Business / Short Term Loan Lending Business by Barcholder: 11:43am On Jun 08, 2010
Guys

How much demand do you think there is for a short term (3 months Max) lending company that provides applicants with instant funds (up to a maximum of N100k) for any purpose.

Interest rates will be competitive, and loans could either be secured or unsecured (no collateral).

Also, where collateral is required, this could take the form of anything that can be readily valued and sold if necessary (car, house, land, jewellry etc).  Salary cheques could also be used as collateral, as can invoices (where loans are for business purposes).

I'd be grateful to get your opinions on this.
Business / Car Breakdown And Recovery In Nigeria by Barcholder: 1:48pm On Jun 01, 2010
All

I'm interested to find out about the state of the car breakdown and recovery industry in Nigeria.  My mother has had nightmare scenarios where she has gone back from the UK and had her car break down on her, with no immediate way to pick her up.

I want to find out what typically happens when a persons car or truck breaks down on the road.  Is there a trusted company you can call to pick you up, or do you simply leave the car by the road and flag down help.

Lastly, if a trusted recovery service does not exist, do you think there is the demand for such a service, where people can call a dedicated number in the event of breakdown and they send a truck to repair the breakdown at the roadside, or tow you to the nearest garage or back home.

Finally, how much do you think people will be willing to pay annually to join a car breakdown service that guarantees to either fix their car by the roadside, or tow it to a garage.  I'm from the UK and am looking to start such a service in Nigeria in the near future.
Business / Car Breakdown And Repair In Nigeria by Barcholder: 10:03am On May 24, 2010
I'm based in the UK and will shortly be coming over to Nigeria to visit family. I have a major query to make. What is the state of the car breakdown and recovery business in Nigeria at present? I have heard all sorts of horror stories about how cars and trucks get abandoned by the roadside in the event of breakdown due to the lack of a mobile car repair service.

This condition afflicts both ordinary people and businesses alike. Is this the case, and if so, do you believe there is a market for such a service to be introduced to the country.

I'd be grateful for your responses.
Business / Re: I Need To Invest 2million Naira by Barcholder: 9:31pm On May 23, 2010
@Ondinino

I'm interested to find out more about the haulage contracts you currently have, as I have up to N5m to invest. Please get back to me with further information about the following:

The specific number of current contracts actually signed, and the length of the contracts
The agreed rates for each contracts
The number of additional contracts, if any, in the pipeline.

I would like to potentially progress matters speedily.

Regards
