*FREE FEED FORMULATION FOR CHRISTMAS BROILER, way to Reduce the cost of production and making good profit*

It is very disheartened when the cost of broiler rise to 400+, and the cost of the feed is also high, these have caused a great increase in the cost of producing broiler.

The only solution is to learn how to formulate your feed

It is not new again that the cost of feed carry a big percentage in poultry production which is about 70-75 percent, The high cost of feed as been the major setback and drastically increase the cost of production. *If your feed is superb and management, you spend less in Drugs and Vaccines*

To reduce the cost of production, we need to play around the feed I. E, formulate a good feed for the birds.

The type of feed given to animal, will determine the product gotten from your bird. (Garbage in, garbage out)

Animal nutrition, which is a common area of concentration for animal scientists, focuses on the dietary needs of domesticated animals, primarily those in agriculture and food production. Improved animal nutrition can increase the quality of livestock production, which can lead to producing higher quality meat, healthier eggs and *also reduce the cost of production*.

I will release the formulas but you need good feedmill and quality raw materials.

Due to the high cost of DOC and cost of feeding, Most farmer are just working without making profit, hence, we need to find solution to this problem.
The only way we can help the farmers is to teach them how to make their feed and use Phytogenics for their livestocks; this will eventually reduce the cost of production...

*HOW TO START BROILER AND LAYERS PRODUCTION FROM SCRATCH*

To start poultry production is very easy but there are many factors to consider before you venture in to the business. Without the knowledge it might be difficult to start,if the foundation is faulty the building will eventually collapse :
*HOW TO CALCULATE THE LAND AREA FOR BIRDS:*
FOR EXAMPLE: 1 PLOT IS 120 FEET BY 60 FEET, the type of birds will determine what the land will accommodate conveniently.
120 feet by 60 feet = 7200 square feet., convert it to meter which is 648square meter.
One broiler require 1.5 sqft, which is 4800 birds mind you we have consider space for feeders and drinkers.
*Don't ever use 60ft, It have reasons*, is just example
For Layers 1 sqft is convenient enough from day old to point of lay, which is 7200 birds, but we need to consider the feeders and drinkers, we need to reduce the quantity of birds to give room for the equipment.
*HOW TO CALCULATE THE EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR BROILER*
100 BIRDS require 5 drinkers and feeders i.e 1 feeder to 20 feeders and drinkers
FOR 4200/20 u recquire 100-120 feeders and drinkers pieces.
*FEEDING AND FEED PROGRAMME FOR BROILER AND LAYERS*
One broiler starter - require 2kg of broiler starter
One broiler Finisher – require 2.75kg of broiler finisher
FOR 100 BIRDS = 2kg x 100 = 200kg = 8 bags
2.75 x 100 = 275kg =11 bags .
*FOR LAYERS = 1 LAYER RECQUIRE*

Week 1 - 11 gram for 7days

Week 2- 17 gram for 7 days

Week 3- 25 gram for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 200- 210 gram)

Week 4- 33 gram for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 285-300gram)

Week 5- 39 gram for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 380-400 gram).

Week 6- 44 gram/day for 7 days ( Expected weight of chick 470- 500gram)

Week 7- 48 gram /day for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 560- 600gram)

Week 8 - 52 gram / day for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 650- 690 gram)

Week 9- 56 gram /day for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 740- 780 gram)

Week 10- 60 gram / day for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 830- 870 gram)

Week 11- 65 gram / day for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 920- 960 gram)

Week 12- 68 gram/ day for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 1010- 1050 gram).

Week 13 - 71 gram / day for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 1100- 1140 gram).

Week 14 - 74 gram / day for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 1185- 1230gram)

Week 15 - 77 gram/ day for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 1270- 1320gram).

Week 16 - 80 gram / day for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 1355-1410 gram).

Week 17 - 83 gram / day for 7 days (Expected weight of chick 1140- 1500 gram).
To achieve this weight, u need to formulate feed for your birds to meet the target weight or buy quality Feed for your layers.

*REARING OF DAY OLD CHILCKS IN CAGE BETTER THAN DEEP LITTER*

A recent study has revealed that about 75% of the farms are inefficient around the world. Nigerian commercial layer poultry population is about 60mill. And national average Hen Housed egg production is about 260 eggs/bird against the Bird potency of 360 eggs. The difference is 100 eggs (3.3crates) per bird. This is equivalent to 198 mill crates (118 billion Naira) annual loss.
560 days = 360 eggs

One way to reduce the cost of egg production is to improve the efficiency of layers by increased egg production. Cage system of brooding and rearing is one such step towards this goal. With combination of right equipment, right day old chicks and right feed, it is very much possible to tap the full potential of the layer.

Mostly see the company blindness is the reason for the inefficient egg production, What is needed is the open mind to changes, changes which are heavily needed in our sector so to reduce cost of production and reduce the need for raw material.
The foundation for the best laying performance is laid in proper brooding and rearing of pullets.
