My own advice is it's better to go for a medical course medicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, medical lab and the rest. Those courses are professional courses which have definite placing here no matter how bad it is

I studied bch majorly cos I wasn't too good in Maths, physics and the rest... if I had known, I for kuku don rugged study Pharmacy.....Biochemistry is a wide course with thrives well in foreign countries cos of their level of research. But in naija, how many research we dey do?

For those that are doing well with biochemistry, not people wey don divert enter bank o...Lol, I'm happy to hear such stories cos it rekindles hope in us. It is well. We will all be successful and find fulfillment in life in Jesus name.

Getting a masters if you can or really interested in bch is ideal but then you need a phd alongside. Master holders now are much especially for bch where we don't have enough industry to absorb all the graduates. Most go back for masters and they still have to settle for jobs of 50-70k. But with a phd you should be very ok with the offers you will get. There is always the option of becoming a lecturer which is very possible with a phd

..To be a good doctor is basically a personal decision..The above federal schools are wonderful but I know colleagues who finished from them who are not what you expected and I also know about colleagues from the so called private universities who are excelling..Am talking from experience bro...Due to the harsh economy people are easily annoyed and envious towards anyone or association associated with wealth(in this case expensive Babcock university )

Infact you've captured it. There's this sense of annoyance and envy among some Nigerians about private Universities..

I graduated from Unilag, and I tell people, if you can afford it, send your wards to good private universities.

Graduating their 1st set of doctors is a step forward.
