Every day, we eat fruits like oranges, bananas, mangoes, pawpaw, watermelon, and pineapple, but many of us don't know much about them beyond their names.

For example:

Which fruit contains the most Vitamin C?
What's the scientific name of pawpaw?
Why do some fruits have different local names across Nigeria?
What nutrients are you actually getting from the fruits you eat?

Out of curiosity and my love for technology, I decided to build something to make learning about fruits easier.

I created Gnosis AI, an AI-powered fruit identification app. Simply snap or upload a picture of a fruit, and the app identifies it and provides useful information, including:
✅ Nutritional value
✅ Health benefits
✅ Scientific name and classification
✅ Local names
✅ Interesting facts about the fruit

The goal isn't just to identify fruits—it's to help people make more informed choices and learn something new every day.

I'd really appreciate it if you could try the app and let me know what you think. Your suggestions and criticism are welcome because I'm actively improving it.

Thank you! 🇳🇬

I recently built and published Gnosis AI – Fruit Doctor on the Play Store.

It uses AI to detect fruits from your camera or gallery and provides personalised fruit recommendations based on your health goals.

Still improving it, but it’s live:
