You guys have all spoken well... So well.... The basic qualities they seek in a GD are interpersonal skills ...communication....leadership... And teamwork... I will advice that u research on these qualities. Then ask yourself sincerely if u possess them. Engage in a discussion and assess yourself if u do have them. Its not about ur intelligence...ur dressing...ur mastery of grammar... But pray fOr God to bless u with those four qualities. If I should advice u on a particular area of concentration, dat wouldn't be wise cos I studied deep about oil and gas sector but on that day I was given a topic on health. Smiles.... How bizarre!.. But His grace...as usual... Poured the words into my mouth and I just gave two very short and calm speeches while doing so I communicated with my group looking at their eyes with smiles on my face. Mind u... Its a group discussion... Not a group argument. Just as one of us adviced above, try to be current globally. Don't specialize ur tot. As u do, do not give up the habit of praying and hoping diligently. If we do not get this Job, then God has a bigger and better plans for us all. Cos the truth still remains... Its not all of us... Including myself that must get this job.. My Hope...our Hope is built on nothing less but on Christ our solid Rock.

Let me do this for the benefit of the upcoming batch. All the stages had been a result of Favor I must say, but hardwork is also needed.
I will start form the 2nd stage, "Group Discussion", the secret to this is Vast Reading, Team Spirit, Confidence and Eloquence.
Vast Reading- Ensure you know about the current world happenings, Transportation system, Fight in Syria, Political Tussle in America, Devaluation of Naira, Corruption Fight in Nigeria, Dwindling price of Crude oil, etc, the easiest way to go about this is to read online materials, BBC, CNN, Channels can help.
You need to prepare this hard so that you will be able to contribute effectively no matter the topic you are given. Plus this will greatly increase your knowledge.
Team Spirit: Always put the team first. A hint of a technique I used, I ensured I wrote all the points my other colleagues mentioned, ensured proper and fair timing for each colleague and before you know it I was the one coordinating the show. The examiner noticed my hard work to the group but made no comment. At the end of the day I was the one who gave the closing remark cos I had all points written down.
But don't force anything, you don't have to be the leader just be actively involved.
Confidence and Eloquence: You will agree with me that effective communication aids knowledge, ensure you sound smart and confident, cite examples to make it more interesting and assuring.
By the way, keep praying for those of us awaiting medicals too oo, Enjoy.
