I think it's Latin American culture to be polite and keep your potentials updated. As for the African acquisition team I have nothing positive to say. The above message probably applies to African countries as well but because of incompetence and ineptitude, you'll never know...
yes i guess you're right about that...

Hey Guys,

I applied for Graduate Engineering Position late November'14, after 2 weeks they invited me for online interview at Hirevue. I applied for Hirevue on Monday and on Tuesday they sent me a feedback e-mail telling me that I have succeed. Yet on Tuesday a Latin America Recruiter sent me an e-mail asking for a phone interview (almost the same questions as Hirevue interview) and for applying to Belit English Test. After two days they sent me an e-mail telling me that I succeed on both and I would hear about Baker Hughes Experience on 2015.

On early January'15 they sent me another email greeting me for I have succeed all the tests and I was selected for BHE that it would be on February 25th and 26th.

But three weeks ago they sent me an e-mail that the content I'm going to past right above:

"Dear candidate;
Due to the current situation that the world is passing through due to the oil low prices, we are now in the need of putting on stand by our recruiting process by now.
It’s important to mention that we are firmly expecting that eventually the oil price is going to recover and we will continue with our recruiting process and the usual activities that it involves.
We want to be clear about the current situation with you as integrity is one of our core values.
You will receive further notice about the process by email.
Thank you so much.
Talent Acquisition Team Latin America."

So, I'm not happy with all this situation at all but I'm still positive about all of this.
is there someone who was in this Brazilian process like me??

I hope you all succeed in your wishes,

Greetings from Brazil,
do you think it's just in latin america or in the whole world they are postponing the recruitment?
it's a bit confusing because they are posting new job openings everyday on the website even for the graduates.
and good luck to you i hope you make it.

My status changed from " Application under review" to " Interview in progress" after two months. As long as there is no decline I will always stay positive smiley

Hi all! I applied a little over 4 months ago and last i heard from them was regarding my english test couple of days ago. Considering I am from a non-English speaking country, I sat the assigned test within the 5 day frame.

Having passed it, i have yet to hear back from them regarding BHE. From scrolling thru most posts in glassdoor, whirlpool au and ofcourse Nairaland, I feel that the process will take a bit more time than one would hope for. Therefore, my sincere advice is that: Don't lose hope and if any of us make it, it'd be pretty cool to make connections with future BH employees from around the globe! In the mean time, look at other prospects or temporary engagements.

if any of you hear back from BH, please keep this part of the forum alive.

Regards,
Ice1990
where are you from ?
