Alikoooooooooo: That I cannot tell you....my days of university were a decade ago. I'll do a quick check sha I doubt if we are ever going to see the likes of Dynamix Magazine for a very long time. The Culture and technology has really shifted making it extremely hard to have such magazines. Private schools are very strict about what type of magazines their students read so I wonder how Dynamix would fare. Even public schools like Unilag are no longer the centers of swag like in the early 2000's. |

Alikoooooooooo: Chasing Digital Ghosts: My Rabbit Hole into the Dynamix Awards Looking back from where we are now in 2026, the Nigerian youth culture landscape of the late 2000s and early 2010s feels like a completely different universe. It was an era of physical magazine drops, early Twitter back when it was just Twitter, and a booming blogosphere that dictated what was cool. When I was recently tasked with writing about the Dynamix Awards, a Nigerian youth award scheme, and specifically finding out when its last edition was held, I expected a quick Wikipedia search to give me the answers.
Instead, I ended up on a fascinating journey of digital archaeology.
For those who might not remember, the Dynamix Awards were a vibrant part of Nigeria’s youth award ecosystem. They were designed to celebrate the dynamic young Nigerians who were making waves in entertainment, sports, business, student leadership, and the arts. Back in the day, being nominated for a Dynamix Award was a serious flex. It meant you were not just popular; you were recognized as a trailblazer by a brand that genuinely understood the pulse of Nigerian youth.
But when did it all end?
To find out, I had to bypass modern search engines, which mostly spit up irrelevant corporate tech companies named Dynamix, and dive straight into the internet’s basement. I spent my afternoon scrolling through the Wayback Machine, digging through archived pages of old Nigerian entertainment blogs, and reading through dusty threads on Nairaland. It was like walking through a digital museum of Nigerian pop culture.
Through the fragmented digital breadcrumbs I managed to unearth, a clear timeline emerged. The Dynamix Awards had their golden run in the late 2000s, peaking in popularity alongside the rise of Nigeria’s mid-tier youth brands. However, as I traced the event’s history forward, the blog posts stopped. The red-carpet photos faded. The nomination calls vanished.
According to the deepest archives I could find, the last major, fully documented edition of the Dynamix Awards was held in 2012.
After the 2012 edition, the awards went on an indefinite hiatus and eventually faded into internet history. There were no grand farewell announcements or see you next year press releases. The brand simply pivoted, and the awards quietly ceased operations.
As I sat back and reflected on my research, I started to wonder why it ended. The early 2010s was a transitional period for Nigerian youth awards. The space was becoming heavily commercialized and incredibly competitive. Giants like The Future Awards, now The Future Awards Africa, were scaling up, securing massive corporate sponsorships, and turning award nights into televised, high-glamour spectacles. For mid-tier youth brands like Dynamix, sustaining the logistics, venue costs, and prize budgets required to keep a youth award relevant became increasingly difficult without a massive financial backer. The ecosystem simply consolidated, and the Dynamix Awards became a casualty of that evolution.
Yet, writing this essay and doing the research made me realize that the Dynamix Awards should not just be remembered as a defunct event that ended in 2012. It was a crucial stepping stone. It provided a platform for young Nigerians at a time when the country’s youth demographic was just beginning to realize its own massive cultural and economic power. It celebrated the kids who were laying the groundwork for the Afrobeats explosion, the tech boom, and the creative renaissance that Nigeria is globally famous for today.
It is funny how the internet works. We assume that because something is documented online, it will be there forever. But as my research into the Dynamix Awards showed me, digital footprints can wash away just as easily as they are made. The links break, the blogs shut down, and the servers go dark.
The Dynamix Awards may have held its final curtain call over a decade ago in 2012, but for the young Nigerians who were nominated, won, or even just watched from their CRT TVs and early smartphones, the validation they received was very real. And for me, at least, taking the time to dig through the digital ghosts of the blogosphere to tell their story was more than worth the trip down memory lane. The sad reality of life. I'd blame the magazine for not pivoting into social media earlier they could have had digital copies of the magazine and reduced the price of corporate sponsorship |

BigBoy12inches: Was tiding my room and throwing out alot of things, then I stumbled on a pile of magazines like 50 magazines in number inside my wardrobe. I have not bought a magazine in 6 years ..... Do they still print magazines ?
I went through the pile and it was magazines from 2006 that is 20 years ago. The magazines where all NIgerian magazines with Campus Dynamix, Dynamix, Campus Ovation, The Applause Magazine.
I got out a dry clothes and dusted all of them. I'm going down memory line in my time in a Nigerian University. Looking at all the beautiful women and happening guys in the magazine.
Back then you needed to be a campus mover and shaker to appear in those magazines. I used to buy them just to be informed about what was going on in other universities. I never appeared in any of those magazines. Reading them and memories are flooding back about my time as a young man.
Enjoy the pictures. Can you remember buying The Applause Magazine Dynamix Magazine or did you ever go to the Dynamix Awards ?
Enjoy the pictures. I will upload more pictures In those days in Uni reading Dynamix Magazine was like getting an ipad and getting a thousand friends on social media in one day. I think social media was the reason for it's demise, when Dynamix Magazine came out in 1999/2000 as my elder brother told me there was absolutely no real social media. We had my Myspace but we all used Nokia symbian with it's tiny screen. That is why by 2012 when Dynamix folded that was when so many youth had smartphones so they access to the internet and social media so why would anyone buy the mag when they could see the same events on Facebook ? |

Kalulu44: Saying what I said doesn't mean you will abandon your immediate family. . When you have excess money, your family must have been well taken care of before you think of outsiders. Now I'm not saying it is a must to sponsor a girl in anything. What I am saying is that, if you have the intention of doing such. Make sure you're well to do and won't regret any money spent on her later, which is why I said why doing such don't attach emotion and love to it so it won't hurt you when it happens. Hope you understand me now Then why not sponsor a boy instead to demonstrate plantonic contribution. When men start supporting boys with no strings attached I will believe they can support girls with no strings attached. I'm sure you did not see this one coming |

Righteousness2: Bye bye to the Crushed, dismantled and Destroyed iran Terrorists looking for a lifeline. Bye bye to the Confused Vice president Vance led US Team
[color=#990000][b] Delusion is a terrible thing. Did God Create the bible for Jews alone ? Or did God simply use the Jews like he used the Prophets to bring out his words. What I find extremely troubling is the way Righteousness2 tries to equate the Jews to God himself. You understanding of Even Religion is so miopic. Was Adam a Jew ? Was Noah a Jew ? Was Methuselah a Jew ? Was Enoch a Jew ? The promising of the Messiah started at the fall of Adam God promised to Adam. The Blind will not notice that God allowed the Jews to be taken into slavery when they disobeyed God's laws. The Blind think God is respecter of persons when the Bible clearly says " God is Not a Respecter of persons " The Children of Israel Are Not the Messiah Jesus Christ Alone is the Messiah. Righteousness2 is like a Catholic they will worship things around the Messiah. As Catholics worship Mary and Jesus, Righteousness2 Worships Israel. To find God’s promises of the Messiah strictly before the time of Abraham, we must look exclusively at the first 11 chapters of Genesis. These chapters cover the period from Creation, through the Fall, the Flood, and the Tower of Babel. Abraham’s story does not begin until Genesis 12. In this specific timeframe, God makes two primary explicit promises regarding the coming Messiah, along with one profound enacted promise (a "type" . 1. The First Messianic Promise: The Seed of the Woman (Genesis 3:15) Immediately after Adam and Eve sinned, God spoke to the serpent (Satan) and gave the very first promise of a coming Redeemer. In Christian theology, this is known as the *Protoevangelium* (the "first gospel" . The Scripture:"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." (Genesis 3:15) The Messianic Meaning: The Offspring of the Woman: Unlike normal biblical genealogies that trace lineage through the man, this promises a specific descendant born of the "woman," pointing prophetically to the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. Crushing the Head: This promises that the Messiah will ultimately and fatally defeat Satan, sin, and death. Striking the Heel: This promises that while the Messiah will win, He will first suffer a temporary, painful wound—foreshadowing the crucifixion. 2. The Second Messianic Promise: The Lineage of Shem (Genesis 9:26-27) After the Flood, Noah prophesied about his three sons. In doing so, God used Noah to narrow the lineage of the coming Messiah from all of humanity (the seed of the woman) down to a specific family line: the Semites (descendants of Shem). The Scripture:"He also said, 'Praise be to the LORD, the God of Shem... May God extend Japheth’s territory; may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.'" (Genesis 9:26-27) The Messianic Meaning: The God of Shem: By saying the LORD (Yahweh) is uniquely the God of Shem, this points to the Incarnation—that the Messiah, who is God in the flesh, would come specifically from the Semitic line (the Jewish people). Dwelling in the Tents of Shem:This is a promise that God Himself would come to dwell among humanity. Centuries later, the Apostle John described Jesus fulfilling this exact promise when he wrote, "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling [literally, pitched His tent] among us" (John 1:14). 3. The Enacted Promise: The First Sacrifice (Genesis 3:21) While not a spoken prophecy, God gave a visual promise of the Messiah's atoning work immediately after the Fall. The Scripture: The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them." (Genesis 3:21) The Messianic Meaning: Adam and Eve tried to cover their sin with fig leaves (human works), but it was insufficient. God required the shedding of blood—an innocent animal had to die to provide a covering for their shame. This was a prophetic enacted promise of the Messiah, who would eventually be the "Lamb of God" sacrificed to take away the sin of the world. Before God ever called Abraham in Genesis 12, He had already established the foundation of the Messianic hope. In Genesis 1–11, God promised that a Redeemer would come from the woman (Genesis 3:15), that He would come through the line of Shem (Genesis 9:26), and that He would accomplish His mission through a substitutionary sacrifice (Genesis 3:21). All subsequent Messianic promises made *after* Abraham are simply expansions and narrowings of these original promises found in the first 11 chapters of the Bible. |

If I don't know what to do wth my money I will go and give beggars or go homeless children home and dump it there than using it to sponsor a lady. God Bless You Bros. Omo you are on point. I met this girl on TikTok the way the babe was talking she was talking like me in my private moments she just dey yab and abuse churches and pastors saying that they where thieves. me that is not following anyone on TikTok began following her. You know how we are in Nigeria if you abuse pastor people will not comment to your video so I decided to comment like 10 times to encourage her to support her, Then babe will delete like 8 of my well thought out supportive comments and keep only two. Or delete the video outright. That one na red flag for me o . I then helped her out by deleting some of my comments and finally blocked her. I was not even toasting her I was simply surporting her. I just blocked the babe so that she can never like anything I posted to her video and for it to be a notification to me. |

Rapmoney: Sponsoring a woman you are not married to in school has never been an investment. Instead, it is an act of foolishness. It is better you use such money to buy small goats, fowls, rabbits, or cassava stems and start farming.
Below are some of the reasons why you should not sponsor the education of any girl if she is not your wife.
1. Sponsoring a girl is the responsibility of her father and family, and not yours. Ogbeni, stop carrying load wey nor be your own. Your back go break. If men are to sponsor girls that they intend marrying, then what is the essence of bride price?
2. Our higher institutions are filled with so much immorality today. What makes you think that the girl you are spending hundreds of thousands on, buying books, paying tuition fees, and paying hostel fee for is not sleeping with her departmental guys for free? Dey play.
3. There is no guarantee that she will marry when she graduates. She would probably have more options due to exposure. So you think she will marry you as a vulcanizer catering for her education when she has met various guys in school? Even young handsome guys studying Medicine or Law?
4. Education is a legacy. It is better to buy an iPhone for a girl who will leave you than to give education to a girl who will do same. Phones are man-made. They will get spoilt eventually, but you see education, it is for a lifetime. So why give a legacy to someone who will later dispose you like a used tissue?
If you cannot invest your money in a business or trade, use it to educate yourself or learn skills.
Use your brain make you nor go cry nwii for Nnewi.
I remain WarriParrot Bro they should give you an award for this post. The Award for Best Post in History for Men goes to...............And The Winner is " WarriParrot " |

Unpatriotic2: You have a point but if he had done that, other Igbos in places like Edo state, Benue, Delta, Akwaibom, cross river and other non-eastern states would've been left at the mercies of marauding herdmen. Those people were illegally annexed to other states just to reduce the numerical strength of the Igbos. He did the right thing He did not do the right thing at all..Even Ojukwu adopted a more Pro Igbo stance. Look at Iran are Iran trying to break away from the middle east ? Breaking away is not the solution ..... Fighting to Protect your land is the main thing. The key is Nnamdi was not coded what he should have done was presented himself as a " Defence " fighter. That way he would be able to create defence networks with other tribes by telling them to create their own defence systems. Imagine if 30 tribes in Nigeria had their own defence networks ? In life if your enemy is a snake you also must be a snake. What did Jesus say ? " Be as wise as a snake but be as gentle as a lamb or dove ". Look at how Iran is doing retaliation strikes, Iran waits for you to strike 3 times then gives you massive strikes. When fighting a war always understand the enemy may have public psychological advantage and if you are too rash you play into his hands. Just imagine if there was no war and Iran closed the strait of Hormuz, The whole world would cry out and NATO ships will blast there way through...... But Iran is Not Nnamdi Kanu they are by far more intelligent, they used the war to swing taking the straight of Hormuz as a tool to protect themselves. Or look at how Iran waited for America to attack them through gulf states and then blow up American Basis...... Is the world crying about that ? Patience and Deception is the key if you a fighting a highly deceptive entity. If you want to divorce your wife get pictures of her cheating with other men or be like the PSG guy who put everything he had in his mother's name. Do you now understand ? The PSG guy saw the future and made moves so when his wife wanted a divorce there was nothing to take. That is called Strategic Thinking |

wonder233: The western masters have spoken. The African puppet will swiftly implement, and you can't do jack about it. They have put you on notice by publishing the news.
Someone criticised the poll up there. The wording of the second option is a bit too direct, but unfortunately true. During Buhari's 8years, northerners reacted like you committed blasphemy if you dared criticise Buhari. While the southwesterners taunted you for belonging to the other tribe. Together, they held down blind support for that failed government. Today, southwesterners are staunchly defending based on tribe. So, the country can never be good. The division is too much...and what is the division over? Meaningless tribal affiliation. The Blackman is truly a subhuman...imagine people believing the delusion that they came from somewhere and that somehow means something Bro when are you running for president...... We need hard words like what you have said |

Only God knows how much infection is being spread that way. Thank God Ebola disease is not in Nigeria or it is finished Yes I see them when I'm driving past their schools. Thank God for Goodluck Jonathan and Stellah Adadevoh who saved us from Ebola. |
