Launched my AI agent today. It runs entirely on WhatsApp and Telegram - no website, no app, no signup. You message it and it does the task.

Why WhatsApp and not a web app: conversion. Every product I have built before lost people at the signup screen. Here there is no signup. The user is already inside WhatsApp, so the first interaction is zero friction.

What it does: research, documents, browser tasks, bookings, reminders, scheduled jobs. You talk to it like a person.

What surprised me: the hardest part was not the AI. It was making sure one user's session cannot see another user's files. That is the part nobody warns you about when you start giving an agent real execution power.

So far 34 active conversations in the first days. Small, but they are real people doing real tasks, not signups that never came back.

If you are building for Nigerian users, my one takeaway: meet them where they already are. The app store is not the distribution channel here. WhatsApp is.
