What of Lagging Back? i didnt see his name ooh. |
Kechi is right, sacking him will not solve the problem, infact it will make matters worse. No team succeeds without a coach, so if u sack him, u need to replace him. And if u replace him with someone that is worse than him, although this person will be difficult to find, then u ve made matters worse, if u replace him with someone like him, then we re still where we are. But if u replace him with someone better than him (very easy to get someone from this group), then we re moving ahead. So Keshi its absolutely right, sacking him will not solve the problem. |

Blitz4real:"He that kills by the sword shall die by the sword". I'm not judging though but going by the name (DA APEX LA SAMANGA), it's not always totally out of place to judge. |
Chineme Okafor Workers of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) monday resolved to commence a nationwide strike today following the failure to reach an agreement with the management of NNPC on a number of issues they are in disagreement with. Some of the issues that had forced the workers to embark on a nationwide industrial action, THISDAY learnt, are the sudden withdrawal by the National Pension Commission (PenCom) of the operational license it gave to the NNPC to run an in-house pension fund management company for its workers. A text message from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) yesterday in Abuja confirmed that the workers will likely down-tool if the 12 midnight deadline it gave to the management of NNPC to broker an agreement with them on the adequate funding of the pension fund, commencement of the planned Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) of the refineries as well as restoration crude supply to refineries elapses without any meaningful result. PENGASAN said in the text message that all operations of NNPC will be shut down since there was no truce at the expiration of the deadline. But efforts to get across to the Group General Manager Public Affairs of the NNPC, Ohi Alegbe, to provide clarifications on this were not successful as his mobile phone number was not reachable at the time of filing this report. It is however understood that PenCom took the decision to withdraw the license of NNPC Pension Fund Limited on the alleged grounds that the company had overtime, failed to meet up with the extant requirements in its operation of the fund. THISDAY sighted a letter that was addressed to the Group Managing Director of NNPC by the Acting Director General of PenCom, Chinelo Anohu-Amazu, in which the commission stated its knowledge of NNPC’s unwillingness to comply with extant provisions in the Pension Reform Act (PRA), 2004. The PenCom letter was dated September 8, 2014. It partly highlighted the conditions upon which the operational approval was granted to the NNPC and which it has failed to meet, hence the licence withdrawal. It stated that it had in 2006 granted temporary approval for NNPC Pension Fund to operate as a Close Pension Fund Administrator (CPFA), pending compliance of guidelines issued by the commission and the provision of the PRA 2004................... http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/oil-workers-begin-nationwide-strike-as-conciliatory-meeting-ends-in-deadlock/189164/ |

JS Kabylie striker Albert Ebosse was struck on the head by a stone after a 2-1 defeat to USM Alger and died on the way to the hospital By Peter McVitie Aug 24, 2014 09:47:00 A player was killed during an Algerian league match after being pelted with a projectile thrown by a fan. Albert Ebosse was struck on the head by an object thrown at the end of JS Kabylie’s 2-1 defeat to USM Alger in Tizi Ouzou. A stone struck the Cameroonian forward, who had scored his side's goal in the game, as he walked towards the tunnel. He was taken to hospital but never recovered. Kabylie captain Ali Rial revealed that Ebosse died in his arms as he accompanied him to the hospital in the ambulance. "I'm depressed, it's real drama and I do not know if I'll get over it," he said. "He died in my arms, I still cannot believe we have lost him forever. He was a good man, God rest his soul." Team-mate Djameleddine Benlamri also spoke of his devastation, stating it was a shame for the entire nation. "I cannot find the words to express my grief, except that our stadiums are no longer safe for football. "Worse, they have become cemeteries with the death of Ebosse. It is unthinkable that a player has died because of a defeat. This is a disaster and it is a shame for our country!" JSK released a statement after the player's death, revealing the incident will be investigated. "The Ministry of Interior and Local Government, through minister Tayeb Belaiz, has given the instruction to open an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Albert Ebosse," the statement read. "The JSK player succumbed to a head injury after being hit in the head at the end of the meeting with USM Alger." http://m.goal.com/x/en-ng/news/5056381 |
Every body is now under pressure to contest, so our election has now become a Pressure Relief Valve(PRV) for these empty vessels to come depressurise themselves. |
I ve been waiting for a positive news on this deadly EBV, thank God for this. |
Minister of Health in Nigeria, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, says the first Nigerian Ebola patient declared fit and discharged from hospital. The Minister’s statement is coming two days after the death of a fourth Ebola patient was reported. A late Liberian-American man, Patrick Sawyer, was the first case of Ebola virus in Nigeria. He died on July 25. In an effort to contain the spread of the virus, the Lagos State government, the only state in Nigeria with reported cases of Ebola, had provided an isolation unit to accommodate persons who tested positive to the virus. At a press conference in Abuja on Thursday Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, said eight persons are still alive, more than half of them are doing very well and actually showing signs of recovery … under treatment,” Prof Chukwu said. The discharged patient is believed to be among those he earlier said were recovering...... http://www.channelstv.com/2014/08/16/ebola-first-patient-discharged-hospital/ |
Well done Imo Police Command for not dismissing the commercial tricycle driver as usual instead they followed up whit a proper investigation. Well done the driver for going extra mile to confirm your suspicion, u could ve said "wetin concern me" like many Nigerian but now u ve saved this innocent baby. This is really pathetic, what re they going to do with a 2 months old baby? if they need one, while not go 2ru d necessary rigorous process of adopting one. Indeed "evil thrive when good men seat down and do nothing" as would ve been the case here. |
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the immediate closure of the KickOffNigeria.com web and mobile sites, as well as all it’s social media pages. KON relaunched almost two years ago after many years in the wilderness, and while the traffic uptake was pleasing, the lack of sustainable advertising and sponsorship revenue has meant that it no longer makes business sense to keep the platforms operational. We would like to thank all our readers for the loyalty and support they have shown KickOffNigeria; it has been a pleasure reporting to such dedicated and knowledgeable fans. We remind you that you can still get all the latest news from the Super Eagles camp and on our players abroad by following Colin Udoh on Twitter @ColinUdoh or checking out his blog at ColinUdoh.com , or following Uche George Egbe at @kpaka2score or facebook.com/kpaka2score .
