If lies travels far ahead for twenty years, the truth will catch up with it in just one day.
Of what importance is it for people to come online to be bragging and claim what they are not. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.
Let your yes, be your yes. And you no be your no, is a song by Lagbaja.
When people begin to try very hard to shalaye, (believe you me, true to god, using their finger to touch the ground, lick it with their tongue, then point it to the sky - it only shows they are liars)
Say the truth at all times and keep it simple.

Lazyyouth4u is actually correct. There must be communication and feedback between mentor and mentee. Both must know each other.

I think you are confusing mentor/mentee with role model.
Supported, there are couple of applications already developed for mentor mentee programs/session.
There has to be an engagement, meetings and agenda set and agreed by both parties. Regular reviews of assigned task etc.
Mere watching random videos or following someone on Facebook can't be classified as mentorship. At best we can say role model.

I am also not happy with derogatory statements made against the teaching profession (tagging nursery and primary school teachers as a failure is a careless statement that shouldn't be made in public).
Everyone cannot work in an oil company,

Please who knows if there is sukuk bond in the horizon?
Plus, at the rate Naira is shedding it's value, does it worth investing in Naira at this time?

Nigeria is a total mess, our problems boils down to our absurd mentality. In the next 20yrs, we are still going to be fighting same problems as today, because we are not ready to pay a price or inconvenient ourselves for future gains. I was so ashamed to hear our VP Osinbajo saying that FG will now be patronising Naija made cars, are you not wondering why the thoughts to start patronising Naija made cars just occurred to them now that we are already in a deep recession with lots of bad economical policies? Why didn't they start patronising made in Naija cars and other local products at the very beginning of their administration as they promised during their campaigns?

Nigeria will always be a joke among nations, we always wait for everything to get so bad or collapse before acting with fire-brigade approach. We prefer to solve problems under duress than prevent that problem from happening in the first place.
As late as this policy directive might have been, can they truly walk the talk?
I don't trust this government a bit ,especially the VP and lai Muhammed. This govt rose to power through propaganda, falsehoods & make believe.
If they can at least practice what they spit out for once, this recession might not last more than 2 - 3 quarter

These CEOs have a huge chunk of their compensation in stocks (mainly stock options) that they can only cash out when the share price increases to a set price. Why will they not want to reduce wastage and create value to be able to sell those shares and make money?

When Wigwe wanted to cut costs by reducing the size of the workforce at Access, Nigerians made a lot of noise about it. Human beings can be complicated.
It is just that our labour law is weak or non-existent. Laying off staff only to replace them with contract staff and casual while declaring bumper returns is wicked. Over 60% of their workforce are casual receiving peanuts as salary.
Zenith is even worse, over 80% of their IT staff are contract staff managed by one of thier big man wife (this is modern day slavery). If the banking industry had reduced workforce for via automation/ RPA there won't be noise about that.

Get in touch with your financial adviser, buy mutual funds or invest in your financial and economic education. I don't give stock recommendations, but once in a while from my writings you should be able to decode somethings
Thanks for the advice.
But in most cases what you read here are somewhat stewardship of previous activities. Like returns on investment made months before. At that time it is already too late to act on such info.

If you have been reading my comments, I always include ability to value a business or an enterprise, basic knowledge and application of accounting, finance, mathematics and economics will enhance this.

Which can always help an investor to determine the intrinsic value of a business and the shares of the business, with this you are good to go. Leave the noise in the market to gamblers and speculators, while investors will continue to accumulate wonderful businesses selling below their intrinsic values. Most times public offerings are overpriced, you need to be financially literate and understand how to value a business in order to identify this, reason why some investors love the bear market.

Share certificate is not a lottery ticket but evidence of an investor's holdings in a business.
Interesting discussion
So for those willing to invest long term, which share class should they focus on

Where are those that were boycotting them on twitter?

By the way, I advice everyone to follow up Stears Business ( www.stearsng.com ), the Nigerian version of The Economist and Bloomberg.
It is still early days for access to begin see the effect of the twitter campaign.
Haba, lekki shooting Happened on 20.10.2020 and you are already celebrating it has no effect on them. Access management themselves knows the power of youth and huge impact the social media campaign can have on their businesses, that is why they have been everywhere explaining their action to all that cares to listen.

this Tbills crash pushed some of us to extend our risk tolerance level, am already on 100% profit for a crypto pair i buy at $9k and its around $28k now in just 2wks only. if tbill was still at 13% i wouldn’t have join crypto and nse
This your analogy will put people into trouble, you don't test uncertainty with all your life savings.
I'm sure you didn't invest all you had then in crypto. At best you probably would have done 10% of your savings just to test the waters. My advice is that don't be too naive to be tempted to dump everything you have into crypto thinking it will continue to grow.
With the demise of TB, I alse venture into other high risk ventures but with an amount below 10% of my savings.
If kasala bust I have a backup to fall back to

The rate at which Nigerians especially the poor reproduce should be regulated.
Max no family should be allowed to have more than 2 kids by law. People keep reproducing destitute.
Melinda Gates tried hard to help in this regards buy funding a research on birth control kits in some African countries, but propagandists turn it to something else. As things stand now Africa don't need the useless population we generate.

Why don't more people and churches invest in hospitals, I reckon they would make more profit.
Very correct, A friend of mine lives in Lagos and wanted his kids attend Faith Academy - Lagos campus.
But after the regular interview, the little girl barely 10 was posted to their Kwara state campus, because of high number of candidates jostling for placement in the Lagos campus.
That said I think @Lazyouths did excellent job analysing the requirements for a successful high-end international school

Who are those still buying TB?
Maybe PFA or politicians with stolen loot.
I'm sure this govt don't even want to borrow money they will pay back, more reason they are happy to run to China to borrow. Deep down they know it won't be paid back.
If you doubt me ask Rotimi Amaechi.
By the way, PFA are doing well. Stanbic pension have done over 10% YTD,

The mission of the thread is clear-cut; Tbills.

It matters little or nothing if the investment isn’t performing well, the fact remains that Tbills is the focus of the thread. Any other discourse (aside investments) is an abuse.

My inference of your statement is that you’re making discussions here just for the sake of discussions in order to keep the thread busy. Too bad, if that’s it. Silence has its value. Same way Nigerian leaders hijack processes and platforms, divert resources for reasons other than their initial purposes.

If you need to discuss socio-political issues, there are threads for that. Some not-too-frequent readers of this thread and newbies will be overwhelmed by the unrelated discourses on the thread.

Biko, let’s manage our resources well. Best!
There has to be a nation first before you talk of investment let alone TB that everyone has deserted.
You raise the issue, I apologised and can't remember ever making further contributions in that direction, yet the issue didn't die down. Isn't that enough to tell you that is a hot topic people want to discuss now?
You can choose to remain deaf and dumb - don't limit it to silence, that is purely your cup of tea.

Since you have accorded yourself the statutory responsibility of being TB thread police, push the report button for my ID.

Read and comprehend, punch said allegedly meaning some people claimed that 7 persons were killed. Up to know there is no concrete evidence. Mind you people go hurt, some where hospitalized but it is very different from reporting on twitter that soldiers killed several harmless youths. I no get strength, if u don't see d difference carry on believing what ever u like.
What happened yesterday was carefully planned by the government.
In a metropolitan city like Lagos, Gov-sanwoolu gave just 4hrs curfew notice, Lekki tolls is being powered by IPP, someone gave order to switch off the light and get the ever functioning CCTV to be disabled. All these just to conceal the truth
There are couple of amateur videos circulating the globe
Do you think world leader that have issued official statements haven't done their findings?
They verify from their embassy first, archbishop of Canterbury, Hilary Clinton, Mike pence etc have all condemned it.
Anyway you can wait till NTA or TVC show video footage before you believe.
I'm also done debating this issue

Now I know the problem.
Some people can recite a prepared script but might not know the meaning of what he/she is reading.

Someone came out to sympathise with those who lost their lives at the infamous lekki massacre of 20/10. You said she was weeping up sentiment without proof. They sent you link it became difficult to understand what you read.
Finally, your denial statement above says it all

Please stop this. The governor himself confirmed soldier shooting and has been visiting victims in the hospital, he has even confirmed one that just died

Perhaps you lack data to follow the event online.
Follow @jidesanwoolu on Twitter to hear from the governor himself
