I can't stop laughing... It was also like this when I gained my admission into unilag. Let me share some fact about hostel and lectures The first thing u should know is that hostel clearance varies. If Biobaku Hall asked u to come for clearance tomorrow u better go. Moremi or any other Hall may ask u go come next week. But as for those who got Biobaku Hall I am sure latest by next week Monday will be ask to move in. That's if u are done with ur clearance. The clearance is what u can just do in a day. If u ve all ur documents ready. As per the lectures, lectures will commence on the 18th no doubt about it, but u should be in school b4 that time. Coming from home to receive lectures is not easy o. Just passing by U can call me Babatee For those who got Biobaku Hall u can whatsapp me on 08064931444 for any assistance. |
Pls house I noticed my hot note back camera quality is now bad compare to how it was b4. Pls what is the solution to this problem? |
TO ALL YR1 AND DIRECT ENTRY STUDENTS. The accommodation exercise for this category of students will soon be concluded. Consequently, the accommodation portal will be opened on Thursday 8/1/15 @10am to ALL year 1 and direct entry students who are yet to get bed spaces. 100Level /Direct entry Biological children of staff should take part in the exercise as well. Pls note d unclaimed spaces available are few. GOOD LUCK. DSA |
happy new year to u all |
Ayo081:OK. thanks for ur concerns I really appreciate |
Ayo081:I ve check o |
I paid for my hostel yesterday at first bank and up till now I ve not receive my confirmation code... is there any one having the same issue and pls what can I do? |
Students should disregard the information about accommodation announced on a website. It did NOT emanate from the DSA's office. Authentic info on 2014/2015 accommodation exercise will be out soon on Unilag Website, LagMobile & Unilag News Flash. DSA |
Accommodation exercise will soon commence. Students are strongly advised to set aside their accommodation fees as there would be limited time for payment. DSA I just received the text from lagmobile |
Smartini:don't mention.... what are we akokite for? |
Smartini:Heyah! sorry about that... life is what happens to u when u are busy thinking another thing.. pls don't allow that to disturb u. |
Words Of Advice For The Newly Admitted Students I need you to understand that all am about to tell you here are what we have seen and what still happens, so read to the end. For the admitted ones the questions on their minds are; when is school resuming? Should we start coming to school? When is clearance starting? Should we start paying for school fees and so on? Those are right questions but Beyond these, there are certain valuable things you also need to know. First of all, big congratulations for having made it and congratulations in advance to those yet to be admitted. It's not easy. Do not feel you are better than those who couldn't make it or will not make it, rather; give God all the praises because its not as if you read or prepared more than they did, its not as if you did more or took more risks than they did, you all read, prepared, did equal expenses and took same risks but God has favoured you and said this is your time. I want you to understand that gaining admission into university is NOT the time for you to start planning to exhibit all those your bad potentials you are not allowed to exhibit at home, wearing sexy and seductive clothes which you are not allowed to wear at home (girls), carrying irresponsible hair styles which you are not allowed to carry at home (Guys). It's NOT the time for you to start making plans on how to visit those men/guys you have been longing to visit or the time to start inviting girls to come visit you, its NOT the time to start going for party, its NOT the time to lose your virginity, school, its NOT the time to get yourself "belonged" or start being arrogant, naughty, etc. Gaining admission into university is the time to feel "FOCUSED", its the time to feel "CHALLANGED", its the time to feel "AT RISK", its the time to feel "RESPONSIBLE", its the time to be "CAREFUL", humble and know that 80% of the decisions about your destiny now lies in your hands and any wrong decision you make at this stage will definitely reflect on your academics/future tomorrow. For you to be that great person you have always wished or desired to be starts right now as a fresher, for you to make your first class, second class upper/lower, third class, etc all starts as a fresher, for you to graduate or not graduate with your mates starts as a fresher. A lot of good and bad things are waiting for you inside that campus. Some will tell you that you need to belong to cult to make it, they will tell you that the former head of state, Governor, senator were all there because they were cultists. What they won't tell you is about many who died in the process. Some will tell you that you need to become "GAY".. (a lesbian or a homo-intimateist) to avoid distraction, diseases and unwanted pregnant, what about the curses that are attached to it? Some will tell you that you need a company and someone to date or always be with to know whats up around the school or to get academic aid or to avoid being lonely...they are all lies. There are harmless friends, there are fellowships, there are reading groups, there are good clubs to be your company, academic aid and so on. University is a dangerous place because your parents are not there to direct you or make decisions for you, your room-mates or your school friends can't do that for you; they have not even finished deciding rightly for themselves let alone deciding for you. All the decisions are on you to make. Nobody will ask you to read, nobody will ask you to come to class on time, nobody will force you to do your assignment or quiz. If you are not a decisive type, kindly start learning it now or better still, do not come to university to destroy your future or life. University is a very sweet place and also a very ugly place, it can shape you into a great person, it can also reshape or destroy you. We have tried to provide you with info on how to enter university, we wont tell you how you will live your life there. Be Careful_And_Wise. SOURCE: myschool.com.ng |

UNILAG 2013/2014 SUPPLEMENTARY LIST, WHAT TO EXPECT UNILAG SUPPLEMENTARY LIST ANALYSIS So the merit list is out, and thankfully, many of you made it. Regretfully, however, many of us didn't. This group of people are the ones now looking to the supplementary admission list to smile. To take off a little tension, and to prepare you for what to expect, I will be analyzing the UNILAG supplementary admission list based on past occasions. The UNILAG merit admission list for 2014/2015 session came out last month, and the supplementary admission for the 2014/2015 is expected around the corner anytime soon. It takes a couple of weeks after the merit list for the supplementary list to show up, at most a month. However, of recent, the supplementary list has been apt to come out after those on the first list are through with the first part of their registration. This is probably because the school want to know how many more students it can accommodate. The supplementary list usually contains two lists: the UTME supplementary list and Direct Entry list, hence it is anticipated by many, not just the UTME students seeking admission into year one but also the Direct Entry candidates who would proceed to year two. Let's begin with the Direct Entry list. Many students who applied for admission through A-levels, previous degrees or diplomas, and some less informed successful Foundation students were alarmed not seeing their names on the merit list. There's no cause for that, chill, the direct entry list would take care of you. Last year the direct entry list for medicine and surgery contained about 60+ names of successful foundation (diploma) students, the names are more likely to be more this year, because foundation students are through with their program and about 80 of them in Medicine were successful. Under the foundation students, would be the A-level students, about 10, or more or less, (for medicine) of them. These are students who have completed an A- level program and have met up with the points required to study the particular course. Next is the list of students applying with previous degrees or diplomas. These too, are quite few, numbering just as much as the A-level students. The UTME supplementary list on the other hand is what it is, a supplementary list. More students will be admitted on this list to supplement those already admitted in the first list. So, if you scored very high and feel there's hope of getting admitted, just keep your fingers crossed, pray and wait for the supplementary list to be out. Last year though, the list for Medicine contained just three names, although space was provided for five and two spaces omitted. It's likely to be the same again this year, as the merit list contains just the same number of names as last year. However, we can't say exactly, until it's out. These analyses and speculations are based on previous lists, and not on any official info or quota. I do hope that when the list is out, those of us still waiting to rejoice, will do so, finally. Thanks. Babatee |
