How much is the estate fees annually? |
It would be great for the Nigerian defending this in any form to be sent there for like 6 months to enjoy the system. I assume that they are all 100% black so will be in the slave category (lucky ones will be categorized poor). This is the reason I avoid all the Arab countries (including North Africa). Once you are black, sorry for you. |
Kalulu44:It would not have been senseless at all. Infact that was a path that would demonstrated what self governance would have been and I am telling you would have precipitated serious agitation across other nationalities in Nigeria particularly in the southwest. Imagine for a minute, if he had a slate for governors, state assemblies across the south east that got elected. Post election, the new leadership eliminates all corruption and institutes a functioning government that delivers for the people. At the same begins an extensive interstate cooperation with planning and projects at the regional level. After 1 term, the rest of the country will start to note that and all the nationalities will start looking inwards and the process of reorganization of Nigeria will happen organically. Unfortunately Nnamdi Kanu had no interest in anything like this because it was a just a scam job for him. It just succeeded beyond his wildest dreams and he just wanted to continue to milk it and enjoy his new found power. |
Kalulu44:Monday is a work day. Government cares because it impacts the GDP of the state. Beyond this - schools are impacted as well. We are essentially raising a generation that will struggle to fit into a normal five day working week. This nonsense has to stop. Nnamdi Kanu is from Abia state - he can focus there for the sit at home and leave Anambra alone. Same with the criminal in jail in Finland - was busy inciting terror in Anambra yet businesses are open on Mondays in Abakaliki and rest of Ebonyi state. |
AMINDA:Thank you so much for your comment. You are 100% right. Unfortunately Nnamdi Kanu cannot give what he does not have. Biafra is a weakness for us and he took advantage of it to scam our people. He is simply a criminal and honestly succeeded beyond his wildest dreams. I always ask people to go back and see what he was doing for a living in London before Goodluck Jonathan lost the election to Buhari. |
SpecialAdviser:What a moronic write up. Praising a criminal and murderer. So sad that Ndi Igbo have fallen this low. |
getcut:Good point but it is in the context of slavery or forced relocation (pretty common way those days to weaken an enemy by exile to a different part of the empire). Japa is generally is not the same. God also asked Abraham to immigrate, so there is biblical support for people to try their luck somewhere else. |
FIFA is a complete joke. Lost complete respect for the organization after the world cup was hosted by Qatar using venues built by slave labor. Even more shameful was African nations that participated given our history with slavery. So happy I did not watch a single game. The US can still host the games. |
Who is going to pay back this "investment" when it comes due. Generational debt leads to slavery. I stand by my prediction that there will Chinese troops in majority of African countries 50 years from now. Slavery under the Chinese will be significantly worse vs part 1 under Europeans. |
I prefer that the African competitions are hosted by African countries. I did not even bother to watch and never watch when it is hosted by Arabs. The day we realize ourselves as Africans, we will realign our relationships across the globe and especially with these Arabs and allow them compete in sports with their kin in the middle east. |
These are the morons damaging the Southeast. Working crazy shifts in America and donating the money to Kanu, a scammer. History will never forgive these guys. |
Who attends these churches? I mean a guy like this (with other past controversies like the arranged miracle) and yet people are still in the church. I just dont get it... |
If Nigerians get sense, they should just ignore this whole thing. This issue is among the thieves raping the country blind. But just watch as some people will remember he is from their tribe. Meanwhile it will be people suffering like there is no tomorrow. |
You are asking the wrong question. Who you marry is the most important decision in your life. Is this lady a good partner that can work and plan with you? If the answer is yes, then you are ready for marriage. Don't marry for where you are today but for where you will be in future. It seems you have a path now in Canada, if you marry the right partner, she will help you travel that path more efficiently. When I married at 26, everyone thought I was crazy but I knew I found great partner. We started building and today, most of the people who doubted us and thought I was finished cannot believe where we are. And they are just seeing on the outside what we have accomplished. Only close friends and relatives know the details of how my wife supported me to rise to a great height (and allowed her career to take a back seat to make sure this happens). You also have to be a good man to find and sustain a good partner. As they say, those who built Rome own it. Good luck with your decision. |
Anambra State just dodged a bullet... If this guy ever gets hold of State treasury with his Oga Tony Elumelu, it will be a return to Mbadinuju or worse. |
This is the reason why the visa interview appointments are no longer available but if you pay criminals, they will immediately create a spot for you. These criminals are either directly Indians or Nigerians fronting for them. Once this company took over this process, it granted back door access to their people to manipulate the process. Go and check the history of visa interview schedule availability before VFS and the results are clear. The amount of criminal and 419 acts Indians commit globally is shocking. Even with all the bad name that Nigeria has, we are still learners compared to them. But of course, everyone talks about us given how loud and stupid our people are. I am clearly not endorsing criminality but just not happy with the way hard working Nigerians get branded while other countries with bigger issues get away with it. |
I would be extremely disappointed if President Tinubu folds on this. He will not be remembered kindly if agrees to a deal with the criminals. If Mr Adesanya is patriotic, he should have dropped this case before he felt the need to come to Nigeria for the daughters wedding. That's how laughable the whole affair is. You are going through an arbitration with your country and asking for consequential damages that does not in anyway relate to the losses suffered by your fly by night company that was illegally awarded a contract. I really hope he holds the line. |
Arapmoi22:Zelensky is a patriot. Whatever is left of free Ukraine will never forget him and the countless men and women who gave their lives for their country. Not everything should be viewed from the narrow point of US partisan politics. Trump and his team is a deviation from the norm. US foreign policy is largely consistent across the 2 parties until Trump came and personalized it. I am yet to see how the new world order pushed by Trump, Russia and China (don't forget them) will secure the peace, prosperity and global influence America has generally enjoyed post WW2. But of course, I don't know it all. |
I weep for Africa and the black world in general in the event (now likely) that this new world order begins. We have no unity, zero leadership and no ability to defend ourselves while continuing to sit on a huge pile of raw resources coveted by those pushing for this new order. If we thought colonialism by the Europeans was tough, we should now brace for impact for part 2 from these new guys. China go show us... |
The idiots (some being racists) who voted to bring down a world order that has guaranteed the safety, prosperity and standing of America on the world stage because they want cheaper eggs will surely regret this. What a failure for a usually discerning electorate. So sad! |
ispreloaded:I don't know why you call it a senseless war. I don't agree. NATO by principle was a defensive pact - Russia was not militarily at risk with former Warsaw pact countries joining NATO. However, psychologically it is a huge blow for Russia and it's oligarchs. If they did not intervene, the western social and political style would have come home. As for US resources, we always had a war machine/industry and this was quite frankly a huge boon for that industry in addition for the opportunity to reduce Russian military capabilities. So I cannot say Biden was a fool - he was rightly following the script of US post war foreign policy. No comments on Trump. |
Continue to be proud of Zelensky. Very difficult to stand up to bullies and he did successfully. Win or lose - Ukrainian history will remember him kindly. |
Very well written by the former Senate President. A broken clock is right twice a day... I really wish that what comes out of our politicians every once in a while is how the run the country continously. It will really be a different place versus the hell on earth it is now. |
So much respect for Zelensky today. For Ukrainian soldiers in the trenches, there will be an initial moment of despair at what happened and then a deep strong resolve to fight and die for their country even if with bare hands. This moment will be remembered by present and future US allies. A real damage to American credibility... |
The worst mistake Anambra people will make it to allow this guy access to state treasury. His oga Tony Elumelu will use Anambra money to engage in all sorts of random speculative investment schemes. It will be a return to Emeka Offor / Mbadinuju regime where state workers were owned salaries for years. Just surprised no one talks about it. |
YoungLionken:One of the best comments I have read on nairaland in a while. It is shocking how most people on this forum leave the real issues and chase shadows. Generally speaking, the so called elders are the generation that should be cursed because a lot of them benefited from the system established by colonial powers and then proceeded through their greed and incompetence to reduce this country to its current state. It will take a miracle at this point for the generation that never saw a working Nigeria to engineer a turn around. Most on this forum are experts in mocking other tribes /ethnic nations and will never think beyond that, no matter the circumstances. There is no hope unless this tribal / ethnic impasse is broken. That said - I think Obasanjo performed reasonably better than most presidents since the current civilian dispensation. Though he could have done better, but he put a couple of reforms on the board but there was no real follow through. Maybe if Yaradua was healthy/ survived or Obasanjo was able to get him an able deputy (I know some folks will be upset but Jonathan was not competent) |
This is just awful. I am sure this is linked to the need for sudden wealth. This scourge needs to be fixed across the country. God protect our daughters and sisters. RiP to her. |
gidgiddy:This point is one of the reasons why it is hard for me to forgive him. His greed, criminality and overall manner of agitation drove all that. Ralph Uwazuruike and his group has been doing the same agitation over the years and had run ins with security agencies but it has never been this way. Kanu worked up and lied to a lot of Igbo youths in the villages that he will provide them with arms leading to the confrontation with the agencies. We can walk back from all of this and press reset for the sake of our people. |
Ojuntana:I completely agree with you that it more political than judicial and honestly that pisses me off so much. From a judicial point of view, Igbos should hold him accountable for all the destruction he has unleashed on our place but there is no will to do the needful. On the political front, starting with Buhari, and Tinubu also have that figured. As long as Igbos continue to support Kanu and participate in destroying their place and positioning themselves as an outsider in Nigerian affairs, it is best to use him a "bait" or "tool" to keep that going. If you are not Igbo or don't like them or just benefit politically from this situation - you will keep it going. The silver lining is that Igbos can easily end it if they wish today. Throw off the Kanu yoke today, call him out (punish him even) and the whole impasse ends. |
membranus:I am Igbo and your point is concerning hence my issue with how Kanu has been insulting other ethnic nations in Nigeria. But it highlights the lack of overall strategic thinking of Kanu and his crew (aside from their criminality) All right thinking Igbos are concerned. |
Jakumo:It's unbelievable. No matter how you try, it's almost impossible to convince his believers - feels like a cult to me. I spent time this holidays trying to tell people how things have changed from as recent as 2019 once Nnamdi Kanu and his group went down this destructive path leading to the prison break and attack on security agencies. |

! But something is fundamentally wrong with the typical Blackman and so called respect for elders. While typical Nigerians see elders through age, I for one see elders through impacts,/examples/foot steps..
