Buhari choice of violence rather than diplomacy will be his undoing as the world will not standby forever and watch the Christians of the south be murdered in their own land. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/nigeria-nnamdi-kanus-trial-adjourned-judge-absent-court-while-protests-continue-1538559 January 18, 2016 12:58 GMT A pro-Biafra supporter holds outlawed Biafran banknotes during a protest calling for Nnamdi Kanu's release, in November 2015AFP/Getty A new date has been set for the trial of pro-Biafran leader Nnamdi Kanu after the judge failed to appear in court on 18 January. It is not yet clear why Hon Justice John Tsoho was absent. The case has been adjourned to 20 January, amid speculation that another judge might be appointed for the controversial trial. Tsoho was appointed earlier in January, after the previous judge abandoned the case. The 18 January hearing was set in order to discuss Kanu's bail application put forward by his team of lawyers. However, he will now remain in jail until the new hearing. Watch IBTimes UK exclusive interviews with Kanu's wife My husband is a prisoner of conscience' This is why we need Biafra Kanu's supporters have been holding several protests across south-eastern Nigeria demanding the release of their leader and the independence of the Biafran territories forcibly annexed to modern-day Nigeria during British colonisation. After a few days without holding rallies, the Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob) announced a fresh round of protests on 15 January, claiming the demonstrations would continue until Kanu is released. Protests will continue amid allegations of violence "The protest is still ongoing as of now," a Kanu supporter told IBtimes UK on condition of anonymity. The source also alleged that demonstrators in Aba, a city in Abia State, had been surrounded by the army and two demonstrators were shot dead by police. Pro-Biafrans have often accused the police and army of unjustified violence against demonstrators. In one of the latest episodes of alleged violence, the army was accused of killing between four and 10 people who were celebrating the high court verdict on Kanu on 17 December. During several interviews with IBTimes UK, the Nigerian police have always denied the killings. Speaking to IBTimes UK, defence spokesperson Rabe Abubakar said: "We are working to make sure that these [protests] do not degenerate to an unbearable level." Abubakar also said that protests have been violent, but did not comment on whether the army or police opened fire on the demonstrators. "The military and other security forces have been collaborating and we ensure that appropriate measures are taken in line with concerted operations," he said. "Not all people in the Biafran territories support this cause and we will not allow any group or agency to degenerate to an uncontrollable level." Kanu is the director of Radio Biafra and leader of Ipob. He was arrested by the State Security Service (DSS) in Lagos in October 2015 on conspiracy and terrorism charges that were later dropped. However, a day after the Abuja High Court ruled he should be released, officials pressed new treasonable felony charges against him. President Muhammadu Buhari sparked outrage in December after stating that Kanu would not be freed in spite of the High Court rulings due to the "atrocities" allegedly committed. IBTimes UK has contacted one of Kanu's lawyers comment on the issue, but has not received a response at the time of publishing.http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/nigeria-nnamdi-kanus-trial-adjourned-judge-absent-court-while-protests-continue-1538559

YORUBAS ARE ALREADY SHITTING THEMSELVES ALL OVER THE THREAD. THESE PEOPLE ARE PROTESTING IN THE EAST BUT THEY ARE SHOUTING AND MAKNG NOISE. DEY WILL SOON MOVE TO LAGOS. |
Innocent people that lost their life in Bayelsa, could have been prevented had APC Buhari accepted Defeat. This is why GEJ is a democratic hero, many dont know that they are alive today becos GEJ accepted deteat.Despite evidence of election rigging. The rematch in Southsouth will unnecesarily lead to blood shed. If Inec did not conduct credible election in 2015, than the general election that brought Buhari to power is questionable and should be recalled. |
The picture of the boy from the south south speaks volumes.

Akwa Ibom and Cross River State Bombing Barely one month into Office, it was widely reported on 18.06.2015 that the Nigerian Airforce had launched bombing raid on Cross River and Akwa Ibom. Many observers could not fathom the reason for this bombing of serene and beautiful Cross Rivers and Akwa Ibom states. Many farmers both Male, female and children lost their live needlessly in those raid. This was swiftly followed by APC instituting claims at election tribunal for a rematch of the just concluded state election in Akwa Ibom. Inec and the credibility of 2015 election The 2015 election supervised by Prof Jega was internationally acclaimed to be credible, free and fair. That election brought Muhammadu buhari and his APC party to power. Yet Buhari APC party have insisted on truncating the mandate of PDP party members via instituting Tribunal proceedings that are illegal. It is worth noting that Rivers State is not a conflict zone and have been relatively peaceful in comparison to Borno,, yet Rivers State election tribunal was moved to Abuja under the influence of the Executive arm of Government (Buhari) whilst Borno state tribunal remained in Borno despite the on going war with Boko Haram. Subsequently, the entire election conducted in Rivers state have been canceled with a scheduled rematch. This is despite much objection by INEC whom have responded by filing an appeal against the judgment of the Rivers State Governorship Election Tribunal nullifying the election of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike. The Bayelsa state election rematch and PDP triumph once again It is imperative to note that the refusal of APC to accept defeat, congratulate the victor and move on is proving very costly for Nigerians. Although the PDP won the election rematch in Bayelsa, many PDP party members lost their life. Bayelsa state was invaded by Gun men from the Nigerian Army, who tried to intimidate the people of the state, steal ballot box and murder visible PDP party supporters. A popular king of Bayelsa and PDP supporter known as progress never die was amongst the many victims of this fowl Buhari agenda to produce an APC Gov in PDP South South strong hold, BY ELECTION RIGGING. Delta State: The Tompolo excuse to militarise Niger Delta ahead of the Rivers State poll. Four months ago it was reported that EFCC has frozen the accounts of two companies reportedly owned by the ex-Niger Delta militant leader, Chief Government Ekpompolo, otherwise known as Tompolo. The companies, named Mieka Divers Limited and Global West Vessels Limited, are allegedly linked with fraudulent activity in the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) under its ex-director general, Dr. Patrick Akpobolokemi, The Nation reports. This was followed by the 10 of Dec demand by the EFCC that Tompolo Appear Or Risk Being Declared Wanted for the fraudulent sale of land to the government last year worth N13 billion. This was swiftly followed by a very well publised media Jan 13 court summons by the Nigeria's federal high court in Lagos to face charges of alleged corruption. Subsequently, in the absence of Tompolo a court order was placed for his arrest. Since, this court order for the arrest of Tompolo, the Nigeria Army have invaded the Gbaramatu, Warri and surrounding local government area causing the civilian population to flee for their live. There have been reports of gun fire and bomb explosion targeted at oil instulation which Tompolo had earlier warned that the state was planning on carrying out such attack to lay criminal charges on him. Tompolo said: “The truth of the matter is that I do not know anything about the N34 billion Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is talking about. First, it was N13 billion issue, now it is N34 billion. “I am not a signatory to any of the companies mentioned in the said N34 billion case, so I do not know where this one is coming from. “I know that God in His infinite mercy will see me through in this critical moment.” The letter sent to our reporter yesterday by his media aide, Comrade Paul Bebenimbo, accused the EFCC and its team of lawyers of using the case for personal vendetta against him. Tompolo, who is accused of being behind destruction of oil facilities in Delta State, urged President Buhari to be wary of some of his party members in the Niger Delta, particularly those who left the PDP for the APC. He said: “They (APC members) are the ones carrying out the act to smear my name. He blamed his refusal to appear in court on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), its lawyer Festus Keyamo, and some ex-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members(Rotimi Amaechi), who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). He accused ex-Bayelsa State Governor Timipre Sylva of being after him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fN36s2JsQNA&ab_channel=NNTV-Africa
