Phones and some other electronics attract duty so visit custom office or ask them in the post office they will tell you who to meet pay duty and collect your item .
Good luck

How to know which customs to visit nationwide

Eriokanmi:
Go and pay your duty op, as a good Nigerian. Any item that exceeds 250usd must attract a duty. That's the only help...which is to go meet them and pay the right amount as duty. Ciao

I don't understand are we supposed to randomly start visiting all customs in our states or to go to Lagos headquarters or to airport or to apapa port looking for customs that have not contacted us at all. How am i supposed to pay duty when my phone is no where to be found in the first place??

Exact same thing has happened to me, a phone ordered reached Nigeria since 31st October and tracking, showing it was in my Town yet had no further movement until date. Just a change from "sorting center" to "line Haul office" on the same 31st oct 2022 entry all still showing its in my city. Meanwhile on 17track website a new update as of 5th jan 2023
'Exception Handling. Sender/lodger to contact Customer Service at 1605" pretty safe to assume customs or post office staff are doing sharp practices

onlinetrader:
Hi Nairaland Family..

I don't know if I am the only one to have observed this. These days, when you buy items like phone from AliExpress, the tracking moves smoothly until it reads "Received by Local Delivery Company". Sometimes, when it gets to this point, it stays there forever..and if at all it leaves this point and you want to claim it in the local post office, you will be charged heavily by the people in the post office.

Bought so many items like a month ago, out of which was a Poco phone. All other items have been delivered except this phone which I first ordered. This phone got to destination country (NGN) on the 8th of May before other items...but till now, tracking shows it hasn't left the custody of Nigerian customs.

What is the problem exactly? Is it that the phone has been "hijacked" OR the process to clear items like phone is different from wears and other items?]

Please help

Yes or type NOT APPLICABLE.

Please to be clear, do I just enter my BVN at the point it's asking for TIN? Cause I'm also stuck at that point. There's no option to select another option

An enquiry Not directly related to the stock app, I want to know how the passport registration system is now.are you doing it all by yourself online?

Lilosh:

Your absolutely right bro. Chaka frustrated the hell outta me. Even when bosses like oakpearl advised to switch to trading 212 to have a glitch free and commission free trade, I was still struggling with chaka and trove all because I didn't want to spend 26k on international passport. The day chaka did me strong thing was when I bought a volatile penny stock with the aim of selling with 5mins and chaka didn't allow me to access d app for over 30mins...long story short I lost 60dollar that day after I was able to login in and to even sell at a loss they still collected their commission for selling d share. the next day I went to apply for international passport and truth be told, best decision I ever made. No more commission to buy and sell, no goodwill violation, no glitch with the app.

Fashion / Re: Ladies That Wear Pant And Tight Under Their Dresses. Right Or Wrong? by bamspilla: 9:16pm On Oct 06, 2018
but the tights also show.
hausadreturn:
But with the pants alone, won't the panty lines show?
I thought the reason for the tight was to prevent those lines.

im sharing this comment ... thumbs up
boss1310:
what is happening in this country right now will not recognise tribe or party when it comes to its peak, everyone irrespective of who you are will suffer the consequences
For all these tribalists I keep saying that every education you ve had in this modern age is a waste as all of you are busy fighting yoruba,Igbo or Hausa and forget you are all in the same country, using same currency and having your democracy under threat.
the man omisore gained even though he lost the election, adeleke will be compensated and I believe he is still a senator his account balance is going up after this, what of the incumbent governor he will still be a free man and get more chieftaincy titles or am I to tell you the fate of the winner
what of you the masses, what do you gain,is it the ability to throw jibes at your fellow common man and still dwindle economically because your nation is being milked while you are busy being a partisan and your rights are being eroded quickly that you wonder if we are still under civil rule

"75,000 spread over 7 month is what I paid.." which is which? so now "admission" is the problem. So if you want to register to a school and you are told u pay for tuition but not admission your take away is that its free

Originakalokalo:

He claimed to have paid 100,000 for admission.

That is not true.

That is what I responded to. you don't pay a dime for admission.

You pay 6000 naira for the form.

75,000 spread over 7 month is what I paid...

Believe the truth.

Believing a lie is not good for your soul.

The mods put that on the front page without verification.

They don't do that with Islam...They are very careful because of the repercussion...

Jesus the Lamb is the Jesus the consuming fire.

Lies sell more that the truth.

admission cant be free at the same time you say you pay 75k, whether its over a year or 10 years thats not same as free. You have tainted your own posts
Originakalokalo:

He said he paid 100,000 to be admitted...

I responded that you only pay 6000 for the application form.... as at 2017...

I am sure that in 2013, the amount for the form is not up to that

After which you can pay 75, 000 over 7 months..

There is no payment for admission except the money for the form.

You can choose to believe a lie.

This is the truth.
