i replaced d above engine 2 months back,when d engine runs for over 15 minutes if u raise it,oil will start to gush out from d aluminum that houses the oil filter,where it mounts on d engine,d seal has being changed to no avail.b4 1d minutes not a single drop of oil will come out. need advice b4 i scra d engine again

What year is d xterra?,you could call me and i will talk u thru reprogramming it if d car lost its memory,if it doesnt work ,then I could send u another one and talk u thru reprogramming it,Cheers.

adanny01: My car, a 96 Accord LX came with a security but no remote. The whole connection with the circuit box was there but not working so i bought one for 7k just cut all the wires from the one installed and connected the new box. Everything worked. I didnt need to use all the accessories the new one came with it.
Can the old one work and which is better cos i still have the original circuit box.

a 96 lx comes with a dealer installed security system as an option or an aftermarket remote was installed.Can u paste what was written on d original box?

does the small indicator on d remote light up then u press any button? ,if no then change d battery otherwise enter d car and press d central lock button if it works perfectly then u might need to have it reprogrammed for d car,u could use a scan tool or have it programmed manually but u will need a second key to do d later.If u meet that condition call me and i will talk u thru it. Or d remote is bad and might need it to be changed,disengage d lower part from d upper part and paste d fcc id on this page and i will tell u what to do.Cheers

Your central lock mechanism needs to be checked ,and repaired for each door or replaced.It is not from d remote.
Note that the factory setting is when u press it once only d drivers door opens,but when u press it again all d doors will open

d remote should be gray color(if there is a toyota security symbol on the right of the dash board) with d following fcc id:bab237131-022 at the back.It is oval shape with a red light on the top.If yur car have just a small red light with no toyota security written then yur remote is fcc id gq43vt14t .If that is what u have call me and I will guide u.Cheers

call me if u really need it,i could send u d remote and walk u thru programming it,u will require 2 keys to be able to programme d remote.So make a dupliicate key

Everfrank: Yes. There is a small red light beside the manual lock finger of the driver door, though its not blinking but this light has a wire connection inside the door. There is also a working central lock switch on the dashboard.

Kingsyze: Oga welldone, I have a 2001 baby boy with central lock system but I nid a remote key and alarm 4 it.
Secondly I have a colleague that has a land rover discovery II dt has security issue and he needs to urgently fix it, he got a key and d key could not open the ignition after loosing his original keys. Both vehicles are located in PortHarcourt. Please kindly let me know if you can attend to these issues and what it will cost to do them.

I can send u d remote and walk u thru programming it,its quite simple,your honda must be an Ex to come with a factory system,check the lock knob on the door there should be a light blinking there,if not then its not equipped with a factory keyless,then an aftermarket remote will be installed,if there is already one installed then i have to physically inspect d car and programme d appropaite remote for the system.I don.t do keys so your landrover friend need check someone else.see my contact on my signature

i fear d gearbox cost and issues generally but get d experts to commend on that

your car might come with a keyless entry,follow d following instructions then let me know what happens,if it does,then within 1 minute u can install a new remote to your mazda

1. Remove key from ignition. 2. Close all doors. 3. Open driver side door and leave open. 4. Insert key in ignition, Turn key to ON (as far as you can go without starting the engine) and OFF, Remove Key. 5. Repeat step 4 two more times, making sure you remove key each time. 6. Close and then open the driver’s door three times. 7. Buzz sound or chime should be heard at this point signaling that the vehicle is now in programming mode. If not, wait 40 seconds and return to step 1.
if d above does not work then a aftermarket remote will be installed to your car,depending on quality and type,it ranges from 7 to 12k.

u have not answered d question i put on my post that will tell me if yur car has a dealer installed system RS3000, if it does then it takes just a minute to instal d original remote back to your car,if it doesnt have it then u need to instal an aftermarket system . depending on the type,quality of the system ,and what u need d remote to do,
eg
1. remote starter- startes the car with d remote
2. Car only starts when u unlock the car with d remote
3.just d regular china remote that will alarm when there is a disturbance or intrusion

is it an XLE,LE or CE.Also check to the right of d dash when u are sitted on the drivers seat.Do u see a toyota security sign close to where the mirror control is? Send me the info then I will tell u what next

u can replicate fixed code remotes

from what u have said,it looks like an aftermarket,do u see any inscription on the remote?state all d inscription on both sides of the remote

Your car is not equipped with a factory remote,it has either a dealer installed or aftermarket remote.describe d kind of remote ,does it have a small led or....look at d back and copy d fcc id.confirm dat your central lock still work manually by operating it

yes it can be replaced,most if not all factory remotes can be replaced,general cost is btw 10k to 15k.
