Why not have state police councils and why should state police not be headed by inspector generals instead of commissioners? I hope they are not trying to make commissioners of police ultimately subservient to the Federal police

An intelligent person who is knowledgeable on these things should please explain to me why we don't just hand the Present Police structures to the states, every Police man should be redeployed back to thier states and LGA to work.

1 it will reduce the financial burden of having to start looking for funds to pay the new state Police guys.

2 Under this new arrangement, the state Police commissioner will be answerable to committee made up of the Council of traditional rulers along with the states religious bodies head and the Governor as member of this governing board, this will ensure the governors don't have the Police at their disposal to misuse

3 The DSS formations in each state will be the FG eye on this state structures.

remove traditional council and religious body. this 2 bodies are part and parcel of the rot that is currently bedeviling this nation.

State policing should be answerable to State governors and council members from each LGA drawn from each ward
