Business / Re: Which Bank Has The Most Reliable Atm Machine? by ayobambi: 7:23pm On Dec 27, 2013
Ecobank all the way.

Guess most of you have not Tried Ecobank ATMs in recent times.
You can be very sure of uninterrupted service any day, anytime.
Their ATM cards can also be used outside Nigeria.

Hi @Sincere 9geria. In as much as I would want contest your advert to each of the points raised. They say "seeing is believing".
You seemed to be the only one seeing all these remarkable achievements of the GEJ administration.
Even Lagos that is referred as a mega city is not feeling the impact of the Presidency. All you could tell are areas that cannot be easily verified.
On the power project, it's been like four months now since PHCN came to erect poles at Ita-Oluwa axis in Ikorodu. No cable and transformer laid on them. The power meant for people's use have been diverted to the companies around (PZ and co.). we can not boste of 30hrs power supply per week.
Concerning the road project. I want to assume that Nigeria Govt. had an.oversight of Ilorodu-Shagamu road, Ikorodu-Ijebu Ode road and many more.
FERMA have been construct a gutter by the valley close to Lagos State Polytechnic now for over four months using manual labour (some mallams with wheel barrow instead of the conventional machineries. These has caused a lot of havoc around there and the rains is almost setting in.
I'm so sorry to say that as much convincing as your write up is, the evidences I've been seeing says otherwise.

Business / Re: Why Do Businesses Fail In Nigeria? by ayobambi: 3:38pm On Nov 19, 2012
Mad Cow: .1. Poor Planning... - Many people stumble upon X amount of money and quickily rush into the closest business they can see around them without planning and carrying out the proper ground work..

2. Follow-Follow : Because Peter made it selling recharge cards, is no guarantee that Paul will also make it selling the same comodity. Dont get into a business solely because another man is doing same.

3. Multiple Taxation: How can One business pay the following Levies, Duties and Taxes;
- Environmental Sanitation Levy
- Personal Income Tax
- Value Added Tax
- Union Levy
- Local Government Tax
- Signboard Levy
- NAFDAC Levy (if you are in the food and drugs/chemical business)
e.t.c

One business can be paying as much as 10 different fees to 10 different government and Union bodies..

@Mad Cow!
I very much agree with you Bro.

In addition to points above, power/electricity has also been a major contributor to the death of a lot of businesses. By the time you look at the running cost of a business, you would find out that Fueling and generator maintenance is forms about 80% of your running cost.

Even the so called Manufacturing Industries lay-off their staff with excuses of cost of fueling there power plants for manufacturing.

Secondly, business owners don't run analysis of their spendings (running cost) in comparison with their income/profit and before they realise what is going on, the business would have shrunk.

Career / Re: Is It Wrong To Help Your Boss With His Or Her Bag? by ayobambi: 6:51pm On Sep 13, 2012
In my own opinion, you can choose to help your boss with his/her bag depending on which angle you look at it. it is optional.

If your boss is old enough to be your elder brother/sister or uncle/aunt and as an African, you decide to help with his/her bag and he/she agrees to it (as some boss will not allow such), then fine (go ahead).

The only exception here is if you have a female boss, it is not right for a man to help the female boss with her hand bag, as it's un-ethical. The hand bag is part of their (female) dressing.
