Music/RadioRe: Kendrick Lamar Or J.cole?: Who Is The Leader Of New School Rap? by ayodeji013: 3:05pm On Dec 13, 2016
PigMeat:
I was listening to this debate and comments from nigerians in "hot fm abuja" when the issue of WHO IS THE LEADER OF NEW SCHOOL RAP was raised, I was amaized by some persons comments on the topic, like someone said j.cole is 10 steps ahead of lamar, which I think such comments was borne of sentiment from a j.cole's supporter.

I have decided to introduce this debate here on nairaland for lovers of new school to, without bias tell us who he or she feels is the leader of new school rap, and why he or she feels so. Feel free to choose others like drake, wale, pusha t, andre, immortal, 2chanz, french montana, big seun, meek mill, etc.
Lovely convo.... here's my two cents
In as much as I love J.Cole, I still think Kendrick is better.... K.Dot words are deeper and harder to understand. What he does is more difficult - he has made two concept albums( Good kid,mad city and To love-vendor A Butterfly)..... he also has better production.
Yes, J.Cole is probably more relatable and produces his albums by himself but that to me is one of his weaknesses.... he needs to work with other producers to improve the quality of his sound - now some might argue to the contrary......
In summary,
In Hip Hop, what matters most is the lyrics and lyrically, Kendrick is better.
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by ayodeji013: 9:49pm On Nov 01, 2016
malkinburg:
Hi all, i am glad to finally make this post. The migration journey for me just ended. God has been EXTREMELY gracious to me. landing in this country with a little less than 1000 dollars in February last year, i have successfully graduated in my masters program, obtained a professional job as an environmental consultant while still on bridging visa, and achieved what i couldn't achieve in Nigeria in 5 years all within a stretch of 20 months. i am grateful to the guidance of so many people on this thread. ie Zenkel who showed me how to arrive australia through malaysia on a shoe string budget of 150k, Boss jennakry who enlightened me on opportunities i never knew existed and others who helped and encouraged me on the journey. i will settle down and summarize some important key information yet to be shared on this forum that will help enable new arrivals find a professional job, and also 476 visa holders looking for extra 5 points on what to do to dodge the english bedrock while drilling through to permanent residence. i will also like to encourage others going through a lot of pain and doubting their decisions especially those who came via school route with their partners, it can only get better, don't loose hope. stay focused, the light awaits you at the end of the tunnel.

Congrats...your story is quite encouraging. I do need help with a couple of questions and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
i have the 476 temporary visa but i'm a bit curious on how realistic it would be to get a good job (i have a BSc in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Offshore Pipeline Engineering but with little experience) with this visa class if i choose to relocate to Australia. Also, what are the chances to getting a PR with this visa class if i choose to relocate. I just need advice from fellow nairalanders who are more experienced, would it be reasonable to travel to Australia through this visa class?. Thanks

dear nairalanders, i have obtained a CAS from my uni.on my CAS(documents used to process admission section),my academic transcript is the only document listed. Now here's my issue: i only have a photocopy of my academic transcript which i scanned to the university.Nigerian schools are on strike and it"s impossible to get an original from them at the moment.I called BHC abuja yesterday for advice and the lady i spoke with suggested that i submit the photocopy with a letter attached explaining my reasons(for visa application) because of limited time.Is this a good suggestion?or are there better alternatives.thanks NOTE:i have applied for my university certificate too and it's taking forever to get it so all i have is my statement of result and the academic transcript photocopy.
