The Bio Digester Toilet System is an alternative method in human waste management. The system works by biodegrading human waste while wastewater is is bio-filtered before being released to the top layer of the soil. This system perfectly solves all the known challenges of the conventional system of human waste management. The technology was developed in India and is already in use in countries like Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya etc. Listed below are some of the STRONGEST REASONS we should use the BIO DIGESTER SYSTEM. No energy required to operate the Bio-Digester Very little amount of sludge generated because of lower biomass produced in the absence of oxygen Aerobic process inactivates the pathogens present in the human waste matter No bad smell in toilets or from the Bio-Digester Tanks No infestation of cockroaches and flies Faecal matter in the tank not visible No clogging of digester Effluent is free from offensive odours, solid waste and does not contaminate the ground water / soil like other systems do No maintenance required Reduction in organic matter by 90% No requirement of topping up with any bacteria/enzyme No need of removal of solid waste Affordable and requires just little space to install

Thanks for the feed back. In the situation where by inorganic materials like pad, or condoms( they reduce the decomposition process) are you used in it or there is blockage. The bio digester has a slab ontop. We open it, take out the Inorganic materials and reinstall the chemicals inside and replace the slab. kopell: |
So, we want to further deepen the slight knowledge you have about the workings of the Bio Digester Sewage System. First of all, the system is an onsite waste management technology that works by providing an enclosed environment for the natural decomposition of human solid waste. Now, how does the system performs this function? The system performs this function through these 3 steps: Rapid Separation of solid waste from wastewater. Aerobic Decomposition of the solid waste Bio-filtration of the wastewater. Upon entry of the solid waste and wastewater (flush water) into the small constructed tank, the solid waste rapidly separates from the wastewater. Once that happens, the solid waste will be aerobically decomposed. What that means is, living organisms, which use oxygen, feed on the organic matter. Then, the last stage of the process is the bio-filtration of the wastewater (flush water). The wastewater is filtered through layers of activated charcoal, activated chippings. The wastewater is filtered just so it won't contaminate your groundwater. Upon filtration, it seeps into the ground. Now, we have had people told or rather asked us that how could the small sized tank not filled up within the shortest possible time. The answer to this question is straightforward, clear-cut. The answer is, IT'S NOT A STORAGE TANK! IT'S A REACTOR TANK. The tank doesn't store waste like the conventional tank does. The tank merely holds the waste for decomposition to take place. And, that's ALL! |
