https://www.porscheclassy.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Yetunde-Akilapa.jpgLike the proverbial leopard that can never change its skin till the world comes to an end, so is it for Nollywood’s most prolific kleptomania thief, burglar and shoplifter, Yetunde Akilapa, a Nollywood-Yoruba actress.
Yetundeyetunde is better known for stealing than she is for acting, with the close shave with death during an encounter with mobs sometimes back around Magodo area of Lagos, when she let herself into the home of someone who doesn’t even know her to rob the house, many would thought she would turn a new leaf after herself-publicised spiritual cleansing from this unbecoming trait.
Her recent inglorious adventure to steal an Iphone from where she is undergoing training as a makeup artist somewhere in Fola Agoro, Yaba area of Lagos has led to her being excommunicated from the Yoruba genre of movie industry due to her stealing dexterity.
According to Mike Angelo News, It is alleged that Yetunde had sneaked back into the premises after close of work with the aid of a master key to steal from the shop own by an upwardly mobile woman who just brought some goods from abroad, ranging from bags, iphones, ipads, laptops, and shoes. The notorious Nollywood robber opened the lock and took choice items of iphones, ipads, and laptops. Luck, however ran out of her while trying to escape with her loot as she was once again caught.
As always, while pleading for mercy, the usual culprit was to be blamed, the devil and the mysterious voice she hears in her head that led her on, Yetunde, who just bought a Toyota Matrix car, pleaded for mercy and that she didn’t know what came over her.
Having none of that cock and bull story, the shop owner not wanting to take laws into her own hands invited officers from CMS Police Stations to effect her arrest; not happy with the kids gloves with which the case was being handled as two days later, Yetunde was seen again in the street, the shop owner then took it a notch higher by calling in SARS and within a twinkling of an eye, Yetunde was whisked away and has remained in police custody pending the time she would be charged to court.
She might be cooling off her heels and light fingers behind closed bars soonest to be charges for theft and burglary. Saddened by this constant embarrassment, Bose, Yetunde Akilapa’s sister, took the blame to their mother, whose clothe she tore in public glare alleging her that she once cursed Yetunde. http://www.234 forum.com/kleptomanic-yoruba-actress-yetunde-akilapa-arrested-by-sars-may-go-to-kirikiri-prison/ |
Politics › All 59 APC Senators Resolve Crisis, Vow To Cooperate by bamsboy(op): 3:05pm On Jun 23, 2015 |
The impasse at the upper chamber of the National Assembly may be nearing its end as reports say the 59 senators on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have resolved their differences.
Tension had reached an all time high within the party when senator Bukola Saraki boycotted a supposed meeting with president Muhammadu Buhari to connive with some of his supporters and those of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to emerge as the senate president unopposed.
The outcome of this action was a friction among the big wigs of the party as national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, vowed never to accept Saraki as the senate president.
But according to This Day, the leadership of the party spent the whole of Monday trying to resolve the indifferences and their efforts seem to have yielded positive fruits as the senators are now willing to work with each other.
The outcome of the meeting overseen by Chief John Oyegun, national chairman of the APC, was an agreement on the sharing of the outstanding principal offices in the federal legislature as the leadership of the feuding lawmakers in National Assembly took turns to consult on how to resolve the impasse. The low point of the meeting, however, was that while peace was brokered among APC senators last night, the lawmakers in the lower chamber refused to be pacified no matter how hard the party executives tried.
This Day sources stated that the meeting which had Oyegun, Saraki, senator Ahmed Lawan, and other APC senators in attendance, recorded some progress, as both groups loyal to Saraki and Lawan reportedly agreed with the party over the zoning of the remaining principal offices in the Senate.
“I am not privy to the details of the meeting, but I think the Senate President has resolved his differences with the party. What was still in contention was not which zones the positions should go to, but who will emerge from the zones to occupy the posts,” a source close to the Senate President said.
The party source revealed further that the announcement on all the outstanding leadership positions would be disclosed on the floor of the senate after the north-east caucus decides on who should represent their zone as senate leader.
Senators Lawan and Ali Ndume are the two candidates in contention for that post.
Recall that supporters loyal to senator Lawan have vowed to present conditions before president Buhari when both parties meet the president to end the discord within the party. http://www.234 forum.com/all-59-apc-senators-resolve-crisis-vow-to-cooperate/ |

Politics › President Buhari & Oyegun Unhappy As 7 APC Members Demands Ministerial Positions by bamsboy(op): 11:53am On Jun 23, 2015 |
ABUJA – Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Engr. Segun Oni and the National Publicity secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed are currently jostling for a place in the cabinet of the president Muhammadu Buhari as ministers, Vanguard has learnt.
Similarly, five other members of the party’s National Working Committee, NWC have also indicated interest in various ministerial positions. President Buhari, Vanguard gathered is expected to send the list of his ministers to the National Assembly this week as both chambers of the federal parliament resume plenary today and that he is not that much happy with the APC’s demand to be part of his cabinet.
A source at the national party secretariat in Abuja who craved anonymity said that Oni who was the former governor of Ekiti State was banking on the slot of the state.
The source added that his chances might be brighter as the present governor of his state, Ayo Fayose who is a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is not likely to be given the opportunity of nominating a candidate.
He however expressed fear that Oni might run into difficulty with another former governor of the state, Dr. Kayode Fayemi who also played a visible role in the emergence of president Buhari.
It will be recalled that Fayemi was the Director, Research Policy, and Strategy Directorate of the APC presidential campaign Organization. For Mohammed, his chances were slim as he would have to battle with the senate president and former governor of his home state, Dr. Bukola Saraki as well as Ahaji Kawu Baraje, the former chairman of the nPDP who led the defection of G5 governors to APC in 2013.
Other APC NWC members said to be eyeing various ministerial positions included the National Vice Chairman (North-east) Engr. David B. Lawal from Adamawa, National Youth Leader, Alhaji Dasuki Jalo from Gombe, National Women Leader, Alhaja Ramatu Tijjani from Kogi state and Emmanuel Eneukwu from Enugu state.
Vanguard gathered that the members last week in a meeting disclosed their intentions to APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun urging him to transmit same to president Buhari.
But the source stated that the demands did not receive the endorsement of Oyegun who frowned at them.
Last week was only a reminder as the members had earlier muted the idea and persuaded Oyegun to convey it to President Buhari but the chairman who the source said sought Buhari’s consent on the matter at Defence House in Abuja could not deliver the message.
“When the NWC members met with Buhari on the issue of ministerial appointment, though the national chairman refused to tender the request of some NWC members who want to be ministers to President Buhari, the only thing he told him was for his leadership to be carried along in the process.
“But it seems President Buhari knew what was about to happen, he told the party leaders right there not to contemplate becoming part of his cabinet, he told them to stay where they are and build a strong party”, he said.
Meanwhile, the NWC meeting of the party was expected to hold a meeting yesterday to resolve the crisis in the party occasioned by the elections of the new leaders of the National Assembly.
The meeting was yet to commence as at the time of filing the report. - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/06/buhari-oyegun-frown-as-apc-members-battle-for-ministerial-slot/#sthash.QWmhgfUn.dpuf |
