NYSC Corpers attached to the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Health working in different healthcare institutions within the Akwa Ibom health management board are being owed several months of promised state arrears.

Many have been serving for months without any pay. A batch is scheduled to pass out this month and have only received pay for 2 months out of the entire service year while other corpers in other batches haven't been paid a dime. Infact, the previous set of corpers that passed out early February are still being owed. Every complaints to the ministry of health have been met with months and months of promises that they will pay up and nothing ever shows up after.

The country is getting harder, healthcare workers working without pay is never a fair thing. Some of them are Doctors(who are being paid 30k a month yet this meagre amount is being owed) , Nurses(who receive about 10k per month), Physiotherapists, Medical lab scientists etc. They have worked in unfamiliar environments and conditions, many werrent even provided accomodation at their PPAs but they did let this discourage them from taking care of Ibomites in the different parts of Akwa ibom where healthare would have suffered without the extra hands of these corpers..It is sad that this is how they are being rewarded.

Hoping this would gain enough traction and get the attention of those who are in charge of rectifying this issue.
