They’re one of the most corrupt countries in the world. They hardly ever say things as they are. Lobbying is corruption, and the U.S. doesn’t need to teach me otherwise before I know what it is

Paying bribes to secure government appointments should be punishable under Nigerian law. Likewise, creating dubious government parastatals for personal gain should also be a criminal offence.

Neither the bribe giver nor the recipient has the country’s best interests at heart. Both should be removed from office and handed over to the DSS for criminal prosecution.

That is what any government genuinely committed to fighting corruption would do. I doubt the current government has the political will to take such action, they’d rather cover up than admitting such crime(s) is(are) happening under their administration
