i have sources for the bcm and complete ignition with d sensor(passlock) hope to get it in a weeks time

Had the same expereince years back

I am left handed,I am really good at anything technical I lay my hands on.right from secondary school.I teach my self most things ,I don't really need to be tauth something b4 I understand it.its sweet to be left hand but I am very poor in other areas.thumbs up to all the SOUTH PAWS in the house

yes you can,does the red light on the door still blink when u lock the door with the key. if yes then the system is still ok.give me a call

sultaan: I posted a reply with some bypass method found online but I was banned so google it and you will find pics of the wires behind the radio you may have to bypass.
You can either buy a new lock or wait 15 minutes for the lo k to stop blinking bypass is easy

i tried bypassing it with d wires from the radio side.it did not work.i need d complete ignition maybe its d sensor that is bad or d bcm

sultaan: Who said it does not have a chip? The security icon means something is off

The security light means d passlock is activated. GM btw 1995 to 2005 or so use d passlock passkey security system.they doo not use the conventional transponder chip as the passlock uses resistance of the key to know if its d original key or not

sultaan: post a pic of the key you are using its either not programmed or a key cut aftermarket. Don't mess with anything yet. That car is cheap yet good enough for daily runs

The key does noot require programming as it does not use d transponder system. Will post it anyway by monday.thaanks in advance

I am embarking on a project to get a alero back to running mode.the security light shows on the dash and will start and go off when started. I am not a trained electricain but I have quite some knowledge on passlock,passkey systems.the gurus in the house can give me all the advice I need to assist me .my plan is to change the bcm and d whole ingnition with d passlock sensor and relearn the key.awaiting all ya help

The CE does not come with a factory fitted remote system. If it has one it is a dealer installed or installed by the original oowner.d LE comes with a factory keyless entry

Siena: A petrol fuel tank would be preferrable, as well as the matching fuel lines.

Fitting a pump within the tank MAY work, but you must be sure to have a baffle in place. A baffle is fitted at the lowest point of the tank, and is usually a series of shrouds, with the fuel pick-up within. The purpose of this is to make sure there's always an uninterrupted supply of gasoline for the pump to draw on. If there's no baffle, each time you brake, or turn corners, the fuel will swish away from the pump pick-up, causing momentary fuel starvation. The same will occur when descending steep inclines.

This is what causes what is called "surge", whereby the engine will cut-out, as the pump runs dry. It also causes fuel pumps to fail prematurely. The only way to have no baffle fitted and have no surge issues, would be to have a full tank of gas at all times.

And your fuel lines...the fuel lines for the diesel are too fat. Again, the engine will run with these, you'll get good flow, but lower pressure. This will cause fuel starvation at higher rpm, or mid rpm under load. Your gasoline fuel pressure regulator won't see the correct fuel pressure, and your engine will run dangerously lean. Gasoline fuel lines are thinner, so less flow, but higher pressure, which is what your gasoline engine will need.

Tx seina,its a 3.3l V6 engine,I plan to rework d deisel tank and the lines,but what I was thinking basically was to just put a fuel pump in the tank and run it thru the former pipes to deliver fuel to d engine.is there a something I should know when doing that,your input will be highly appreciated
