Your analysis of this story lacks basis. Your judgement of the case is typical of the way a Nigerian police detective would judge a case. Though his story has lots of loop holes, I don't believe a suspect in his right mental state would arrange with a crime reporter to cover up his mess with lies and at this point I wouldn't wanna say he is guilty or innocent. When someone is murdered, everyone around her becomes a suspect. As one of the Nlanders rightly said, when crimes happens in Nigeria the weakest anf poorest link becomes the prime suspect.
