Uk visa officers working on visit visas do not write to you to explain the source of money lodgement. You will receive their reason in your refusal letter- no one will reach out to you to explain anything.

I have a wife and three children. I applied for a work visa that allows me to travel with my dependents. Initially, I applied alone and was granted a visa, but I have not yet traveled.

While still in Nigeria, my wife and one of my sons applied, intending to leave our two other children with a family member. The plan is to apply for them to join us in the UK once we have settled.

I also wish to add that my son who applied the same time with my wife also got a mail that says "We are unable to make a decision on your application within published visa processing times" ( but they did not request for additional document)

Below and attached is the email my wife received from the UK Visa Office. How should she respond?

In your application, you stated that your other dependent children will not be traveling with you at this time.
Could you confirm if and when they intend to apply to join you and your husband (the main applicant) in the UK? We note that you included their birth certificates in your supporting documents.
If they have already submitted their applications, please provide their GWF numbers and the dates of their biometric appointments.

Nowadays they (HO) are clever, they know once visitors visa has been granted, next application is asylum.
Pls what documents did you provide to prove her employment as she does not have salary credits tallying with this.
Also did you write that about childcare as the reason she is applying to come? It is very risky as I see more refusals with this as they see it as you coming to work. My opinion.
Also you made 3 of the commonest mistakes.
• 1. Discrepancies in Financial Documents: Bank statements show figures that are different from what you have written in application answers.
• 2. Multiple Ingoing and Outgoings: There are multiple big transactions that are not disclosed or explained.
• 3. Recent Big Amount Added in Bank: This is the most common reason where people think it's an easy way to get a visit visa, which in fact is an easy way to get a refusal.

I guess you didn't see the refusal letter attached to the post.
The application was refused based on the premise that they are not convinced she is un full-time employment and not satisfied with her employment/ financial circumstance. They did not do any verification or request for additional documents.

Addressing the reason for refusal is why I'm seeking opinions as I don't really know what else to add to proof home ties and ensure she get approved this time around. These ECO can be funny sometimes and it's kind of annoying.

Good day everyone,

Please I need opinion and recommendations in reapplying for visit visa for my wife sister.

She is employed full time and have a business on the side( not registered) that gives around 1m monthly income but that was not added in the first application.
The ECO wasn't satisfied that she works with the state government even after providing employment details and all relevant documents including her salary bank statement.

I need help in reapplying again for her as my wife is off work due to medical condition and I need some help for childcare to aid her recovery.

I have attached the refusal letter for advise and opinion please.

You can do 20hour/week extra asides ur main job in care or support or health related field nau. And u apply for ihs refund.

But since u r not even on health visa it means u work a good job so the ihs money should be small money to u na 😂😂 one month of ur salary has covered the expense.
The country self ehn. NI tax pension just eating deep payslip.

I heard it's necessary to book a return ticket for a visit visa if not you might have issue with border patrol. House pls which airline has flexible booking that you can easily amend your return date incase of a change in plans?

No doc was spared
Uploaded ielts, msc, i even booked hotel and tour packages and uploaded it, work leave letter to show home ties, sponsor letter and id cards, i uploaded every single thing in the checklist, and its just a one week visitation.

I applied for someone visit visa, it was refused, but no reason was stated. Whats the way forward pls.

Again, fees charged by them is in naira and are reviewed not frequently. There is no fluctuation with exchange rates.
Go to the UK student thread and ask OR check their respective websites- IOM, Q life etc OR call the offices- IOM, Q life, St Nicholas etc.
You will not get answers or very delayed responses here.

Oga giselle, adequate funds dey. The whole idea of splitting the budget was just so my wife and I could both be represented. Either of us could have done it as we both work full time and the account statements we each provided attested to that so I don’t think that would have been the problem.
On the other hand I know students and PSW holders who have combined funds to bring their parents and got the visa.
I genuinely don’t think that was the problem if not they would have mentioned it.
As for evidence and stuff, well there was no letter explaining the arrears but there was a payslip, stamped and issued by the pension board. I believe if we had asked for a letter she would have easily gotten one as she retired a senior civil servant and she has her ways.
I don’t like crying over spilled milk and I believe obtaining visa is a privilege not a right, I just wanted to touch on some of the points you mentioned.

About VSF application fee. Is NGN 155,343.00 the standard amount without needing special assistance?

Our case is quite similar with some differences.

Most times, if you get a COS from NHS, your visa decision tends quicker. In our case, it took 8 working hours to be approved after submitting application (same day with no priority services). Applying while his application hasn't been decided will certainly delay your decision as it is dependent on it just as the visa name. The best thing to do is allow for his visa to be approved. Postpone your appointment, that's very possible.
And concerning the change in name, it shouldn't be a problem.
