SolaOmoniyi: Former presidential aide Reno Omokri argues that Nigerians often overlook the country’s progress in education, economy, energy, and inflation, insisting that “Nigeria happening” also means positive developments.
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has called on Nigerians to acknowledge the progress being made across several sectors of the country instead of attributing national identity only to negative outcomes.
Omokri, in a statement on Monday, said the phrase “Nigeria has happened to me” is often used to describe setbacks, while the many positive developments in the country are overlooked.
According to him, Nigeria is experiencing measurable improvements in education, the economy, electricity supply, inflation, and fuel exports.
Omokri disclosed that more than 600,000 Nigerians have benefited from student loans provided by the federal government to enable them pursue higher education. He described the initiative as one of the most impactful social policies under the current administration.
He noted that Nigeria’s inflation rate dropped to 20.12% in August 2025, from 21.88% in July, reflecting a gradual decline in food prices across the country. He contrasted this progress with Argentina’s worsening economic situation, adding that several other countries are struggling to manage inflation.
Omokri also pointed to progress in the energy sector, stating that Nigeria recently achieved its highest-ever electricity generation output, with a peak of 5,801.84 megawatts and a maximum daily output of 128,370.75 megawatt-hours (MWh).
He explained that Nigeria has moved from being Africa’s largest petrol importer in 2023 to becoming the leading exporter of refined petroleum products in West Africa, a shift that has contributed to more stable fuel prices locally.
Omokri said the economy has expanded by about Read more... https://dailyobserver.ng/may-nigeria-keep-happening-to-me-reno-omokri/ I was in Ibadan earlier after 3 years and I marvel at the level of developmental change! |

AMINDA: Tinubu forced Ganduje to resign as chairman when the prospect of Kwankwaso joining APC was in full swing. It was one of Kwankwaso's demands. Previously, Ganduje was stalling his resignation as demanded by Tinubu until he received a visit from a top head of an agency with unsigned resignation letter along with his corruption files. It was the disappointment and shame that banished him to London until he was prevailed upon to return by his loyalists. He's only "loyal" because they have his files. His enthusiastic return, just like this statement, is one final push to try to make Kwankwaso's defection to APC as unpalatable as possible.
Tinubu will miscalculate if he thinks he will gain more by replacing Shettima for Kwankwaso. The fallout of such decision will precipitate the implosion of APC in the North. Unknown to many, the APC in Kano is already highly factionalised and only being held by a thread. The opposition is set to benefit from all likely scenarios. I won't explain further. Game on! This sounds like another buhari is jubril of Sudan gibberish |

Danandosky: So u now know that each health care professional is important in the health ecosystem, but u have done your hierarchy and placed pharmacist as the least important, , that their roles can be carried out by anyone, I don't blame you, it's the country we find ourselves, I believe u know what pharmacists are in a functional system in developed countries, learn not to talk down on any professional as being least important in the scheme of things... Role of a pharmacist can not be carried out by anyone.stop the inferiority complex!...

Tolupage: Just left GH Gwarinpa some 2 hours ago, a facility where doctors are scarce and tens were turned back cause no doctor at the GOPD, managed to find a Dr at the A&E to interpret my test result and give some prescription... Something he did grindingly and in haste, not because he's busy or there were clients but because he thought my case wasn't "an emergency".
Anyways went to the pharm to get the prescription and I was attended to by an amazing pharm. She welcomed me with a smile, politely offering me a seat, answered my questions including those beyond the prescription I came with.
She service was a 10/10. You are a pharmacist! |

Danandosky: I don't think you know anything about Pharmacists, according to u, pharmacist are not licenced to give injection in Nigeria, a country with a chaotic health system but quacks, CHEWs, boys that served their oga at head bridge can give injections... Is like you are still in the stone age, pharmacist are well trained, clinical pharmacist are integral part of the health care team in developed countries, and can counter doctors prescriptions if deemed to be inappropriate, in fact doctors seek their input in many situations of drug therapy.... There are consultant pharmacists in Nigeria for your information...and to add to this, remove the pharmacy department from any teaching hospital and see if the facility can generate any reasonable revenue again...over 80% of patients that come to the hospital go home with one medication or another.... For u to even say anybody that understand the shelf drug arrangement can do the work of the pharmacist shows that you are myopic in ur thought... Know that any mistake a pharmacist make can be deadly, like giving the wrong drug, not explaining side effects, wrong dosing, etc
There are lots of cases of kidney failure and liver damage in the country because majority of the people who handle and dispense drugs are non pharmacist and lack the necessary knowledge, dey give wrong drugs, at wrong doses, without even knowing what the cause of the condition is... leading to serious organ damage... especially with painkillers, antibiotics.... U better ask questions or better still, do your research well before coming to talk in public space like someone who's not enlightened
I There is nothing special in being a "CONSULTANT"....you can be a consultant in anything. There are consultants in finance, engineering even among cleaners
BUT..Let people know that the training of a medical doctor and a pharmacist are different You guys need to stop misinforming people.
While pharmacists think drugs Lab scientist thinks Tests Physiotherapist thinks maneuvers Doctors thinks holistic management which go beyond just Tests,drugs,maneuvers,symptoms...etc
The training is different and each professionals are important in the health ecosystem |

SmartPolician: Bros, take it from me - women are not wired to take charge of domestic responsibilities but men are. In fact, the happiness of a man comes from having the capacity to take care of his family. On the flipside, the happiness of a woman comes from having someone who gives and gives and keeps giving her.
TBH, it's not their fault. That's because they are wired to play their traditional role in the family - taking care of their home while the man provides. So, if you ever make a woman fend for the home while the man is there, all hell will be let lose.
That's why it is said that a man will take care of his family for 20 years and everyone will be happy. But if the situation flips and the woman does it for one day, the entire community will know.
In summary, women will always find it extremely difficult to marry a man who won't be providing while she uses the money she makes to do whatever she likes. That's why they say, My money is my money, while my husband's money is our money. Being a guy is a scam ..Just like being as adult |
