A lecturer at the Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilese Ijebu, Dr Oluseyi Adu, and a Dental Nursing student, Mosunmola, are embroiled in a row over who is responsible for the pregnancy that the nursing student is carrying.

Mosunmola, who is nine months pregnant, alleged that Adu was responsible for the child in her womb, adding that they had sex in a hotel sometime in August, 2016

She said the lecturer beat her up last month when she confronted him at the college for avoiding her, adding that the case was already at the Ilese Police Station.

However, while Adu admitted to having sex with the 28-year-old, he insisted that he used contraceptive, saying the lady seduced him and he gave in to the temptation.

Mosunmola told our correspondent that she underwent a three-year course at the college, adding that several lecturers had asked her out before Adu, but she refused.

She said, “Dr Adu is the Oral Health Coordinator for the college. During my three years study, he taught me two courses each semester. I have never failed his course.

“When I got to second semester, 300 level, he awarded me 38 in one of his courses. I went to his office in August 2016 to know why I failed the course. I needed to pass all my courses to be able to go for my board exam.

“He asked me if I thought I could just come to the school and go like that. He said if I dated him, he would waive the course. He said he didn’t approach me in 100 level because another lecturer was interested in dating me.

“The lecturer he mentioned told me in 100 level that it was either I paid him money or used my body to pass his course. Because I didn’t agree, I failed his course. I didn’t pass it until I got to 300 level.

“I told Adu that I would date him, but I didn’t want to have any problem, and he assured me that there would be no regret.”

The victim said the lecturer took her to the office of the Head of Department and after some discussions, it was agreed that she could sit for the board exam.

After the board exam at POGIL College of Health Technology, Oke-Eri, Ijebu Ode, on August 21, Adu, who was among those on the panel, was said to have given Mosunmola some of his practical instruments and a laptop for safekeeping.

However, Mosunmola said when the school bus arrived to take the students back to the school, she forgot to give the practical instruments back to the lecturer.

She said Adu later called and asked her to bring the instruments to a hotel where he lodged.

“I was preparing to leave when he called me back that I would be sleeping over with him.

“I met him with another lecturer in my department. I observed that the lecturer also had a female student with him. From the hotel, we went to different places before we finally lodged in another hotel along Ilese Road. While I was with Adu in a room, my other classmate passed the night with the second lecturer in another room.

“We had three rounds of sex. He didn’t release on time. He used two condoms for the first two rounds. The third round was, however, flesh-to-flesh. That was when he ejaculated inside me,” she explained.

She said the lecturer dropped her off at home and they continued their relationship, until she stopped seeing her menstruation a few weeks later.

The Ogun State indigene said she became worried after she started vomiting, adding that she took a pregnancy test, which was positive.

She said when Adu heard the news, he reluctantly accepted responsibility, but allegedly gave her a drug, Eprostol, to abort the pregnancy.

She said, “I refused to take the drug because the prescription was not from a medical doctor. He came down to my place to persuade me to take the drug, but I still refused. He asked me what I wanted and I told him that I needed to change my accommodation because the pregnancy was a shameful thing for me. He told me not to worry, that he would handle it. After that, we had sex.

Serious crisis has engulfed the Great Overcomers Ministry Church in Abaranje, Ikotun, a Lagos suburb over an allegation of adultery and rape levied against one of the church pastors.

P M.EXPRESS gathered that the alleged sex scandal has put the entire congregation in disarray as some members have left in annoyance because the church’s General Overseer, a female was in the thick of the whole scandal.

It was gathered that a former assistant pastor in the church, Okwudili Ozor was accused of allegedly sleeping both with the General Overseer, Prophetess Gloria Udeh and her 15-year old daughter, an act which has landed him in prison.

Trouble started when Prophetess Udeh accused Ozor of forcefully having a carnal knowledge of her teenage daughter in January.

She reported the matter to the Police at Area M Command in Idimu, Lagos who arrested and detained for nine days before he was taken to court but luckily, the court did not sat on that day.

He was later released by the Police. But in a twist, a team of Policemen from Idimu Police Station early Tuesday morning invaded Ozor’s house in Ikotun, Lagos, arrested and charged him before Ogba Magistrates’ Court for raping Gloria’s 15-year old daughter.

The Court’s Chief Magistrate, Mrs Davis Abegunde granted him bail but remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

But this latest arrest and the remand of Ozor has led to the opening of a can of worms.

The suspect denied ever sleeping with the teenage girl as alleged by the Prophetess, but instead he admitted he has had affairs with the woman who felt heartbroken that he dumped her for another woman.

According to him, the woman has been married for some years and had four children before she separated from her husband.

He said when he joined her church; the prophetess made him her assistant and asked him to marry her so that they can build the church together.

Ozor said he declined the proposal but told her he already had a woman in his village he wanted to marry and this did not go down well with her.

“She tried to pressure me to change my marriage plans but I refused. I later went ahead to marry my wife in 2015 and that’s when the trouble started,” he said.

The suspect claimed that after he was arrested in January but later released, the prophetess demanded that he should pay her N500,000 before she would withdraw the matter from the police.

He said he pleaded that he had no such amount to give her and she reduced it to N200,000, yet he could not raise the money and that’s when she decided to use her influences to deal with him.

When P.M.EXPRESS contacted Prophetess Gloria, she denied the claim that she was sleeping with Ozor. According to her, the case she reported to the police was that of sexual assault on her daughter.

She claimed Ozor and his relations have been pleading for her to forgive him which she gave him condition which he had accepted.

Gloria said he was only angry with Udeh, who he accused of denting her image and that of her church following his allegations that they were sleeping together which had made some members to leave the church.

On why it took her two years before she reported the sexual assault matter to the police, she declined to speak further and walked away.

"What really happened on that day , we don't know yet but I am sure Taiwo did not elope with another man, she is a good and devoted Christian, she has a good Christian background, her father is a founder of a church, she is not a wayward girl.”

Sapele—The gunmen that kidnapped Mrs Oghenekevwe Odebala last week in Sapele, Delta State, are reportedly demanding for N10 million. The Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Ejaife Odebala, elder brother to the victim’s husband is, however, calling for her unconditional release. Mrs Oghenekevwe Odebalor, was, last Wednesday night, kidnapped by unidentified gunmen, while driving home from a friend’s house around Kingsley Esiso Road in Sapele. The gunmen shot repeatedly into the air before dragging her out of her SUV into their car. The Sapele council boss said: “Apart from the trauma this is bringing to the family, the kidnappers must free my brother’s wife and let her come safely home. “This is the fourth time we are experiencing this in the family; it is not a palatable experience. They should let her go back to her husband safely.” Odebala, who also expressed concern over the upsurge in kidnapping in the area, said: “I am doing everything possible to get on top of the situation. I am the chief security officer and I am working with other security chiefs here to make Sapele crime free.” He, however, debunked the rumour making the round that it was his wife that was kidnapped. “It is not my wife, but my younger brother’s wife,” he said. Meanwhile, a police source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the police are doing everything to resolve the case. “I can assure you that we are working round the clock on this issue,” he added.

Kidnappers have freed a 41-year-old housewife, Mrs. Ronke Solaja, who was abducted last Thursday from her home at Oshin Tek Estate, Ojuoro, Owutu, Ikorodu area of Lagos State. A source said Solaja was freed about 7.30 p.m. on Sunday on Isawolo- Ajegunle axis.

The woman was abducted by four armed men while watching film with her children in her living room. Although no specific amount paid the kidnappers was disclosed, the abductors had asked for N30 million, while the family as at Sunday afternoon was pleading to pay N120,000. It was learnt that the amount had angered the abductors who threatened to kill Solaja.

Meanwhile, residents have pleaded with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State to help them dredge water channel from Majidun creek down to Asolo. “We need the waterway dredged such that Navy and Marine Police can patrol. They only stop at Majidun, because of lack of access to the rest of the canal owing to blockage. We shall march to the Governor’s Office tomorrow to make the request,” a resident said.

There is admin staff at the records unit of the hospital that gives cards to patients that are brought into the hospital at night.It is a shift duty.People that give cards are present in every public hospitals in Nigeria.
