Fuel price hike-no protest food stuff price hike-no protest. buhari just disappear-no protest unlike yaradua time. naira is loosing value-no protest. took 8 months to select incompetent ministers-no protest |
shigothang:Even if its not empire,is ife under Oyo empire ![]() kindly post what you yourself have learnt from your history lesson sir so we could benefit from it. |
raker300:This people and illogicality,The doctor and the debtor that want to jump into lagoon are yorubas abi?...North reject afonjas 2016 when did they declare their dependent on north?...lolz,you guys can eat GEJ faeces for lunch, has he EVER speak in support of biafra?...you guys have first class in use and dump. lolz....they are always as illogical has illogicality itself. 1.yorubas are not to be trusted but FFK,fayose,Dino melaye, bukola saraki and bode George are their heroes 2.we want biafra but they couldn't demand for it when their adopted son GEJ was the president. 3.we own lagos but the oba of lagos is not HRM oba chukwumerije chioma okoro. 4.we want biafra but still participated in 2015 election in nigeria and they couldn't recall all their sons serving in leadership capacity in nigeria. 5.They are not coward but their father ojukwu absconded to ivory coast from war leaving his 3000 000 followers to be massacred. 6.we love ojukwu but the party APGA founded by him is in comatose while they are embracing PDP founded by fulanis(babangida and co) all around. 7.APC is a yoruba/fulani party but ken nnamani, kalu and co have decamped to that same party. 8.we own 75percent of lagos yet tinubu,a yoruba man is lagos biggest landlord to the again. 9.We are self -reliant!...but they will not stop blame- shifting(yoruba-betrayed us) as if yoruba had a convenant with them from Adam 10.Yoruba Muslims are anti-igbo yet bukola saraki,a yoruba muslim is their hero. 11.we love ojukwu, but when the same ojukwu contested for president in 2003 they decided to vote fulani party the PDP . 12.Awolowo orchestrated how we met our waterloo at the civil war by betraying ojukwu,we must ate him and his tribesmen but ojukwu described the same awolowo as "the best president Nigeria never had". 13.Wole soyinka became their sworn enemy and a mad professor simply because he said the truth by saying "the former first lady of the country they HATE is a mear appendages to power".But the same wole soyinka was imprisoned fighting for the country they LOVE biafra. |
rigarmortis:I agreed with spiritual head because even when Oyo empire was existing,it is legally prohibited for them to invade Ife territory where Apomu town belong.Infact,Oyo empire started to become weak because they invaded the town of Apomu under Ile-Ife. There is difference between Oyo empire and yorubaland.Oyo empire(largest)existed within yorubaland, along other empires like Ife.So,when Oyo empire was existing Alaafin was the the emperor of the empire not yorubaland while Ooni was and is the spiritual head of all the empires in yorubaland. After the fall of Oyo empire as the largest Ibadan rose as the largest empire in the land, the reason why Olubadn doesn't recognise Alaafin as his superior!!. Presently yoruba has no single political headquarters because each former empires Oyo,Ibadan(succeeding powerful empire to Oyo),Egba,Lagos(oyo empire didnt stretch to lagos) etc will want to lay claim to it.However,no controversy about the fact that Ooni of Ife is the spiritual head while ile -ife the spiritual capital. YOU STUDY THE PAST TO UNDERSTAND THE PRESENT. |
tosyne2much:To me,its not flawed.Although, the Oba of Lagos has always been ill-mannered.That doesn't mean we should not recognise a justified ill-mannerism.However,a mature person, unlike Oba of lagos, will decide not to be ill-mannered even if it is justifiable. |
That serves ooni of ife right. The ooni is useless.he deserves no respect. His people is being killed by fulani and detained by the same fulani he did nothing about it.Instead of that he was busy touring the world like "Ajala". He doesn't behave like Oba,he will be touring the world, attending shows, visiting rich men and politicians.People visit Oba not the other way round unless he will visit his fellow Oba. Although, the Oba of Lagos too behaved in an immature manner. |
Chai!!!,..this man is still clueless and unintelligent. |
I want to be like tinubu....The man will just keep silent wherever he is,you will not even see him parading aso rock like obj and he will be making news!!! Just make the word TINUBU an headline at the frontpage of your newspaper, then, profit is yours. |
Base on the constitutional role assigned to the office of the SFG,it seems the SFG is like a prime minister in nigeria even powerful than the vice-president.No wonder, the question, who is the presidency? FILEBE:Exactly,I once thought that way,but if the other tribe is left unchecked the stereotyping could affect the other type negatively.Take Ibadan city, which is the cradle of sub-saharan African modernity as an example, the humiliation the city has suffered from some malicious people on nairaland could scared away investors and visitors and give a very bad false mpression about the city.Personally,I have nothing to benefit from resisting tribal bashing against my tribe but i'm looking at the overall long term implications if those stereotypers are not checked. |
Criticize001:that will be kaduna nzeogwu who plotted the First coup. |
FILEBE:Seriously,I used to be guest on nairaland, but I decided from observation that a particular group need to be thought that they dont have the monopoly of stereotyping other tribes and to be corrected of lies they tell on nairaland. I personally hate tribal bashing. We are all brothers and sisters.Seun should find a way of taming this menace. |

lilytender:FFK self talk am now.He said "intimate relationship" and he is ready to go court. Angry Fani-Kayode insists on intimate relationship with Bianca Ojukwu, ready for legal action September 9, 2013 Ben Ezeamalu(An igbo man) In the aftermath of the declaration by Bianca Ojukwu, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, that she was unsatisfied with the apology issued by the former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, the latter has decided to take a belligerent position. Mr. Fani-Kayode, in a statement by his Personal Assistant, Tosin Emmanuel, said that he welcomes “whatever course of action” Mrs. Ojukwu’s lawyer intends to pursue. The former minister also said that he would institute his own legal proceedings against the widow of the late Biafran warlord “for her barefaced and malicious lies and consistent claim” that she has never met him. After claiming, in his controversial piece ‘A Word For Those Who Call Me A Tribalist’ that he had had a “long-standing and intimate relationship” with Mrs. Ojukwu while she was unmarried; Mr. Fani-Kayode Thursday, withdrew the comment. Mr. Fani-Kayode had also extended his ‘retraction’ to Adaobi Uchegbu and Chioma Anasoh, the two other ladies he mentioned in his article. But Mrs. Ojukwu, in her response, stated that Mr. Fani-Kayode’s statement “falls far short of an apology and retraction.” “Whilst it is important to reiterate that Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu has never met Chief Femi Kayode and does not know him in person, it is pertinent to note that the statement issued through Mr Akinola Babatunde Rotimi, falls far short of an apology and retraction of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode’s false and libelous outbursts and is merely a desperate attempt to lend credence to fabrications, which he seeks to present as reality with intent to gloss over the very serious issues arising from the reckless publication,” Mrs. Ojukwu said in a statement by her Personal Assistant, Isaac Igboanu. “In the circumstances, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu is left with no option than to leave the matter in the hands of her lawyers,” she added. The former beauty queen’s reply angered Mr. Fani-Kayode who responded, on Monday, with a tersely worded statement saying that Mrs. Ojukwu’s demeanour indicates that she is desperate to go to war over the issue as well as cover up “the truth about their past.” “We really do wonder what Mrs. Ojukwu really wants from Chief Fani-Kayode and what her agenda really is? “Throughout this matter Chief Fani-Kayode has chosen the path of peace and has attempted to avoid an ugly and public quarrel with Bianca Ojukwu out of respect to the memory of her late father Chief C.C. Onoh and the memory of her late husband, Dim Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu,” Mr. Fani-Kayode said. The ex-minister stated that despite “bending over backwards” to publicly withdraw his comments in several national and online newspapers, Mrs. Ojukwu has refused to be appeased. “This is sad and unfortunate and it is beyond the imagination of anyone that a serving Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria would so readily and so easily be given to telling such lies. “Chief Fani-Kayode is not comfortable with publicly joining issues with ladies when it comes to matters of a private nature such as this because he was well brought up and he is a gentleman but it is clear that Bianca Ojukwu is desperate to go to war over this issue and to cover up the truth about their past,” said Mr. Fani-Kayode. “It is also clear that she has constituted herself into the arrowhead of a group of people that are determined to use her and this whole unsavoury episode to attempt to distract attention from the wider and more important issues raised in the essay and to discredit him. “Since that is the case we welcome whatever action Ojukwu wishes to take in court and we shall gladly meet her there. “We will also be instigating our own legal proceedings against her in due course for her barefaced and malicious lies and her consistent claim that she has never met Chief Fani-Kayode all in an attempt to libel, defame, diminish and discredit him before the entire world,” he added. Mr. Fani-Kayode reiterated that not only did he have a relationship with Mrs. Ojukwu, but that he “knew her far better than she cares to publicly admit.” “The precise nature of that relationship will be explored and exposed in open court,” Mr. Fani- Kayode said. “It is not in the nature of Chief Fani-Kayode to fight unnecessary and distractive battles over flippant matters such as this but on this occasion he has been compelled to do so simply because he will do whatever it takes to protect his integrity and establish the fact that he has told no lie. “Since she has continued her shameless perfidy and wishes to tread the path of deceit and confrontation then so be it. “Finally let it be clearly understood that at no point did Chief Fani-Kayode lie about the nature of his relationship with Ojukwu. However he did not feel that it was appropriate or necessary to share the details of that relationship with the public because he felt that such matters were strictly private. “The fact that she mistook his mature exercise of restraint and discretion, even when provoked and insulted, his desire for peace and his gentlemanly nature for weakness is not only unfortunate but also a grave miscalculation on her part. “Once again we reiterate the fact that we counsel Ojukwu to take whatever course of action she pleases and we welcome this opportunity to expose her for what she is. “The matter has been referred to our lawyers for final preparation. They will prepare a vigorous defence to Ojukwu’s absurd allegations and they will also determine our next line of action against her,” Mr. Fani-Kayode said.
