my focus is on technical analysis presently, abeg give a brotha a hand with any pointers or software . The fact that you are learning is an inspiration. i dey wait. And thanx for the info on Niger. permit me to give you an unsolicited advice , try another broker. We share a broker . I opened a separate account and i get the lowest quote of the day when i give a market order. Recently i gave the two brokers the same quantity and no limits . You bet who got the least price.Having said that , am not saying they are not good,just that you can get a better deal someplace else.When peeps couldnt get phb , they got it at the first go.


 Anyone watching niger ins ? its done 4.6% for three straight days.

I'm not accusing anyone o! But if this thread really moves the market (and I'm pretty sure it moves the samller coys), could it not be open to "pump and dump". My message is to always do your homework regardless how how much respect or trust you have in a "guru". After all, this is a faceless forum.

I totally agree with you. Guru-dependency is next ailment that will be diagnosed here. I hope the T.S by Seun was enough to make peeps start learning the basics of investing, whether as a Technician like Father of 2 OR a Fundamentalist like Wanaj0 .Change is the only constant and Nairaland will not be here forever .In the meantime , we should do our homework , keep sharing and Learn from others. I think its a sin not to LEARN what is good. Investing sure is !

That has been the strategy since easimoni drew our attention to stocks heading north after discussion here. methinks some peeps read the ideas here before listening to their brokers.

In the spirit of Nairaland collaboration. Here is file 2 in the Easimoni series. The analysis tab has a coumn to the left that lins you straight to the NSE webpage for the stock you select. There are comments throughtout the file to guide you. You need the FSDH daily update to keep up with the price and trailing PE coulmns.

File 3 will be released in a week or so.

While we all focussed on the NSE , something futuristic might be brewing and could eventually make us all richer. I am researching NANOTECHNOLOGY and some of the findings are amazing . It could be a means to expand our horizons . Any takers ?

Well, to be fore warned is to be ,  Just perform or else MEND go soon be after you.

NEM will do well. Just got their annual report, BUT all is not yet clear as per the oustanding shares. NEM merged with Vigilant but yet to see the scheme of merger!!!!! Nothing about the share exchange ratio. Everything is kept secret like other insurance companies.

That you see millions being traded is not a sign that the share is available. As at 31st December 2006, NEM had only 2,722 shareholders. 24 shareholders own about 92.93% of the company and you can be sure that those guys are not selling. Even if they are going to sell, it will be strategic sales that will most likely be cross deals. Some of those 2,722 shareholders only have certificates that are not registered in CSCS!!!

Wanaj0 may be right but i bought 100k units of NEM recently so i dont think its scarce.

it seems NEM insurance is heavily sort after. It has been going northwards since last week. i told my broker to get it but its been stories. i intend cash in with 4-5months in mind looking at its previous capabilty and its present potential.

does anyone share view?  easimoni, wanajo, fatherof2, temmie10,

first you need to get a new broker , Nem ins is not that scarce with millions been traded everyday. I don't know about the price but one possible reason is THE INVESTMENT ADVISORY from ibtc. Once a company appears on the watch list of the big brokerage firms ,the price heads north because a lot of investors rely on those recomendation to choose stocks ,especially the short-term  traders.
