Take an instance of you buying a 1998model car and you want it delivered to Lagos, you don't want to pay the customs duty. The dealer would charge you for driving the car down to Lagos, he might charge you say for example 70,000Naira. This money is meant to settle customs on the road, so that they wouldn't impound the car. In this case, you can't drive the car down to Lagos because you don't drive non-duty car. You don't know the manner of approaching the customs. But when you are buying this car, and paying the customs duty say for about 150,000naira. When the car is released at the boarder, you drive it down to lagos yourself without paying anyone 70,000naira and also without any customs or police disturbing you. You can use it for 90 working days and go to anywhere with it without harrasement. But its advicable you register it for security reasons. You know our brothers of the night them I hope I have been able to clearify things to you now.

since u said remote control then i believe the whole size of the aircraft will not exceed 1m. Also u said solar powered ,therefore u are looking at electric motors for powering d craft,If i may ask,which type of craft do u hope to build.Also if u are thinking solar the main position for the panels will be the wings,I don't think that space is enof to produce enof power to lift d plane.For a start why not build a plane that can be recharged by AC,if u suceed then u can use find a way to recharge yur batteries using solar.Paste a skematics of the plane on this post and state what amount of power u need .Also I believe u have already run yur model thru an airflow software?

That's where you go wrong, when you are paying duty for a bus of say 150,000naira. Then you are not paying any driving of any kind which u said 80,000naira. What kind of driving is that? Since you paid your duty. You can drive it yourself. And secondly. When an agent charge you say 150,000naira on the duty of a car, the value of the car determines the duty cost. Might be say 80,000naira. The remaining money are for offices and his own gain. Might end up paying about 50,000naira to office. Where one would say pay me 5,000naira before I sign and so on and so forth. I hope I cleared that out for you.

The person you called did not know anything about clearing at seme border and secondly, I doubt if the person is real custom officer. If you bought a car at cotonuo and you pay a custom duty charges at the border, you are permitted to drive the car in anywhere in Nigeria,even Abuja, for 90 days without plate numbers on the and no any Nigerian uniform men will embarrass you. Seme border custom papers are strictly online and if any custom officer want to confirm you papers, they will see you vehicle document in their database,

I do not see any risk buying cars from cotonuo cars market but people are always scared, Everything have changed now,if you are paying custom papers charges for your car at Seme border, you can even drive it down to Lagos yourself without any issues but when you are not ready to pay for the custom chrages, you will need help of crossers to bring the car in for you.

I doubt u clearing anything at d border,most cars from cotonuo ARE SMUGGLED IN PERIOD!!!!!,u pay the BENIN custom duties,then pay NIGERIAN custom too.I dont think so.Don't believe all d lies about the car being cleared thru Naija customs ,it is probably false(possible true for high end cars that 200k naira is neglegible).Take an example I buy a bus for 1.7 mil CFA pay about 400,000CFA for clearing thru there customs.Then pay another 80k naira for transport to naija.Then come and pay another 150-200k for naija custom.NOT TRUE
