Technology MarketRe: Unreliable Cyberpower Inverters by ayoman: 1:07am On Oct 10, 2013
that is the stock in trade of pragmatic technologies, the distributors of cyberpower inverter.my 5kva inverter blew up and bursted ionto flames just 6 months of use, till today pragmatic technologies has refused to honor the 1 year warranty and rather are demanding for 40,000 naira to repair a inverter they claim to be under warranty.the crass dishonesty of this company beggars belief.when u buy their inverter,u are on your ownm

digi101: Well lets hope they do the right thing and help fix it. I guess one of the reason they must be antagonistic is that you by passed the installation fee grin.
Anyway from the damage done to both inverters i would think they are being overloaded. However if that's the case i should expect the 3.5kva version to be sophisticated enough to shutdown intelligently without any damage to the system until the overload position is rectified. The second possibility is that you have a isolation issue and one of your other power source (most likely the mains) is returning or leaking to the inverter output. Hows the system wired into the house?
