Crude price was sold at an average of $120 from 2011 to early 2014 and this was at a time when we were producing 2.5 million bp averagely. A sensible president could have build the reserve to at least $150billion during that period but not him. He squandered everything.

Sadly, those that came after him did not inherit such a gift. Buhari inherited a reserve of $26billion and excess crude account of less than $2billion. Crude oil went down to $20pb in 2015 before moving back to an average of $50 till 2017. In 2020, Covid crashed everything to zero. Oil militant also bombed the heck out of oil wells and things got so bad that we were doing less than 1m bp when Tinubu took over.
