Someone told me our politicians ideologies are stomach infrastructure and money and more money.

This is the question I have been asking myself whenever I see politicians defecting from one political party to another.
During the First Republic,political parties were established based on different ideologies,the Northern Peoples Party (NPC) was Ultra-Conservative,but the Action Group (AG) National Council of Nigerian Citizens(NCNC) were more liberal.
Same thing goes for the Second Republic,NPN,UPN,NPP,GNPP,PRP and so on were run based on ideologies, that's why it was very hard to see rampant defections like these days.
In the US,the Republicans are conservative while the Democrats were more liberals.
In UK, the Conservative Party were living up to their name, they uphold the tradition while the Labour Party was more open to changes, and the British National Party's ideology is the interest of the British nationals first and strict policies on immigration.
But here our political parties have no clear cut ideologies to guide them.
Please I will like the more enlightened nairalanders to enlighten me more.
