Do you get? Nobody is siding the driver but people don't understand that some actions or prices just filter you to witness trouble. See another example, last week, one of my guy went to pick order, na so the guy dey shout dey insult for my guy ontop phone in phonetic with American accent say my guy no know road, when na him no give better directions. My guy cautioned him and on seeing him he only picked him because his partner was heavy (pregnant). Guess what, after my guy dropped him off, the wife forgot her phone in his car. As the baba call my guy first thing he talk na "Bros..."

Are you really using it's the rider's money to justify them exploiting the low fare setting Indrive permits? Both Indrive and the rider exploits the driver's lack of economic leverage as country hard.
And that was exactly, what I was pointing out, the broken system, this piss show we find ourselves in. The driver is a thief. The rider and Indrive are thieves as well from an ethical and economic standpoint.
No offense, you that sees the rider's action as getting a good deal or just their money is also a thief. See both wrongs, stop doing selective empathy.

Indrive will take about N1500 from the 8k you were to pay. His take home would have been about 6k. FFS 6k for driving 26km from VI to a traffic riddled Addo road? This hustle is the biggest modern day slavery in Nigeria at the moment . Even if you are on CNG, does 6k take home amount to labour and time? If the car was yours, would you pay someone 8k to drive you from VI to Addo in your own car and fuel?

There's no explaining why he bolted with your money. The fair deal for this trip is 15 - 20k in the prevailing economic situation. Maybe you should negotiate with him to return 60k to you. He may listen to that offer. Otherwise, just take it as karma.

Truly a tale of stingy rider meets hungry driver, nothing to see here.
It's much easier to get the money back from a 419 than from a desperate driver that accepts a N270/km ride.

Bro, as I saw this video I was just feeling for the uber guy. Two days before I saw this video I wanted to drive out for the rain surge but my mind just tell me say, you fit dey pursue Rain Surge make you go enter hole. Cause, there are some nasty streets with holes in the middle, there's one I entered in particular at Badore road, when heading back to the express, the last street before the roundabout, near the fuel station.

Map directed me to follow there to beat the traffic, as I turned into the street my right tire entered inside. I had to hold the brakes with my left leg and accelerated with the other leg, at the same time to reverse back to the road. If I had removed my leg from the brakes even for a second, my car would have fallen deeper, as the car was already leaning.

As Tublez said, exercise caution during this raining season. If possible always watch other cars, if nobody is taking an alternate route, there's a reason.

Happy Sunday chiefs, I met a client recently and he happens to work at moniepoint. Currently, moniepoint is rolling out a payment plan for CNG conversion. You only need to pay about 10% and you'd repay the rest over a set period. The client I met works in that particular department. He says it's still in early testing stage not fully released, but they've tested about 40 drivers. If anyone's interested, let me know I'd mail his contact. Apparently, if you have a moniepoint acct it's not difficult to apply directly from the app, which was what he mentioned, but I don't have a moniepoint acct nor was I keen to convert so I didn't pursue it.

Just google search "Moisture in your AC system can cause inconsistent cooling" you'd find out more. Basically, If they changed your gas without vacuuming (Flushing) it's very possible moisture dey the system.

Same thing if you have been enjoying the AC and you immediately stop at a 5mins traffic it will start raising and dropping engine RPM.

New condenser bought, Radiator fan working, new expansion valve.

Same thing happened to me twice, same fix both times; flushed the AC system and refilled gas. Check your gas levels, then flush the system and refill ac gas and oil.

Indrive is best if u plan well and r patient. Actually if u want to keep it moving and have a high target from 50k above as u mentioned then u MUST need indrive .

God abeg. Why are you praising a N383/Km dashboard with your 2.5L RAV4 and with fuel at N1330 per litre? Holy. Boss, no naw, that's a foul. I understand, you'd claim your car and body, but try add disclaimers so unsuspecting newbies won't think that's a sustainable standard in these times.

And truly, I get that times are subpar, but 20k fuel to net 50k is nothing to be proud of, cause that 131km you drove definitely was more 6hrs, without factoring the time it took to cherry pick all those rides.
This same N360-N400/km was my minimum when fuel was N839, with my 2.4L muscle, talk less of now that fuel is N1330.

Aswear, I really respect your fuel efficiency if that report is accurate. I really do. But you need to optimize your dash. In as much as you believe Indrive is the way and the truth and the life, it won't trump Bolt during surge, especially priority and comfort. At the very least, you should average N500-700/Km

Besides, I don't know why he found your numbers unbelievable. My numbers are similar to yours. Same work routine (Fridays, Mondays, Saturday and Sundays), similar car, yours is Camry 2010 mine is 2011 V4. And I know my route is not very efficient, cause I still have a lot to learn but my January dashboard showed 760k (400k from bolt, about 320k on Uber and 40k Indrive) not counting offline.

I once met another driver that was sitting on 40k as at 11am in the morning. I jam this guy at Ikoyi, turned out he lived in my area, 2 minutes away from me. By that time I met him, I was still on 8k, bro was already on 40k. And I confirmed his trip log on his bolt app. His trips for that day were just immaculate. So one thing I've learnt since I started is that there are no hard numbers to work with. And if you don't have a price filter, and keep taking 2-3k rides, you'd just be doing advertisement for this ride apps.

I could go online and next thing stupid prices, and because my acceptance rate is at 53% I can't decline too much. I'm always happy when I see order accepted by another driver. Two times in a row I don off app or switch to strictly comfort.

I'm planning my wedding and my fiancee suggested that she wants to sew a wedding gown, and then I gave her an option to rent one for N50, 000 so I can channel the finance elsewhere. She's insisting that she will hire a tailor to sew one for her, so then I told her that I will give her the N50, 000 and that's what I can afford for the gown.

I'm doing this because I feel like it's just a day dress and allocating funds to other things will be better. Hiring a tailor to sew a new wedding gown for lot more money for just a day does not really make sense to me, especially if I still need funds for other things and she is wearing it once.

I just got it replaced but the issue now is that the AC guy that replaced it wants to just fill new gas directly, without vacuuming the system for moisture, please is this proper? Google checks and Chatgpt keep saying it's absolutely not good, that it will damage my compressor long term. The other AC guy I used when I needed a gas refill vacuum the system properly last time, and I called him but he says I should just let the guy do what he can and then come to him since I'm far right now.
Abeg what should I do? And how much is it to vacuum and refill gas? I spent about 30k last time.

That's actually great, I'm just glad I can combine platforms now. I even saw a 16k trip on Uber from Maryland to lekki, I didn't take it because I feared it was inside inside Lekki, Sangotedo area. Because that's what I see on bolt, it was latter I realised it was Ikate.
And yeah, I would have taken that ride now that I now it's the net price.

If you ask me, this is not bad, that's about #355/km. and by that time, you're driving against traffic. By the time you get to ikoyi, you'll definitely see better surge trip back because it's the rush hour.
