Dear Compatriots,

I wish to bring to the notice of Nigeria Police Force and all relevant security agents and the public my narration of way lay between Kuchigoro and City Gate on Abuja Airport Express way.

It was on the 11/11/2018 around 11.29PM (night) that I was driving down from Apo heading to Wuse 2 with a guy and a lady at my back seat (who are my Taxify passangers).

Just about 2km from city Gate after Military cementry, a loud sound emanated from my front and back tires almost at the same time, the two tires are gone. My sudden struggle of bringing the vehicle to a stop and avoiding collision was successful, Alhamdulilahi.

Immediately I parked, the next vehicle behind me was in this same struggle, he successfully brought the car to a stop. He has a lady passanger at her back seat. We started talking empathizing for each other as well as starategizing on how quick to fix things and leave that place.

It was at that point that the lady passanger spotted some guys inside the gutter of the service lane, we were on the speed lane. The moment she sighted them, they ran into hiding. It was at this point it became obvious that we were at higher risk than we thought. They actually planted those objects to burst our tires, then they attack.

The passengers we had requested for Taxify and were picked up shortly, remaining only myself and the other car owner. I then pointed my wheel spanner towards the bush like a gun (crazy thought), immediately one of them Rose from their hidden and questioned me sternly: "why are pointing something like gun to us despite the other lady told you that we are here?".

I gladly replied that " What are you doing there by this time of the night?". He answered, with a low confidence(shaky voice), " some people put stones and iron on the road that bursted your tires, so we are waiting to remove those objects from the road". I replied, that is the type of person I am looking for to look them up in our station. I then asked him, " make i come?. He said no, continue with your tire.

I immediately picked my phone and called a police officer on my contact, and I spoke loud , though that man could not help. While all this drama wasnongoing, my colleague wad quickly using my jark (his own was bad) to sort out tire replacement.

My colleague then pretend calling again, confirming the location of the officers coming to our location. At this point, they disaapered again, as my eyes was on them despite the darkness. Our vehicles are both Toyota Corolla 2005, a guy with that same car saw us and parked, he immediately mentioned we need to leave here now that regularly attack people here, at that point we were almost done.
So we quickly drove off, of course with one of my bad tires.


If it were to be only one vehicle involved, they may succeed in robbing or kidnapping the fellow.
If there were street light , they may not feel comfortable staying there.

If they see patrol team passing at interval, they may flnot be confident enough to carry out their plan.

Please use your good office to look into this, to help safeguard the life and properties of Nigerians.
