We see all the questions that come in. Thank you for coming back! A few observations:

It is very common for people to advise Officers that they have a base salary and get allowances or bonuses at various times. A good rule of thumb is to state the salary that you feel best reflects your income, both on the DS-160 and in your interview.

When you come for an interview, we assume you know why you chose a school, why you want to study the major that you’ve chosen, why you are going to a particular place, etc. Visa decisions are primarily based on the interview, so memorizing questions and answers is never a good idea. We can’t say this enough -- being honest and straightforward is the best policy.

I just realized that this piece of news may have been somewhat startling. I mentioned a while back that my tour is drawing to an end but that was several pages ago, so it's probably a good time to explain.

After three wonderful years here, it will soon be time for me to sadly move on to my next tour, a couple weeks from now. But I'll stay on Nairaland until my successor has arrived and settled in. This does mean that I won't be able to log on every day, and that questions about specific cases will all be directed to LagosIV@state.gov because I'll have no way of looking into them -- but I'll be glad to keep answering inquiries that don't require me to be physically present.

Let's continue the thread as usual for now (except that my attendance will become somewhat intermittent) and I will say a proper goodbye to everyone when it's actually time to say goodbye. In the meantime, back to work, everybody! All will be well.

Thanks really appreciate ur contribution, but d fact is dat nowadays, u can not predict what pple want or what d person will appreciate, for instance, who will appreciate dates as zakatul fitri and u never can tell wat d person is lacking and would prefer to have, in such case, money is said to be preferred.
If u have d list of d staple food items, their quantity in market or thier equivalent in naira, kindly supply.
