: 8; Reading: 7; Writing: 7; Speaking 7.5 (i will advise you to aim higher, cos the higher ur IELTS test, the higher ur points for language) Third step is to get ur highest degree evaluated via WES (preferably masters). You can do this while preparing for ur IELTS exam. The link to WES Canada is https://applications.wes.org/createaccount Your University will be the one to upload your results via WES. So u shouldn't bother yourself. It is only wen u start the process that u understand it Fourth step is to create an express entry profile and enter the pool with the NOC of your choice. The link to registering of an account via canada immigration website is https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html Nomination via PNP is only applicable to u if u av a sibling residing in that particular province for over a year and that province offers sibling nomination. Provinces like Alberta, Manitoba & Saskatchewan offer sibling nomination but you need to go to their various websites for further research. You can explore the ongoing category draws. There are six categories which are: STEM (this is applicable to u), Agriculture, Transportation, French, Trade and Healthcare. You just need to have had work experience in the last three years for either of these categories and enter the pool with their NOC (For example if you have worked as a Transportation manager in the last 3yrs, u can go into the pool with NOC number 70020 for work experience and make sure that you can get a reference letter/payslip to backup ur claim after u av received an ITA) You can use this link to track all the draws done and their last CRS score and compare with yours, so you know where you stand, or which category draw to go for. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html#wb-auto-4 There is no telling on when you will get an ITA or the exact timeframe to get ur PR afrer ITA cos Canada is not predictable. So instead of worrying about all that, start with baby steps by getting ur WES/IELTS and entering the pool. Leave the rest to God. There is going to be an announcement next month on the various categories/number of people Canada wants to welcome next year. So u can be preparing for ur IELTS while you await the new update bigjooe: |

Provinces like Alberta, Manitoba & Saskatchewan offer sibling nomination but you need to go to their various websites for further research. You can explore the ongoing category draws and see if it is something u or ur friend can work with. There are five categories which are: STEM, Agriculture, Transportation, French and Trade. Hi As i said previously get a reference letter from either of the two category draws(i.e Agriculture or Transport), go into the pool with their NOC and lastly wait. Ladygracy: |
Yea they really are. Hoping they do a transport draw soon too.🙏 aurorae1: |
Congratulations to those in the french category🥳🤗

I saw it too ooh. God will help those of us still expecting one category draw or another. Please, no one should give up ooh. We are all in this together.🙏 Predator188: |
Goodevening to u too, When u create an express entry profile, and later on u decide to make some adjustments, for example maybe you took a second IELTS test and decide to update ur scores by imputing ur new scores obtained, after changing the scores, there will be two options outlined to choose from. One will be to save & exit while the other will be to continue, after which you need to impute your name as signature and submit. The essence of this, is more like a declaration that you are the one making changes to ur profile. So my mistake then was that i saved and exited instead of to sign and submit. So when u save and exit ur application will be in PENDING instead of SUBMITTED. So even if they do draw and u qualify u won't be picked cos of ur pending profile. SurvTessy: |
Hi That is a smart move. So, yes you can try that. eniola1010: |

You can do this while preparing for ur IELTS exam. Fourth step is to create an express entry profile and enter the pool with the NOC for software developers. You are lucky that you qualify under STEM. It's part of the ongoing category draw announced last year. However, u av to calculate ur points to be sure u meet the last cutoff. You can also use this link to check the cuttoff of all draws done for stem and also the occupations that fall under STEM. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html#wb-auto-4 Some provinces like Ontario and British Colombia also conducts draws for tech, so try and get ur WES/IELTS and enter the pool without delay. oluwaseyi0: |
Heya, Ooh ok. 470 isn't bad for the category draws, especially in respect to transport and Agriculture.. If you've not worked in either of the sectors or not able to get references from both, you shouldn't give up. Just stay in the pool. Maybe in the coming months, new categories will be introduced. I heard they might introduce some soon, not sure when. Canada is really unpredictable so don't give up. Funky123: |
Heya, Yea, you will get an email stating that you have a message and you should log into your profile. But I've read some cases here when people didn't get emails but got their ITAs when they logged into their express entry profile. So to be on the safe side, always check ur profile just to be sure instead of waiting for an email. Iamblessed85: |
Hi Dear, Not trying to discourage you but I'm not sure you will get any nomination with the sales manager role/administrative assistant if u do not 1. Have a sibling residing in a province that does sibling nomination (eg if u av a sibling that has lived in manitoba for over a yr). He or she can nominate you, which gives u an extra 600 points. 2. You might even qualify for the general draw if age is on ur side, ie. If u are under under 30, and have a sibling as a permanent residency holder and also have masters and french with perfect IELTS score. Then ur NOC shouldn't be an issue (i.e sales manger or administrative assistant will be ok) If both options don't fit ur profile, you might consider going through the trending category draw that canada launched last year (I'm referring to Stem, Agriculture, Transportation, French and Health Care. Try and see if either of the five is workable for you. Funky123: |
Yes please. That is what i would av done. Bibitayo2: |
This is just my thought though. I might be wrong. Personally, i think it's best you stick with one NOC, especially if you av 3 or more years of work experience with that NOC and if the NOC aligns with the ongoing category draw (for example if uv had experience as working as an admin rep & transportation manager, Instead of using the NOC for Admin, use that of transportation). Just to be safe though. But make sure uv had enough experience up untill the draw was introduced in 2023. You can add your other work experience after you've gotten an ITA. Bibitayo2: |
Congratulations to those that got french🥳
|
Please, transmit ooh. I made that same mistake in March, i forgot to transmit/sign. My application was still in pending when they did the transport draw. That was how i missed it. zeb04: |
