Hmmmm. Let's try to prevent 'black hattism' here. I am beginning to perceive it by the questions some people ask here. I don't know what u guys think, but I really don't think an ethical hacker would be asking how to remain anonymous, in a public thread. Apart from that, some person's comments here smack of overzealousness and that is not a good sign of an ethical hacker. I stand very much to be corrected though (make nobody ask me anything about this post ooo cos I no go ansa). Still doffing my cap for Just_thinking, Doncrust and others.

@wisemania, I respond to ur gritin oo @just_thinking, ur story can make a good laff anyday. @doncrust, u think they will hear u? This is a country where paper is more preferred to talents. So many of us were willin to work in security agencies but dem no gree us and age has caught up wit us ooo. I guess that even doing ethical hacking privately is okay cos one has time for research. Hmmmm, I wonder wat "format" is and wat that .txt file is @just_thinking please educate us on that. Even sef, how is digital forenzics done in this country? A policeman gets to a crime scene, he sees a dead man, a running system and scattered environment. He dead get it into his head that the first suspicious tin should be the running system, whose memory image he should capture. Instead my guy go put system off and confisticate the system, killing what process may have been runnin on the system to help him solve the case. We really have a long way to go sha, but for me...God don carry go far oo. u guys stay cool.

Ethical hackers don't brag, they do their stuff. Nice one @doncrust. So many times I wonder if our people in government think we are fools. U can imagine the NSCDC paraded a boy saying he hacked in sss, jamb, neco and their own site. The story is that the boy claims to be an expert in web designing. When did a web designer become synonymous with a hacker or has site cloning become hackinng? Moreover, when did the sss begin to have a website? Rite from time the sss dosnt hv a site so I wonder who they are trying to cajole. Hmmmmm.

@wisemania, my search got me the PDF version. You can do it. Remember...your next post here should be that you've gotten it. Okay?
Programming / Re: Ethical Hackers by BackTrack6: 8:47am On Oct 04, 2013
@wisemania, don't let me flog you oo. You hv BN given a link and u say u can't get exactly wat u want. FYI, ethical hackers are meticulously patient and u need that spirit. If the link doesn't give u WT u want, u kp searching till u find wat u want. Just keep searching...
Also, just_thinking has given a resourceful book, The Hacker's Underground Handbook by David Melnichuk, u can also lay your hands on The Hacker's Handbook by Hugo Cornwall.
Mind u, everything about hacking is available to both the Blacks and Whites, so have in in ur heads that we are developing and studying to be Whites.
@wisemania, ensure that ur next post on this thread should be that you've found the books. I had the second bk till I saw the one just_thinking talked of and I did my search and voila...I got it.
If I am being harsh, I apologise.

@just_thinking u are d man. Wow a MITM program. Dat I know how to use some h4ck1n9 t00!5 doesn't make me a don oo. Well, I am still a learner. I am downloading it already to try out on my BT5. I can use Cain and Abel for MITM but I will sure try this out. Ooops...I crashed my system (incessant power outages was making my system not shut down properly and when I eventually put it on nothing was responding. I simply had to format my system with all my better better programs *sobbing*)
Thank God for back up sha. My lappy's back, my virtual machine's is running again and my BT5 is asking for me to issue it some commands. I am really here.

Ehn ehn before I comot, there are some of us here who are newbies to this EH club. U need to be very careful on some videos out there. So many videos tell u to just download some programs and with it u can begin to hack and get usernames and passwords of yahoo, facebooks, gmail etc. with just some clicks.
My people all of those are big lies. What they succeed in doing is that once you download to programs u will now be asked to activate the program. In activating it, they redirect u to some stupid pages to fill in some stupid surveys, which you'll never end filling. With this they succeed in hacking the hacker instead and your system will become a zombie. Let's keep sharing ideas here. God bless us.

@DonCrust, it is a nice thing you have the setup file to start working in a virtualized environment and I believe Just_thinking will do justice in his tutorial cos I await it too. Well, for me, I use VMWare, with Vista, XP, Ubuntu and BT running in it. This is one of the nicest ways to start building your own lab (before you start buying systems, when you can afford them).

I have gone through the threads and find the discussions quite interesting. As one of the contributors have noted, more is learnt when quiet. The whole thing about ethical hacking is that it boils down to passion. For those who express excitement after having hacked and scattered their school's router, please don't regard yourself as an ethical hacker. Ethical hacking is very interesting. One thing neophytes should readily have in mind is that when they learn a new thing, they shouldn't rush off to test it on a public network (new exploits should be tested on private networks and networks you are authorized to probe).
I personally belong to a hackers' forum, where we discuss some exploits and how to defend against them. By privilege, I have presented some topics one of Which includes 'How to Create a Back door in Windows 8'.
Another thing which I will also like to note is that Nigeria doesn't appreciate ethical hackers. That is why hackers would do their stuff and hide.
Well, if I may shock you, I have my university degree up to Masters level in the Social Sciences, but passion has seen me play with Ubuntu, Hashcat, BT5 etc.
Before I leave, I'll like to doff my cap for every don who has posted on this thread. God bless us all.
