In addition to what Gazzuz has suggested, you mentioned something very important. You said "the coolant level in the radiator is okay but THE LEVEL OF COOLANT IN THE RESERVOIR GOES DOWN'.

Since there is no leak in the circuit, this tells me that your radiator was (most likely) recently drained of coolant, but was not refilled with adequate coolant. That is why your engine temperature rises and the level of coolant in your reservoir goes down after a drive. If this were to be the case, you may also observe air bubbling in your coolant reservoir actively, whilst your car idles.

My advice: Keep topping your reservoir with coolant to the 'maximum' line after every drive until there is no further drop in coolant level. At this point, your cooling system has taken/ sucked in sufficient coolant to keep it functioning optimally. You should not experience overheating anymore when you switch on your A/C.

Note: Even without A/C, if you drive the car long enough, the engine will overheat IF what I am suspecting were to be the case.

ii) pls, never open the radiator immediately after a drive. You must wait till the engine is cool. However, it is safe to open the reservoir after a drive.

Reflect on this also and act appropriately Sir.

thanks so much nas00, very thoughtful analysis . I have been topping the coolant in the reservoir but usually not up to max between the min and max but keep dropping. you are right when you say if i drive enough even witout the ac the engine will heat up, I ve noticed that too. I ve not been using the ac for fear of overheating. I ll do that n see what happens, though mechanic says I should change the radiator to double cell which I don't agree for now.

Straight to the H point? Or inbetween H and C? Check cooling fans, ensure both spin at same time when AC is turned on, also ensure condenser and radiator are not clogged with dirt, if they are take it to a carwash and ask them to use the water gun to flush the radiator (600naira)

Hello house I need help on my recently bought 04 accord. I noticed that the temperature gauge always rise towards the Hot ( H ) whenever am using the ac, but no overheating when the a.c is off. The coolant level in the radiator is okay but the level of coolant in the reservoir goes down. I have checked the radiator no leak and the radiator cover is okay too. What can be the issue? pls I need urgent advice

[b]As you have been advised already ,I'll prefer you attack it with dual actions .......yourself and Wifey.As a medical practitioner with mbbs degree certificate,you can be sure your ECA won't be completed this year as the minimum completion timing i have witnessed is about 5 months as you have to first do the source verification of your certificate first before ECA evaluation.Source verification alone may take almost 4 months.......ECA evaluation after source verification will take between 4 to 8 weeks depending on tons of request that they have.
Nursing profession follows same standard duration for ECA evaluation as other professions depending on how you can actively or passively speed it up with respect to verification......between 6weeks and 12 weeks will do......that's the average from my experience.
My advice........if you can afford it,initiate ECA evaluation for yourself and Wifey.Both of you should write IELTS in the capacity and seriousness of a principal applicant in other not to be disappointed by your scores .
Wifey process may be faster than yours as you may have to settle for her as the principal applicant but the source verification of your mbbs degree certificate makes you ready for Canadian job in your field as your details is already registered with medical council of Canada and you won't have to do it again.
The choice is yours based on financial resources at your disposal.........evaluation of your mbbs may cost around 80k or thereabouts while Wifey may be around 48k thereabouts .

Other than the application cost (IELTS, ECA,application fee,etc), you stand to benefit more if both of you apply at the same time. If at anytime during the process,you find that you stand a better chance than your spouse or vice versa (in terms of the time and resources) ,you can ask her to drop her application while you proceed with yours.

It is true that Medical Doctors have a long way to go in terms of securing an ECA result for obvious reasons. The medical profession is not one that anybody can dabble into especially coming from a "3rd world country" as Nigeria. There are lot of hurdle to scale through and considering the fact that it takes an average 105 days **to process an ECA under the profession unlike the average 30 days** for other eligible occupations including Nursing.
