BankyGee: E go affect our ranking if we don't win in regulation time even if we win the PKs, but I get your point. Okay that's a really good point that I missed. We do need that ranking. |

Icon4s: Definitely not, na. Chelle should be given a three year contract. Lol I just wanted to take the opportunity to use your catch phrase about Iheanacho that year "He's not there yet". |

Icon4s: You finally have a voice, after we lost.
The fact that Chelle was not beaten from open play, shows he was not conquered. That team is still work in progress. I still maintain if we make it to the intercontinental play-offs and then the world cup the team will be hard to beat. We need to inject more quality and creativity into that midfield and wings positions so we can vary, more, our approach to attacks. So you are saying we are not there yet |

In this situation, when u imply someone missed a penalty on purpose. U are putting the person and their family at risk. That is nothing to play about. |

Bigzigg: Sorry, I guess you think this is U20 football If u can play u can play. Would she be the first player to play for the senior team at a young age? Oshoala, Ordega and Oparanozie all did it. |

PDPGuy: You’ve raised cogent points, especially pertaining to defending set pieces.
Waldrum may have to instruct the ladies to revert to woman to woman marking because zonal marking causes them to look confused whenever a corner kick or free kick is swung into the box U are absolutely right. Everyone was ball watching instead of attacking the ball. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Bascovanveli3: 12:44am On Apr 10, 2022 |
Bigzigg: Cos of what, exactly?... Like, what did she do? Long range strike around 80 min. At 88 minutes she wins a ball in front of her box and gets elbowed in their face for good measures. 93 minute mark. Ripped her opponent of the ball and put in a fine pass to get Onyi Echegini on her way. Onyi ended with a shot on target. |

Asisat Oshoala is out of this equation oooooo... I'm referring to someone else which i can't really mention her name. I didn't mention Oshoala. I am talking about the coach. |

Schemerkhiz: Why is it that some players looks good at Clubside and coming to the National Team they're not there, or should I say not good enough for the National Team but good enough (key Player) for her Clubside When will people start looking at the coach and stop taking the easy way out |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Bascovanveli3: 8:02pm On Apr 09, 2022 |
Schemerkhiz: Akudo Ogbonna is doing well at her age and still very young and open for improvement, am very much certain that she's good enough to understudy Ebi and Ohale. Randy have tried some other Home based players in the Center Back position before and they didn't live up to the billing, Akudo is already growing into the Position thanks to the Absence of Osinachi Ohale, if she was to be present Akudo wouldn't get to play or maybe come from the bench..
One thing Akudo lack's is that big stage Confidence which the likes of Plumptre and Nicole Payne have... Let's give her some time and see how she improves...
Rasheedat Ajibade is good and doing well but the few things i notice about her game is that she tend to hold on to the ball longer than expected which lead to her losing it in awkward position... Need to improve on her when to pass and when to hold on to the ball, this is where Tony Payne is far ahead of 90% of them...
Nicole Payne looks like the fastest player on the pitch yesterday, I remember when Tony posted on her Instagram page asking her follower who's faster between the two of them and they were all picking Nicole... There's no way she isn't going to be picked for the NWSL Draft after graduation except she chooses to move to Europe immediately after College without waiting for the Draft which comes up in January yearly, her pace and strength set her up ahead of her Mates, she just need to improve on her passes and pullouts, and also learn how to take setpieces..
Anyway Kudos to the whole team they did well, hopefully we would get to see a better performance next game.. Plumptre didn't look that good. In fact Akudo was better than her. Her side was targeted by the Canadians and she could have done better on both goals. I can't remember Akudo being in trouble but I didn't watch the full match. Nicole was a track star in high-school so that's expected. I liked her tenacity and fighting spirit. |

Schemerkhiz: You guys ain't even talking about Rasheedat Ajibade work in the Midfield. Did you guys see her at all, Ajibade gets better and better with each game for the Superfalcon..
Payne Sisters as our Wing Backs, I love that. Tony Payne is a Blessing to the team her versatility melt my heart...
21years Nicole Payne is full of Pace and Energy, but her end product isn't there yet still can't blame her cause she's still in College and will definitely grow and time goes on.. Hopefully when she graduates next year if she doesn't take up the Additional one year as a Senior College Player then Going Pro Straight should be the Best... Why u use style to avoid speaking on Akudo Ogbonna Rasheedat was good but why would you expect people to go crazy about an attacking midfielder in a 2-0 loss? Plus she did have that crazy moment where she lost the ball in her box. She either got too confident or tired. Loved the long range strike and her handling of the ball although she sometimes hung on a little too long. Toni payne is a star on this team. Nicole will only get better. It was a great joy watching both play together. Toni said they had never played together before since she is 6 years older, so that was the first time their parents watched them start a match together. |

Schemerkhiz: Wrong Wrong Wrong.... You shouldn't be saying this, didn't you see the VISA issue on ground, what do you expect the Coach to do when there where no players available... Well he could have taken Flourish, Onyenezide and Abiodun from the beginning I already heard his explanation and tendered an apology but I am watching him. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Bascovanveli3: 2:38pm On Apr 09, 2022 |
lovewins: I fancy having Flourish in the team, but I'll prefer it happens after the world cup.
"Snuck" may not be the appropriate word to characterise what happened. It's no news many of the girls had Visa problem, reason why a couple of our first team players didn't make the trip. According to the coach, he remembered Onyi from his recruiting days and gave her a call. She obviously didn't have visa issues cause of the US passport so her presence is justifiable, she also gave a good account of herself in my opinion. I was wrong I just heard the coach talk about it. My apologies to the gaffer on that |

Schemerkhiz: Onome Onome Onome Ebi.... She needs a replacement, this Younger Center Backs need to step up, the pace of the game is getting higher her experience and how she position is really working in her favour Akudo Ogbonna did very well today. She's a young CB |

TheGoodJoe:
I watched the video and I must say, I think the man was right.
Some might say he should not have taken it out on the ladies who just want to fly the flag and represent their country but the man made few salient points.
Football is now a global Force. If we paint that all is well in Nigeria, we do a great disservice to the hundreds dying everyday under the mayhem of the mismanagement of the current administration.
He is an old time footballer, he is letting us know that it is wrong for Nigerian youths to play for the country.
Flying the flag under and evil Government is the same thing as supporting them.
I never knew that but the man made his point clear. Protested in the way he knows how and maybe he might have started a change from another angle. He was wrong as hell and that was a punk move. This just proves some Nigerians love picking on the weak. Didn't the Super Eagles have a camp in Austria lately Where was my guy then? I guess Nigeria had a non evil government a couple months ago. There is no athlete that puts on the green white and green and thinks "let me give it all for my government". They have families and communities that they are representing. They represent you and I. |

damagnificentusb: This cannot be true. Jurgen klop listed Awoniyi on his 'PRESEASON LIST' after the lad scored truck load of goals last season. Liverpool even decided against inserting any 'obligation to buy' option in all his loan deals. All this points to the fact that liverpool sees Taiwo as the ideal striker to power them to reckoning in europe for years to come. YOU MUST BE AN HATER for peddling this nonsense rumour. Hater |
